About: I've been caring for dogs, mine and other people's, since I was about 12. I have owned 2 wonderful Labs and have cared for everything from Chihuahuas to Dobermans. I have experience dealing with behavioral issues and teaching puppies their manners, and everything in between. I have a calm, assertive training style, but I know the importance of a nice fetch and cuddle too! I am happy to adapt to any special needs or medical issues your dog might have, and can administer whatever medication they need. I'd love to meet your pup and go for a nice walk! My schedule is very flexible! I'm new to NH so I'm looking to add some new dog friends to my life. With a couple days notice I can accommodate most requests! Safety is the #1 priority for both me and your pets. Caring for pets on their home turf helps to keep them comfortable and secure. On walks in the neighborhood I focus on leash manners and getting your dog's brain to work so they're ready for a nap when we're done.
“Alexandria is a very kind young lady with an obvious kindness animals. We appreciated her responding back in a timely manner. We would certainly use her again for our pets.”

“I had to go out of town for a few days and needed a boarding kennel for my 70lb lab. My kennel that I have used previously closed down operations so I needed to find someplace new. I couldn't find any place I liked so I started searching online for someone to care for my dog at their home. That is how I discovered Rover. I found Charles on Rover and rather than keeping my dog at his home he offered to come stay at my home. Which for me was the best possible outcome. It worked out great. Charles was very respectful of my home and my dog liked him. If I have to board my dog again, Charles will be my first choice. I highly recommend him.”

“Grace was amazing! She communicated with us and sent pictures during our time away. Our dogs were very well cared for and were exhausted when we arrived home. Would 100% use Grace again! First Rover user and I couldn’t have been more impressed with everything!”

“Grace was everything we were looking for in a dog sitter! From my first meeting with her, I knew that our dog would be well cared for. She exceeded our expectations! I was able to enjoy my vacation because I was confident in Grace’s skills in meeting the needs of our senior dog. We will definitely reach out to her the next time we are looking for someone to pet-sit and would recommend her to anyone looking to use Rover's services!”

“Here’s a polished version: Harley and Izzy loved her from the moment they met her. She made my time away completely worry free, knowing they were in the best hands. They were both so well cared for, loved. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful for everything she did for them.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is more than just a job, it’s something I genuinely love. I am the owner of Mindsett Paws, my pet care business dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for dogs and cats. In addition to running my own pet care business, I have worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for the past year, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. This experience has taught me how to safely manage group play, recognize canine body language, administer medications when needed, and ensure pets are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, high-energy breeds, and dogs that may need a little extra patience and reassurance. Whether your pet loves adventures, playtime, snuggles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I tailor my care to their individual needs. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. My goal is to provide the same level of care, communication, and attention that I would want for my own pets. You can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. I am also a veteran, dependable, and detail-oriented, and I take great pride in creating a safe, loving environment for every pet in my care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As the owner of Mindsett Paws and someone who has worked professionally in dog daycare and boarding, caring for animals has become a regular part of my lifestyle, not just a side job. My schedule allows me flexibility throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I am an active person who enjoys spending time outdoors, so dogs in my care receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. At home, my family and I have friendly, well-socialized dogs of our own, so our days are already centered around pet care, routines, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for animals. Whether your pet is staying overnight, stopping by for daycare, or needs a drop-in visit, I work hard to maintain their normal routine and make them feel right at home. I also prioritize communication and provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident and connected while they’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or yours, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel relaxed and secure. In my home, pets are treated like family. I provide a clean, safe, and supervised environment with plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, enrichment, and affection. I carefully introduce dogs when appropriate, monitor interactions, and never leave pets unattended in situations that could compromise their safety. I follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, and any special care requirements provided by the owner. For drop-in visits and walks, I treat every client’s home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I ensure pets have fresh water, meals, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship while you’re away. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and well-being and will communicate any concerns immediately. As a pet care professional and dog daycare employee, I have experience recognizing canine body language, monitoring group interactions, and creating positive experiences for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is simple: to provide dependable, trustworthy care and make every pet feel comfortable, safe, and at home.
“Michelle and Ken were great. One of our cats is very high maintenance with feeding and medications, and they handled her wonderfully. They left our house in better shape than they found it, and they communicated with us frequently while we were away. Highly recommend!”

My love for dogs is a core part of what makes me who I am. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience providing overnight pet and house sitting for stays ranging from a week to 10 days at a time. I’ve also helped family and friends with basic dog training and behavior support. As a lifelong animal lover, I genuinely enjoy the companionship dogs bring and love keeping them active, engaged, and happy through walks, outdoor adventures, hikes, playtime, and plenty of affection. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. As a small business owner with a flexible schedule and a few part-time commitments, I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, cat care, feeding, and house sitting, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. While I occasionally need to step away for client appointments, I am typically gone for no more than 4–5 hours at a time and always make sure pets receive timely meals, potty breaks, exercise, and attention. I appreciate advance notice whenever possible so I can plan accordingly, though I may be able to accommodate same-day requests depending on availability. When caring for pets, I like to take time to get to know each animal and build trust at their own pace. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I try to follow their lead and create a calm, comfortable environment where they feel safe and secure. Depending on the pet’s needs and temperament, I provide enrichment through playtime, walks, outdoor time, and plenty of affection. Whether a pet is energetic and social or more reserved and independent, my goal is always the same: to ensure they feel cared for, content, and as comfortable as possible while their owner is away.

“Lani was great taking care of our two senior dogs that have special needs. One is blind, requires medications, and wound care; the other one can’t hear. Lani handled it all with ease and professionalism, communicated well, and the dogs seem very comfortable. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah was communicative, flexible and personable. Our dogs took to her immediately and Sarah was able to watch them at our B&B for an extended period of time. Sarah sent pictures, kept us informed throughout the evening and prepared the dogs for our return!”

“Liz did an amazing job with Gizmo. She entertained her and got her out for fresh air several times during her watch. I would have Liz watch Gizmo again if I’m ever in the area.”

“Morgan is GREAT!!! My dog Lena is old, uses pads...usually (I mean, it can be a timing thing)...and uses them often. Morgan was so kind to her - changing the pads lots, trying different foods out when she was picky..and letting me relax while away as I could see Lena was with someone kind. I'll totally use her again and for longer trips! :-) I definitely recommend her. She left everything super clean and organized by the way (BONUS!!). YAY MORGAN!!!”

About: My partner, April, and I have been caring for dogs our whole lives. We have experience working with different ages, breeds, temperaments, and varying levels of special needs care. We began our training journey when we rescued our two german Shepards and trained them as our service dogs. Our girls, Maya and Sadie, have grown so much in these past years! Watching the progress is very rewarding, so we want to extend that same reward to you, your pup, and your family. At this time, we offer dog walking, drop ins, overnight stays and boarding. At this time we don’t have openings for scheduling training sessions, but if there are behavioral concerns, please let us know and we can discuss how to support your pup. We understand everyone works different schedules. Our schedules are very flexible and we want to make sure your pet is able to be cared for without time restrictions. We offer morning, afternoon, and evening hours. We will treat your pup like our own. We will discuss what is most important to you in regards to ensuring the visit is safe in their environment. It is important to let us know of any medical or special need cares ahead of time so we can properly educate ourselves first. We will discuss any routines to be followed and review safety measures to follow.
“Jazmin was fantastic. She took great care of our house and made sure our two senior dogs were well cared for and loved for the week. We came home to happy dogs and a well-kept home. Highly recommend, and will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

About: My family has had pets my entire life, and I've grown up with dogs and cats, so the question of how many years of experience I have is difficult to answer. I have a lot of experience being around animals, but I obviously was not the primary caregiver for our pets during my childhood. I am very fond of animals (of course), and would love to get to know your furry friends and help them get out and about! I'm a student in college at UVM, so I am around to hang out with your pets in between and after my classes! Because of the way they are spaced out, I'm usually free midday or in the afternoon/evening. I put a lot of care into making sure your furry friends are happy and healthy while in my care. I keep a close eye on them, and stick mainly to quieter roads that I'm familiar with on walks.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 391 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Belmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Belmont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Belmont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belmont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belmont. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
