“Amazing dog walker! She is so considerate with my dog Koda and always so detailed oriented in her responses. I can always rely on her for any last minute needs for Koda, and to take the best care of Koda. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Tiffany was great! She took great care of our doggies. She took great status pictures of them for peace of mind while we were on vacation. Thank you for the service you provided!”

“Katie is a wonderful sitter, I’d give her 6 stars! Our dogs are our children and we felt very comfortable with Katie after the first day. They loved her and the treat gifts she left for them was the sweetest! Also a big thank you for keeping their supplies tidy and picking up after them!”

“Steffany was great! She checked in on my cat and dog for a week while I was out of town. She was open, communicative, trustworthy, friendly, and professional. I would trust her with my beloved pets if the need arises again.”

“Brooke too such great care of our cat, Yul! She was prompt, super easy to work with, and left us at ease. I would definitely recommend Brooke to anyone looking for pet care 😊”

“Our first experience with Rover and Lisa was excellent! We felt at ease knowing that our pups were getting good care and attention on each visit. We appreciated the photos and the “report card” as well. Highly recommend Lisa - she communicated with us and went the extra mile.”

About: I have raised all 3 of my dogs since they were puppies. They’re very active so I love to exercise with them and teach them all the skills! I think structure and routine are the best ways for them to learn, especially puppies! They’re practically babies! I treat all my dogs like they’re my kids. They truly are a part of my family! I go to college Monday-Friday 8am-12pm. I could walk or come do a check in any of those days after noon! If I’m house sitting I can do any day through the week, I just wouldn’t be home till 2-3 in the afternoon since sometimes I stay at school and study. I could always go back to your house to let them out to potty or play with them and then go back and study! I will always follow any rule you set. The routine you set would be followed to a T. I’m am reliable and very trustworthy. Like I said I treat my own dogs like my kids and I would do the same for yours!!
“Maddison did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats while we were out of town. She made sure that they got everything they needed but also provided them with plenty of enrichment time. She went above and beyond, bringing in our mail and picking up trash after an animal got into our trash bin. I would 100% book her again for future drop-in needs for our fur-babies.”

About: I've had dogs and cats in my life since I was born. I started helping with their care since I was a young child, including sitting with the family dog who was had siezures. More recently in the last 10 years, giving my, (since passed), elderly dog his eyedrops and pills. Dogs and cats are hilarous creatures that deserve love, patience, kindess and respect of their boundaries. Paw parents guidleines and rules for their furry family members will always be followed. I'm flexible with the animal care as I do not have a 9-5 and with working holidays. I keep my animals on a routine schedule and understand that animals need routine to thrive. I am happy to help you keep that routine for your household, as long as there is availability in the schedule. Whatever the rules and guidelines that are given by the paw parents for the care of their animals will be followed. If an animal is highly stressed, they are given the space they need or taken out of the enviroment that is stressing them, ( ex: a reactive dog seeing another dog and is starting to reach their threshold will be redirected or taken out of the enviroment.)
“Breelyn was very kind and responsive during her drop in visit for Maverick! I appreciate her help when I was caught up at work, she was super dependable and kept me informed about Maverick’s care! Definitely recommend her services!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life! My first pup that was actually mine was a Great Dane named Mazie. So I've definitely had experience with big dogs and am pretty comfortable with them. I've also owned pit bulls that ended up having puppies so I've been able to experience the complete dog journey from newborn to final bark. ( :( ) I do work full time but am able to do a drop-in during my lunch hour if needed. I'm also available most nights and weekends! I do work full time down town, but I get a one hour lunch break and can let your pet out or go on walks during that time! My evenings and weekends are generally free to help with pet care! I don’t have a fence, but I have a nice full yard and my dog Laney is super friendly and will keep your pup company!
About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs (puppies, adults, seniors). I love taking care of them, walking them, and nurturing them. I love spending time with dogs. Teenage daughters also love caring for the dogs. We are available most every day and love ensuring that your dog(s) feel like family. We are able to ensure they have a safe and fun environment to play and relax. I have a fenced in backyard and 2 small dogs which are super friendly and laid back. Your dog will be loved and cared for. We will ensure they have a safe and comfortable place while they are with us.

“Meredith is wonderful and has been such a huge help to Jax and I! She is prompt, thorough and communicative every time she drops in to check on him and always makes sure he gets plenty of attention along with the basics I request of her. It's obvious she has a large capacity of care for the animals she provides case to and I don't think I could have made a better decision for a sitter. ❤️ ? Thank you, Meredith!”

“Amanda did a great job! She had fantastic communication and I would 10/10 recommend her. Hopefully the next time we need someone to check on our fur babies, she will be available!”

About: I had a dog and we had to put her down last summer. We had dogs as a kid. And I love taking care of my neighbors and friends dogs. I’m not ready for the full-time commitment of having a pet yet. But I’d love to offer our home and our services to our neighbors and communities pets and treat them like a member of our family while their families are away I am currently unemployed And have a big yard that’s fenced in. Lots of time to take care of your pup. I like to keep their lives as consistent to home as possible I’d love to care for your pet the way I would care for my own and like a member of the family :) lots of pets and outside time as desired
“Kellie is extremely flexible and reliable when it comes to caring for my two kitties. She goes the extra mile by taking the food cans and poo bags outside to the trash can so the house doesn’t smell when we return home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Battlefield
Evie did great checking in on our animals while we were out of town. Our dogs have big personalities and this was our first time using Rover so we were a little nervous. Evie came to meet them first and seemed completely calm and comfortable from meet and greet to last visit. She even cleaned up messes they made. We are very happy with the service we got!

Olivia watched over our fur baby with the utmost care and diligence! Her reports were thorough, and her communication was spectacular. This was the longest my husband and I had left our cat, and we were nervous about it. Olivia put our minds to ease because of her open communication and frequent updates. We knew our boy was getting the best care possible, so we could truly relax and enjoy our trip. She truly went above and beyond, not just keeping our cat happy and healthy, but Olivia also took care of our home and kept it tidy and clean. I cannot recommend her enough! She truly cares about the pets she watches, and she is just a genuinely kind and dedicated person. You will not be disappointed by booking with her!
Ashton always goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of our puppy, Rango. Rango is mischievous and still learning, and having a puppy takes a ton of patience something Ashton has in abundance. He always cleans up any accidents, plays with Rango to make sure he’s tired out while we’re at work, and consistently uses positive reinforcement so Rango doesn’t form bad habits. He is always on time and always communicates super well. It’s clear he genuinely cares and puts in extra effort every single visit. We couldn’t ask for a better caretaker. We appreciate you and highly recommend Ashton!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
