“Nicole was awesome! Both of our pets are strictly outdoors and independent with the entire yard for themselves (and the neighbor's too, for the cat). so we needed someone who could come out to our place rather than boarding, which would be too traumatic and, really, impossible for our pets. Nicole left daily report cards with pictures that kept us in touch with how well (or not) they were doing. It was good to see how our very reserved and protective Pit Bull/Sharpei went from "barking and growling" at her on the first day for being a stranger, to playing fetch and posing for pictures by, like, day three. And my very shy and cautious cat actually let Nicole pet her (with pictures to prove it, too!). Would definitely re-book with Nicole again!”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets since a young age, including raising guide dog puppies with my family. I’ve since owned dogs, cats, rodents, lizards, frogs, spiders, and fish so I can tackle many needs. I’m well-versed in basic pet first aid and dietary needs (having worked at a specialty pet shop that made its own healthy gourmet pet treats for several years). My own dogs have included a registered and trained therapy dog as well as my current rescue dog who I’ve trained through his struggles with anxiety and reactivity. He and I love outdoor adventures and being active! I’ve fostered over 20 dogs and cats through shelters of all shapes, sizes, and ages and can’t get enough. I’d love to get to know your pet and all their unique quirks! I’m a teacher, so my schedule is wide open during the summers and school holidays. During the school year, I’m free after 3PM weekdays and anytime on the weekends. I’m very conscious of pet health and wellbeing. I’m selective about the food and treats I give my dog and willing to adapt to the needs and expectations of other pet parents who know their pets best! I stick to a regular routine of walks and other outings with plenty of enrichment in between. My own pets get medication and supplements as well as nutritious food toppers with every meal and I’ll gladly do the same for yours.

My parter is home most days of the week and lives the company too. I work full time, and am in the military but have lots of free time after 4 pm each day and am free most weekends. My partner is home most of each day and she loves company. I am also not opposed to dropping in on holidays. I usually do drop in visits and walks, but I am also willing to do over night care if there is advanced coordination and communication.

About: We both love cats and dogs, and we have two cats and a dog that we adopted from the Humane Society. Hiro volunteers at the Humane Society, providing cat enrichment, as well as at a cat rescue organization in town. Chisako also volunteers at the Humane Society, taking numerous dogs out for walks, as well as taking part in their Ilio Explorer program, where she takes out dogs for a day on a little field trip, helping to promote adoption.
