About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.

About: I am an organized and observant pet caretaker, at home I have two happy black cats and a thriving freshwater african dwarf frog tank. I'm experienced in administering medicine to cats, and enjoy working with fish and birds too! I work full time in Montpelier, and would prefer to recieve requests 1-2 weeks in advance to provide the best care possible. I'm currently available for morning and evening drop in visits. I have two indoor catsand believe a happy cat is key to a home. My litter box philosophy is the more the better, and I will scoop 1-2 times a day and clean the surrounding area.

About: I have never met an animal I did not love. My mom likes to say that I’ve always loved animals. She remembers me trying to jump out of her arms, before I could even walk, in order to pet a nearby dog. I am a 32 years old and originally from Minnesota. I grew up taking care of a miniature schnauzer named Oreo, who was a wonderful family companion. I had a pet ferret for 6 years named Swarley, who I alone cared for. I have cared for friends and previous roommate’s dogs, fish, cats, rabbits, and rats. I’ve also cared for all kinds of reptiles and amphibians when working at nature centers for 3 years. I have also cared for a neighbors goats and am comfortable around farm animals. I now have a super sweet 8 year old rescue dog named Primrose. If I am lucky enough to get to care for your pet, I will give all of my attention to them and provide the very best care possible. I hope to hear from you soon! I can work around your schedule. I am careful to make sure sneaky pets are unable to escape when I come in and out of doors. I always put a leash and collar on any pet before taking them outdoors. I'm used to and meticulous about keeping medications and food out of reach for pets. I am highly engaged with the pets I am watching and observe for any small signs of stress or health issues. I would call you immediately if I noticed something was wrong or off with your pet and I am totally willing to call your veterinarian or take them to an emergency veterinarian, if ever necessary. I can administer medications and make special diets, if requested.

About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I would love to do some dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting. I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours. My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. When my cat was alive he had his own separate space away from the dogs as well as easier access to food, water and litter as he was arthritic.

About: I’m passionate about dogs with behavioral quirks and pets with other complex needs. I’ll take the time to get to know your animal individually and provide the support they need to feel comfortable and safe with me. I am skilled at reading dog body language and will respect their boundaries and communication. I am also comfortable caring for exotic animals such as rodents, rabbits, reptiles, fish, and birds. I have experience giving medication (orally via syringe) to small animals. I have a flexible schedule on weekdays and can generally stop by for a couple visits during the day, depending on what works best for you and your pet’s schedule. My availability is wide open on weekends so feel free to shoot me a message! I have experience working with reactive and fearful dogs, and am careful to avoid pushing boundaries, particularly if an animal is uncomfortable with strangers. Reading each individual’s body language and respecting their communication is key to ensuring a safe and comfortable visit. I’m very detail oriented and will follow your instructions to the letter, and will be sure to reach out with any clarifying questions. Animal behavior is a passion of mine, and I am comfortable accommodating for any specific needs or behavioral quirks they might have.

About: I have been working with animals for the last ten years. Started working in dog daycares and moved my way up to vet medicine where i now am a vet technician. I am patient and understanding to all pets personalities and ages. I am currently working 3 days a week on a specialty service at a veterinary hospital. My weekends are typically free and I would love to fill the time with your furry loved ones. Will be very respectful of your home and make giving your sweet boy or girl my devoted attention. Back yard fence in play is great but leash walks are also great!

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was about 11 years old — it started with neighbors, family friends, and anyone who needed a hand, and it quickly became something I truly love. Being around dogs has always come naturally to me. I’m patient, calm, playful, and super intuitive with animals, especially dogs of all kinds. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and I make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while their people are away. Over the years, I’ve built real trust with the people I’ve worked with. They know their dogs are in good hands with me — whether it’s for a quick walk or a whole weekend. I’ve looked after energetic puppies, shy rescues, older dogs needing meds, and everything in between. This isn’t just something I do — it’s something I genuinely care about. I currently go to barber school from 8:30-5 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you need a little check in or letting your dog out after that on those days I would definitely do that! Other than that I am open 6-11pm on every other day unless I have something else going on. If you ever need to know just always reach out if needed! I live in an apartment complex but I usually let me dogs free inside and if they need it I usually bring them to the dog park to get all that playfulness out. I am very attentive so your dog will never be left alone! I have 2 dogs medium size and one likes to relax while the other loves to play but she knows her limits, if the other dog does not like it she does stop.

About: I promise to keep your fur baby safe and happy as can be while you're away. I will provide playtime, walks, cuddles and a lot of attention. I am very interactive and not afraid to be goofy in order to make a genuine connection with your pet. Don't be afraid to leave me detailed instructions- I get it and have fur and feathered babies of my own! I am able to walk up to 2 to 3 big dogs at a time and feel confident in my abilities to give commands and appropriate rewards/disciplines. If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. I make genuine connections with animals (wild ones, too) and would love to give them the opportunity to get outside all season long (even in the winter).
