I was terrified to leave my 5 year old Frenchie with anyone while I went on a family cruise because he had just been prescribed daily meditation for severe back pain. She even went the extra mile to get him more fresh food because I accidentally didn’t pack enough (the joys of packing an entire family for a cruise will sometimes make you forget about the family pets needs😩😂). When my Frenchie was leaving her home, he turned around a dozen times (in his own way of saying goodbye) and even watched her home from the car window as we drove way— which was a sign that he was loved and cared for enough to feel sad to leave them.
