“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Pisco had a wonderful time with Alexis. Long walks, regular attention, and a nice place to relax. We appreciated her regular stream of photos. Highly recommend Alexis. We'll use her again.”

“Terri has watched my pup a few times now and it's been great each time! The most recent time was for a whole week. I was concerned about finding someone who could handle a wild and not-yet fully trained puppy and Terri has been so sweet, gracious and relaxed about everything. She even sent me photo/video so I could see how Zelda was doing. I love the farm atmosphere that Terri provides. She's clearly a true animal lover and Zelda seems to enjoy spending time visiting with both the human and animal friends she's made at Terri's. So glad we found someone capable, trustworthy and kind!”

“Jennie and her sweet daughter did such a terrific job making our little Dixie and us comfortable on our first night away. She enjoyed playing with their dog and all the attention. Wonderful experience and I look forward to boarding her again!”

“Jamie was wonderful. It was very easy to communicate with her regarding keeping my Artie. She responded quickly to my questions. She is attentive and loving and I appreciate how she made up with my little dog, treating him as her own. I will definitely use her again.”
“Maria and José were so conscietious in taking care of Molly’s dietary restrictions. She was well cared for and looked great when we picked her up. They sent us múltiple updates during her stay. She seemed very happy with all the TLC.”

“I left my babies for a week in the caring hands of Max and at all times I felt they were safe, loved, and well supervised. Max's laid back attitude put the doggies at ease and I'll admit, I was a little annoyed when they wouldn't come to me at pick up! LOL! That just speaks volumes about Max. I wouldn't hesitate leaving my doggies with Max again! Thank you so much!”

“I cannot express how much we appreciate Julie! She is extremely responsible, always reliable, and loves my dog like one of her own. This is the first time we did an in-home stay for our large, goofy lab. The peace of mind we have knowing he is so well taken care of is invaluable. I highly recommend Julie.”

“Allison was amazing! She listened and went above and beyond to take care of my pup who requires extra attention with his eating habits! She gave me regular updates on how my pup was doing. I will definitely use her help when I need a sitter next time!”

“I seriously can’t thank Nate enough! I was totally stuck when my original sitter canceled last minute, and he swooped in and saved the day. He was super easy to communicate with, kept me updated the whole time, and sent the sweetest photo updates that made me feel so much better. When he brought my dog back, she almost didn’t even want to come with me. that’s how much she loved being with him! It’s clear he really cares about the dogs he watches. I’m beyond grateful and will 100% be asking for his help again. Thanks Nate ♥️”

About: Hey! I'm Sadie. I've lived in West Asheville for about 4 years now. I'm a former overnight pet sitter and dog trainer/handler at Evolutionary K9 in North GA. As well as a former Kennel Tech at a Daycare/Boarding & Grooming spot in Black Mountain. I have taken classes on Dog Cognition + Emotion through Duke University. I love animals and have my own 9 year old Siberian Husky who I spend most of my time with when I'm not working. I've been in animal care this for roughly 10 years. I have taken care of young dogs, senior dogs, dogs/cats with special needs, goats, snakes etc and would love to give your babe the care they need when you're away. I'm typically available for drop by walks, visits, boarding and general care throughout the week and weekends dependent on my work schedule. Thanks and look forward to meeting you and your pet! I have my own pup at home so I do not do overnight stays but I do boarding and I am flexible throughout the week/weekends dependent on my work schedule. I would be happy to drop by and feed, walk and/or play with your pets while you're at work, etc. (My husky is an escape artist so I am extremely careful and mindful when walking anyone's pets!)
“Very sweet! Yuki loved staying with Megan. Megan was willing to care for my pup VERY last minute and I couldn’t be more thankful! Megan’s yard is perfect for dogs! Definitely will have yuki here again!”

“Michelle was very responsive and sent many pictures throughout Turkey’s stay. There seems to be lots of friends to play with and Turkey came home tired and happy!”

“Keily went above and beyond or expectations! We received daily check ins with pictures and videos. The environment she provided was excellent for our high energy dog with several walks and activities to meet the demand or dog needed. It felt like our pup was on her own vacation and apart of her family. We are so happy to have found Keily and will be utilizing her services in the future. 10/10 recommended.”

“Deborah took excellent care of our little Yorkie. Our dog is a senior dog and needed her daily medication. Deborah was great with her and made sure she got her medicine each morning. Highly recommended Deborah!”

“Sarah is the BEST sitter I have come across thus far. She kept me informed on how my Rock was doing from his morning walks to his evening routine and good nights. I HIGHLY recommend Sarah and I will be using her again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bent Creek
We love Kali. River had the best time and I was able to focus on my business trip without worrying about him because I knew he was in such great hands. We just moved to the area and it took a while for me to find someone I felt comfortable leaving him with. We are so grateful to have found Kali, and we will definitely be using her a lot in the future. I highly recommend her.

Lizzie was super responsive and gave us updates frequently! She has a huge yard for the dogs to sniff around in and gives them walks that they are used to! I felt good with Frankie being at Lizzie’s while we were on vacation and will definitely book with Lizzie again when needed! Thanks so much Lizzie!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bent Creek home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bent Creek.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bent Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
