We had him drop in twice a day to play with them and feed them and got updates and pictures with each visit. About: I grew up in a home where both of my parents were dog trainers and ran a boarding and breeding business, so I’ve been around dogs my entire life and learned a lot about proper care, behavior, and handling. I’m confident with dogs of all temperaments and understand how to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I treat every pet like my own and give them plenty of attention and affection. I truly love animals and always prioritize their well-being. I’m already committed to my 10k steps daily walks, and will be committed to feeding, playtime, and providing lots of love and attention. I enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for every dog like they’re my own. I make sure they stay on their regular routine with feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, fresh water, and lots of love and attention. I also send photos/videos and updates so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away.

“Douglas is extraordinary. Truly, I have never felt more comfortable having a sitter in my home taking care of my kitties. He displayed high professionalism, kindness, and dedication to this job and animals. During the meet and greet he was very personable, asked questions, and we could tell he was incredibly knowledgeable about cats. I requested extra photos, and he went above and beyond, even sending me videos and giving me updates during the sit and not just via the Rover Card! I left very detailed notes, and he did every single thing I asked for, even opening and closing my curtains for my plants! My kitties LOVED him. I've never seen them warm up to a new person SO quickly, especially my male cat, who is usually broody and will hide. Not only did he not hide, but he took treats from Douglas!! I am very impressed by Douglas and his work ethic, not only meeting the needs of my kitties and caring for them with compassion but also exceeding my expectations (which is admittedly VERY hard to do lol.) He was extremely communicative and took extra measures to make sure my kitties AND myself were comfortable. I cannot emphasize how relieved and worry-free I was during my camping trip, where I didn't have service most of the time. I was not stressed at all, knowing they were in good hands, which has never happened with a sitter before. Even sitters I trusted, I still worried. We have had several sitters over the years and none of them even come close to Douglas. If you're not booking with him, you're crazy. He is a MUST HAVE and I will never book with anyone else again (desperately praying that he will always be available lmao.) I'm so incredibly grateful to him!!!!”

About: I have been surrounded by pets all my life whether it’s family, family friend, or friend’s pets, they’ve all loved me. I am also on top with my communication and very responsive so it will be a bonus to get good updates with your furball ! I have a cat that I take care of everyday; Properly fed, played, and cuddly with. I have a lot time spent with my cat and my availability is very open as I spend a lot of time being home. I take care of pets by following directions from owners, feeding them properly, providing them good attention, and will be able to communicate all the time about pets. I love taking pictures too so you can get cute pictures of your pets!

About: I grew up with having dogs in my house. At one point we had two at once! I was expected to take care of them so I learned the foundations from my family. I am use to bigger dogs such as golden retrievers but I also enjoy more medium sized dogs as well. I have experience being trusted with caring for pets of my family, my friends, and strangers. I feel confident in my ability to watch dogs of any breed, and I am also confident of my ability to be a patient and caring cat caretaker. While I did not grow up with cats, I have had multiple experiences taking care and providing a loving environment for them. I am pretty go with the flow, flexible, and eager to hang out with your pets! I am a graduate student that will have classes during the evening, but I would love to fill my day with animals! I am willing to be flexible in providing care and I am looking forward to helping out! With my experience I understand that being a caring and attentive caregiver is important for pets. They are almost always unconditionally loving and I mirror that in my care. I am not afraid to ask questions on how to provide your pet the best care. About: I have taken care of my neighbor’s dogs and cat a few times, providing them with food, water, walks and time outside to use the restroom. I have had pets of my own my entire life. I am working part time at a salon, currently, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I am available to give your pets all the love, care and play that they need. I have a fenced yard where my dog stays, I have a crate as well if needed. This can be used to ensure the safety of both pets

About: For most of my childhood, I never was allowed to have a pet, despite being so eager to have one. However, I did know many friends and families who had dogs and cats, whom I would visit frequently. I would help feed them, walk them, play with them, give them gentle petting when they were receptive, etc. As a teenager I moved around a lot with my single mother and my younger sister, so I got to live with a few different pet owners: One of my adult roommates had an old senior Shih Tzu. The sweet girl had poor vision and moved slowly, but I did my best to help my roommate and handled her dog with care everyday. Another woman I lived with had two cats; the male was affectionate and friendly, and the female was the feisty and shy one. I approached both very differently, aware of their boundaries, and formed a sweet bond with both :) Then my mother’s friend, who had a bunny! I learned a lot about how to give them healthy and fulfilling lives. Bunnies are very high maintenance, yet admittedly my favorite animal to care for. It’s why I actually ended up having a pet rabbit to spend every day with when I lived with my grandmother for years. I’m now living in a faraway town and unable to see my sweet bunny as often, but I’m most experienced in rabbit care and grooming!! All in all, I get along with most animals, and I find animals of all types just precious, even during the more lackluster aspects of having them. I understand each pet is their own individual with unique needs and I will always be attuned to that. I feed crows and pigeons (not around other animals though), I photograph insects and reptiles… yes, I just love animals and living creatures. I have plenty of money saved, but currently no income coming in because I don’t have a job. This is a way I am trying to make money to continue to save up for life expenses. As a result, I am literally free whenever, haha! I have no defined schedule whatsoever, but I do have routines and a list of hobbies I’d love to pursue in my journal. I get up early in the morning to walk around my neighborhood usually, and I do the same during sunset. The rest of the day depends; sometimes I read non-fiction, other times I head to Lake Evans, or see a live music performance at a cafè. I also dedicate some entire days to activism and fundraisers, so if I’m unavailable to care for a pet I will simply be upfront about that! I have a two story house, and it’s quite spacious! For rabbits or other animals that need an extra danger-proof house, the floors are almost completely free of things that pose any danger (such as sharp objects or accessible wires), and can be blocked off when there are visitors. The house has a mix of smooth wooden and carpeted flooring. I have three roommates, but only one is consistently staying in the house, and spends most time outside of the house. She has expressed permission to allow an animal every once in a while, she is trustworthy, and I would never leave an animal around any other human being unsupervised. The house also has a spacious backyard with high fencing and grass. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for dog walking! There’s a walkway with trees, flower bushes, small fields of grass, and it’s a hotspot for hummingbirds haha.

About: 15 years of animal experience, grew up with 2 labs, a pomeranian and most recently a cat. Experience giving animals medicine orally, walking, and playing. Primarily free on the weekends and in the mornings, I am currently in vet tech school so M-Thur I am in class from 1:30p-6:30p I understand that trust is essential when it comes to caring for pets, I promise to respect their boundaries and take things slowly if needed.

About: Through volunteering at an animal shelter, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many kinds of dogs. From senior dogs to puppies! All of which I am capable of caring for. I’m currently a full time student at RCC, I major in music so I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate any of my clients demands. Living in an apartment allows me to easily take them for walks outside in green areas, where they can explore and enjoy some fresh air. If needed, I can safely crate pets to provide them with a secure space to relax. My home is a welcoming environment filled with love and attention, ensuring every pet feels safe and at ease. Building trust is key, and I take the time to understand each pet's unique personality and needs, creating a positive experience for both them and their owners.

About: I’m a PhD student with a flexible work schedule that allows me to care for cats and small dogs. I am available for drop in visits, boarding, house-sitting. I dont currently live with any pets of my own. Cashew is okay! He just lives elsewhere. I live close to my school which allows me more time at home and the nature of my job allows me the flexibility to be at home more often than a traditional 9-5. I’ll make sure to take care of basic necessities like food/water and playtime as well as any messes that spring up each day. I’ll be sure to take note of any special requests as well within reason!
