“Madigan was wonderful to work with! We were very nervous about getting a dog sitter for the first time and she made us feel completely comfortable with a meet and greet beforehand and proactive communication! Our dog loved her as well, and she wasn’t at all intimidated by his size and excitement!”

About: I've taken care of my family dog for 6 years, and I also was entrusted with my friends and family's dogs since I was 9. Currently, I am doing volunteer work and shadowing physicians as I am home for the summer from college. I am available majority of the week and weekends. I make sure to let our animals have their separate spaces for when they are in need of a rest. They also have fulltime access to food and water, and I have a fenced in yard with enough room to run around. In a client's home I will make sure your pet has food, water, and a clean place to go to the bathroom. I will ensure they are mentally stimulated with plenty of play time and cuddle time.

“Jeffrey was great with mtg cat who is always shy at first. Felix warmed up to him quickly. My cats food and treat schedule can be complicated but Jeffrey took care of everything and I did not worry at all while on vacation. I would definitely recommend jeffrey.”

“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

“Julie stepped in with only a couple days notice to take care of our cat. She provided an update with photo for each drop in, which we appreciated. Our cat seemed well taken care of when we returned!”
“Savannah did a great job caring for Sadie! She was on time , very communicative and a pleasure to have her watch Sadie - she was in great hands and I could tell from the daily photos that Sadie loved her. I would highly recommend Savannah!”

About: I have had my own pet dog for about 14 years now and in the past I've taken care of my friend's and family member's pets as favors. If I'm staying with your pet, your pet's routine will become my routine. Their busy time is my busy time caring for, playing with, and watching them. Your pet will be my number one priority! And their chill time is my me time (me with them) When taking your pet outside they will always be supervised. Be it on a leash or watching them in the yard. I understand that everyone has different rules, preferences, and routines, and I am willing to accommodate and adapt to anything for your pet

“Max checked on Jake for us on Christmas Day while we were gone for the day and again later in the week when we went out of town. Jake did great with him! Max was prompt and communicated often with us. He posted several pics of Jake playing in the yard and enjoying himself. I highly recommend Max! We’ll definitely use him again.”

“Constance was great - she came by beforehand to meet the animals and review all their medical care, then came exactly when she said she would, took care of our animals, and even spent some time socializing with them so they weren’t lonely for a couple days. Would 100% rebook!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beckett Ridge
We’ve used Cora three times now for our cats Dash and Daisy, and she is absolutely exceptional. Dash has a serious heart condition requiring three medications twice daily — not a simple task — and Cora handles it with total confidence and care. She spends a genuine 30 minutes each visit, giving them real attention, not just a quick check-in. She even noticed it was trash day and took care of it without being asked, and grabbed our newspaper too. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. We will 100% keep using Cora and recommend her without hesitation!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
