“Elizabeth was amazing!! She was a quick responder and I know Leo was loved and well looked after by all the pictures she sent of him! Would definitely book again with her!!”

“I dropped my puppy off with Kristina and she was ready for our appointment waiting on the porch. Kristina is very friendly and gave updates on Dutchess stay. She is consistent with helping me potty train her as well. We have only had 1 accident since her stay. We will definitely see her soon.”

“Winnie is incredibly kind and thoughtful. She took the time to learn about my dog, Zoe, before even meeting her, which I really appreciated. Zoe immediately felt comfortable with Winnie — she played with her and even laid next to her during their time together, which says a lot! Winnie provided regular updates, which gave me great peace of mind. I would absolutely love to have Winnie watch Zoe again whenever I’m not able to. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello. I am opening my schedule up to take care of more pets. I already have care of two influencers animals full time. But I am willing to add more pets to my schedule . If possible . I am normally there all day to night for whatever the needs of the animals are . I also watch peoples pets when they are out if it’s not my regular clients I make a list of the schedule you usually have your pet on and try to make it as easy as I can for your pets .

About: I have been a life long dog lover. I grew up on a ranch with many animals which is where my love if animals started. I have always been the go-to person for friends and families who need help dog sitting while they are away. I have experience and background clearance through Riverside County Sheriffs Animal Services as a volunteer and dog foster. When your pet is in my care, they will be treated as my own with love and structure. I am a full time teleworker. I am home with my own dog daily. I am able to tend to the dog’s needs anytime and regularly take short lunch walks to manage energy. I have a fenced yard and multiple kennels in the home, if needed. I prefer to have dogs that can be comfortable in the space without being in a kennel, but it is available if the pup prefers a kennel. If I am caring for the pet in another home, regular check-ins in a scheduled basis.

“I couldn't be happier with Juan's pet-sitting service! He not only took excellent care of Conchita but also went the extra mile by sending adorable photos throughout the day, providing peace of mind. Juan's professionalism and genuine love for animals make him the ideal pet sitter. Five stars without a doubt!”

“Patti did it again, gave my doggie a safe and happy place to stay. When we got there, Sophie ran right up to Patti, no gestation at all. She remembered her and obviously was happy to be there. Patti is close to all my doctor offices there in Loma Linda, so she's in a perfect location for me when I need her. Thank you Patti!”

About: I grew up in a home where both of my parents were dog trainers and ran a boarding and breeding business, so I’ve been around dogs my entire life and learned a lot about proper care, behavior, and handling. I’m confident with dogs of all temperaments and understand how to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I treat every pet like my own and give them plenty of attention and affection. I truly love animals and always prioritize their well-being. I’m already committed to my 10k steps daily walks, and will be committed to feeding, playtime, and providing lots of love and attention. I enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for every dog like they’re my own. I make sure they stay on their regular routine with feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, fresh water, and lots of love and attention. I also send photos/videos and updates so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away.
About: My passion for animals began when I was a young child. Being able to turn my love for animals into something tangible has been a dream come true. I was able to start my pet sitting experience 25 years ago and hoping to continue to add many more years! My range with experience includes rodents to dogs. If your pet has special food requirements, I can be of service . I’ve stayed over at clients homes to offer pet care. I’ve had fur babies stay overnight at my home. I’ve also housed day camps at my home. I enjoy taking fur babies on walks, and to local parks. I don’t mind taking fur babies in the car. Feel free to ask for more details on services I may have forgotten to mention! I am available Monday-Sunday all day. During the regular school year, I would need to be available to drop my kids off for school and pick them up. I am a doting pet mommy of 8 indoor kitties and 1 doggie. They all have access to whatever tickles their fancy. There is always ample water available at all times. Cats graze all day so food bowls are placed around for them to get to but high enough the dog cannot get to it. My pets and the pets of my clients have been able to sleep where ever the want (couch, cat trees, chairs, beds, etc). We are a super loving family and really love having fur babies around. We hope to welcome yours! One final note, I don’t allow my dog or the fur babies of my clients to stay outside overnight . Everyone is tucked inside for the night. When I need to step away from my home, I will typically ask the echo dot to play music for background noise.

About: I've grown up around dogs my whole life and have been walking and caring for friends and family's dogs for years. I know how to give each pup the attention and exercise they need. My daily routine is very flexible. I'm available every morning and evening for walks, and I build my whole schedule around your dog's needs. Whether it's a quick potty break or a longer adventure, I'll make sure your pup gets the exercise and attention they need. I always care for pets in the client's home. About: I have about a year of hands-on experience caring for my brother’s dog, Arlo, an unneutered Goldendoodle. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, playtime, keeping him company, and making sure he gets plenty of attention and exercise. I especially enjoy dog walks and am comfortable with longer walks, keeping dogs engaged with plenty of sniffing and exploring, while also making sure they’re safe and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’d love to give your pup the same care and attention I give Arlo! I work full-time from home, typically from 8 AM to 4 PM. Since my work is primarily technical and involves a lot of independent programming, my schedule isn’t filled with back-to-back meetings. This gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day to take breaks and give dogs the attention they need. I’m able to take dogs out for multiple walks, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. Working from home also means I can keep an eye on them and make sure they’re comfortable, happy, and well cared for while I’m working. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I have experience caring for my brother’s unneutered Goldendoodle, and I’m comfortable caring for unneutered dogs and puppies as well. For boarding, I keep a close eye on the dogs throughout the day, make sure they get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, and give them time to relax when they need it. I’m careful about keeping doors and gates secure and making sure dogs are always supervised, especially when they’re outside or around other dogs. I also like to follow each dog’s normal routine as much as possible, including their feeding, walking, and sleeping schedule. My goal is for both the dog and their owner to feel comfortable and confident while they’re in my care.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
