Michael was great with our kids. We had a drop in scheduled and he not only did that but went above and beyond by washing the dishes and more importantly cleaning after the mishap either both or one did. We highly appreciated it. We will definitely ask for his help in the future.

Mid-Morning/Afternoon (Variable): This is often when I schedule client visits or depending on the day, this might involve: running errands Boarding Care: For dogs staying with me, this includes regular potty breaks, supervised playtime in my yard (often integrated with my own dogs if appropriate and safe), and individual attention. Evening (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM): This mirrors the morning routine for my own pets: Feeding: Dinner time for everyone. Potty Breaks: Evening elimination walks. Relaxation/Affection Time: Cuddling on the couch, gentle petting or quiet playtime. Preparing for the Night: Ensuring fresh water and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Lynn's great! She did drop-in visits with our "super senior" kitty Bella for several days, and was very communicative, detail-oriented and attentive. Bella's not the easiest customer, and she requires a bit of daily medication; Lynn was patient (and successful!) with giving our girl her meds. We look forward to working with Lynn again!

About: Hello! Aside from growing up around dogs all my life, (a pug and rotties!) I also worked at two animal hospitals as a kennel attendant. Kennel attendants are responsible for taking care of your dogs & cats while you're away! Working in an animal hospital also helped me recognize behaviors that dogs/cats show when they are sick or injured, which helped me be prepared to know when to seek medical assistance. I am also experienced with all personalities of dogs/cats: the anxious, playful, silly, aggressive and pets with attachment anxiety! I am confident with my experience working in hospitals and also hanging around dogs and cats daily that your pets will be safe and happy with me. I treat them as if they are my own! I do work part-time, but my schedule is flexible! Currently, I am off Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. As I gain more clients I would like to have less hours at my current job and be able to pick up more hours pet-sitting! I understand that routine is super important for most animals, (feeding times, going potty, playtime and bedtime) so I always try to keep consistent with what they are used to.

About: We have owned, rescued, and fostered many fur babies, including seniors and those that have medical needs and hospice care. Fur babies are unconditional love! I am retired and have a lot of time for fur babies. Taking care of fur babies are what keeps me active and, on the go. I have a fenced yard and three smaller dogs that love to play and cuddle. About: I have grown up my whole life with two dogs at a time. I have years of experience with small-large dogs. I understand the love, care, and needs of your pet. I am involved in a pet therapy research study with my full-time job. Dogs are the best! Two days a week I have flexibility throughout the day, and I am mostly available on the weekends for drop-ins. I would love to fill this time by caring for your pet, whether it be letting them out, taking them for a walk, feeding them, playing with them, giving them treats, and/or administering medications if needed. I will treat your pet as my own. I hope to brighten their day just as they brighten mine. It can be hard when life gets busy, or the workdays are long, and I hope to give you peace of mind knowing that your pet is well taken care of when you can't be there.

About: I have loved and taken care of pets all of my life. Currently, I have a 7 year old pit mix named Hoagie. I am willing to do pretty much anything to keep a pet happy and healthy! My own pets are spoiled rotten. My family has fostered and rescued all sorts of animals ranging from puppies to squirrels and even deer. Growing up I had goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese, turtles and fish along with cats and dogs. I am comfortable with any age or size dog and any sort of other animal there is. I also worked at Petsmart for some time and was trained in pet care and safety. My entire life I have had dogs and all sorts of other pets and there’s nothing that makes me happier than making their little tails wag. I am currently working full time out of the Quakertown area. Mon-Fri I typically work 8-5pm. Sat & Sun are open. I am available for drop ins and walks any day before or after those times. On my off days, I am available any time. Keeping a close eye on your pet while you’re away is of the up most importance. If your pet needs crating, training or just to get some energy out, I want to make sure it’s in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Barto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
