About: I have had family pets for my whole life. Dogs and cats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. I worked at a horse barn for over 2 years. My cat had passed away over a year ago from liver cancer. I am used to incorporating medicine in food, pills or even a syringe directing in the mouth. I am currently unemployed so I have plenty of time for daily care including walks, sitting or feedings.I am also available for weekly routines as well. I love to look at notes/routines provided from the client and follow accordingly. I love to send update pictures/videos to keep updated on their pets daily as I do my best for their pets to have the best time. I do not take risks as the wellbeing of pets are paramount.

About: I’m new to the area but not new to pet sitting. I had a successful pet sitting business in Savannah, Ga for over 12 years. I have over 30+ years experience with pets from both big to small: dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, parrots, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish. I have experience with all pet stages and I’m comfortable with taking care from puppies to elderly pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom but both kids are now in school and my husband is a disabled veteran so he’s home to take care of them so I am fully available to be free to care for your fur babies. Staying in your home or doing drop ins, I’ll stick to your schedule on feedings and I prefer unless absolutely unavoidable to let the dogs out every 4hrs or so unless the dog prompts the need to go outside. If the dog is elderly or has a bladder issue or potty training I can let them out more frequently. The pet will receive love, affection, and we’ll play (varying on dogs needs or likes). Animals are like people, so understanding their personality and likes helps keep them comfortable and happy. Cat litter unless specified I change/clean daily. If you have houseplants I can water them or open blinds for them to get their necessary light, I will also bring in any packages and your mail if desired.

“Elizabeth was great! Very attentive and communicative throughout the stay. She came to spend some time and care for my cat just after we said goodbye to our other cat earlier that weekend. She was very empathetic and kind to our situation. I’ve had so many issues with finding quality care through rover, and it was such a relief to find someone who I can trust in. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Thanks, Elizabeth!”

“I was nervous and hesitant about using Rover. I had a meet and greet with Rachel and felt a lot more comfortable. I asked a lot of questions and Rachel did too, to make sure my pets would have everything they needed while I was away. She even sent me a reminder to leave notes on pet care. I came home to a nice candle for a wedding gift and a nice thank you note form Rachel. I will use her again in the future.”

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs and cats through pet sitting, two doggy daycares jobs, and Mayfair Veterinary Clinic, where I worked as a kennel attendant. I’m experienced with feeding, cleaning, monitoring behavior, and keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I’ve also cared for cats both professionally and in their homes and understand the importance of giving every pet attentive, dependable care. I currently have a flexible schedule and can work pet care into my daily routine. I’m comfortable with regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, check-ins, and overnight care. I’m happy to communicate with owners about their pet’s usual routine and make sure it stays consistent while they’re away :) I have a dog and cat of my own, so I’m used to maintaining daily routines and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. I’m attentive to their individual personalities and needs, and I love giving them plenty of playtime, attention, and affection. I’m also respectful of each pet’s space and their owner’s home, and I always make sure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: Since I was a child, I have been an animal nerd. My passion for animals is only matched by my deep devotion to caring for them and maximizing their welfare. I have greater than 20 years of experience taking care of animals. I have experience working in a dog kennel, and a humane society, as well as extensive experience doing in-home visits. While most of my experience is with dogs and cats, I have taken care of a variety of breeds, sizes and ages! I love to make an animal comfortable and slowly gain their trust through consistent action and patience. I have experience administering medications, trimming nails, and basic grooming. I work in the research field full-time during the week, but caring for pets fills my cup outside of work. I'm free weekends and after 5:00PM on weekdays. I love to spend time with animals. I care for pets outside of my home at this time due to limited space and apartment living. I prioritize your pet's safety by making sure they are secured and monitored carefully. I take pride in getting to know the pets I work with so that I can identify if something seems out of the norm for them. Confidentiality & privacy are important to me.

About: We will treat your dog(s) as our own. My friends tell me I have a special way of patting dogs and they (the dogs) seem to love it. They will get good belly rubs, behind-the-ear scratches and whatever love they need from both my husband and me. Our large fenced yard will entice your dog(s) to run and play as well as relax. We are comfortable looking after more than one dog at a time as we have a dog of our own. Just an FYI, Fiona, our 14.5 year old passed away in December 2023. We adopted Meeka in February 2024 who loves playing with other dogs and people. We also just adopted Simba in mid-April 2024. He is slowly getting socialized and loves playing with Meeka. They definitely keep each other company! Your dogs will also feel more comfortable in our house knowing that they are welcome and have familiar dog faces and smells here. I am also comfortable taking care of your dog(s) in your house to ensure your fur-children continue to stay in the comforts of their own homes. My husband and I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) soon. My husband and I do this together. We both work full-time at the office but I work 2 days from home. During the in-office days, we will let the dogs out when we wake up and after one of us get back home. The other two days and on weekends, they get let out every 2-3 hours or as and when they need to go. My husband helps me when he’s home and we go for daily walks in the evenings and weekends. We love patting and playing with them as that’s our routine with our own dogs so rest assured, we’ll make sure your dog gets loved too. Meet and greets are always preferred because we want to make sure you’re comfortable with our family and vice versa. If your dog(s) will be in our home, my husband will be helping out. Therefore, we want to make sure our pups play well with each other too. If you need a house sitter while you’re gone because it’s easier and better for your pets to be in the comforts of their own home, it’ll either be my husband or I. In this case, we want to make sure you’re comfortable with both of us. Boarding/Daycare: We have a fenced backyard and require all boarders to be crate-trained and come with a crate, especially for feeding time and if things get wild. For older dogs like when we had Fiona, she struggled to go up and down the deck stairs so I let her out in the front yard which isn’t fenced. However, I went with her and she was great at not taking off with me and my husband. Meeka and Simba are always leashed when they get let out in the front. If you’re worried about your dog being in the front yard, we will always use a leash. Otherwise, the backyard is more than sufficient if they’re okay with stairs. Home Sitting: We will do our best to stick with your routine with your dog. I do work full-time, 2 days from home and my husband goes to the office all 5 days. If your dog loves walks/car rides, we'd be happy to have them meet ours and they can walk together. If there are other animals in your home that's need to be card for, please let us know. I am an animal lover and will learn quickly to care for animals I’ve not taken care of before.

About: Hi, Im Michaela and welcome to my page! I have created a “hotel for dogs” in my home and have been doing this for over 5 years now! Before I began working for myself I worked at Waverly animal hospital for 2 years! I am highly trained and qualified to meet all your needs. I have been trained in giving medication as well as being able to handle timid/aggressive behavior. I also have been trained in introducing dogs to each other. I guarantee the best care for your pets, along with safety , fun , and all the love to give! A little about me: I’m a NEW mom to a wonderful baby boy who loves and enjoys your pets just as much as I do! I’m am very CAUTIOUS when it comes to letting my son near your pets. I do not allow any contact without direct supervision. I DO have help at my house during boardings so keeping my son separated from timid/aggressive pets WILL NOT and HAS NOT been an issue. I will attach a few photos of the interactions between my son and pets :) Pets love boarding at my house !! My house includes a LARGE partially fenced in yard (currently being redone) along with a giant cleaned spacious garage, and a big basement all used for playtimes! My house is open for free roaming . I do have two medium sized kennels and one large kennel ONLY used when double boarding and separate play times are needed! I provide the same care with in home sittings as well . Walks, playtimes, TREATS, and LOTS OF LOVEEEE! I PROVIDE BARKBOX TOYS AND TREATS , let me know if there are any allergy concerns! There is round clock care, 24 hour play and love time. There are two other adults who help out during double bookings. 420 friendly household Thanks again for choosing MY home for your SERVICE :) Pet care fits directly into my routine. I work from home so your pet will always be Safe and monitored from the comfort of my home ! I have two other adults that stay with me during boardings when needed, your pet will always be watched. Although my backyard is currently only partially fenced I do have extremely long dog chains that stretch all the way from one end to the other end of my large backyard. So if they must be on leash when outside , running around will not be a problem for them :)

When spending time with pets, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment based on their individual personality and energy level. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is happy and well cared for. FAQs for Pet Sitting - Bancroft

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Bancroft is $16 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $14 and $24 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 1,176 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Bancroft. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bancroft. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
