I had a great experience with Crystal. She did a great job with my older dog (who hates to take his meds) as well as my high-energy dog who loves all the attention.

Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of our elderly cat. She was always on time, communicated clearly and was very reliable. We appreciate the updates and pictures she sent during each visit, it gave us a peace of mind knowing Nikita was in such good hands. We highly recommend Carrie to anyone looking for a caring dependable pet sitter.

Your pet is in good hands with Stephanie! My dog loved seeing her for mid-day walks while I was at work. She also sends plenty of pictures and videos to keep you updated! She even brought over toys and treats that her own dogs didn't care for. I will continue to use her services whenever I need a walker I can trust!

About: Hi! I’m Keira, a 21 year old lifelong dog lover from Chattanooga (Soddy-Daisy/Lakesite area) who’s completely obsessed with giving dogs the best care possible! I only take one house-sitting booking at a time so I can give your home and your pets my complete love and attention. Your fur babies will be my whole world while you’re away — I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and very loved every single day! I had the privilege of caring for my soul dog Charley (a mini schnauzer) for almost 10 years. During that time I learned so much about loving and caring for dogs — including giving daily subcutaneous fluids when he needed them. Because of him, I’m especially gentle and patient with senior dogs, but I also adore puppies and their endless energy! I’m very loving, attentive, and flexible with scheduling. Whether you need daily walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your fur baby will get lots of cuddles, playtime, and genuine affection while you’re away. I’d be honored to care for your dog (or cat! I’m very good with cats although I do have fewer years of experience with them!) Feel free to message me with any questions 💕 I’m currently between jobs so all of my focus is on animal care! I have a super open schedule so your furry friend will get so much attention and love!! I can’t offer care from my home, I live with too many people and would hate to stress out your pet, but I can come and stay in your home, whether it be overnight or drop-ins. I’m very good about feeding on time, watching the water bowl, giving frequent potty breaks, and taking a few walks throughout the day. I will also adhere to any special requests you may have for your pup!

About: Hi, I'm Brandy! When you're away, you deserve peace of mind knowing your pets are receiving the same love, attention, and care that they get from you. I've spent years caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior pets needing extra patience and support. My background includes working in a veterinary clinic, training in pet CPR, and caring for my own beloved animals through every stage of life. As a homesteader and animal lover, I'm also comfortable caring for chickens, small farm animals, cats, dogs, and other household pets. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, medication, companionship, or simply a reassuring presence while you're away, I'm committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. What you can expect from me: ✔ Dependable and trustworthy care ✔ Pet CPR trained ✔ Experience with senior pets and special needs pets ✔ Comfortable administering many routine medications ✔ Experience with chickens and small homestead animals ✔ Regular photo and video updates ✔ Plenty of love, attention, and playtime I understand that pets are family. When I care for your animals, I treat them as if they were my own—with patience, kindness, and respect. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry (or feathered!) family members. I look forward to becoming one of your pet's favorite people! Because I work from home, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to provide care throughout the day. This allows me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, medication administration, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I am available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Every animal is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs before care begins. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible to reduce stress and help them feel secure. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise requirements, and household rules. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, and overall well-being so that any concerns can be addressed promptly. As someone with veterinary clinic experience and pet CPR training, I understand the importance of safety and preparedness. I am experienced with pets of all ages, including puppies, senior pets, and those requiring extra patience or specialized care. I also have experience caring for cats, dogs, chickens, and small homestead animals. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship, I will provide attentive, loving care tailored to their individual needs. You can expect regular updates, photos, and communication so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing your pets are in caring and capable hands.

I do not double book. I offer my services in most areas in and around Hixon, TN. I look forward to meeting you and your pet (s), and providing the best care for your precious fur babies. I’m partially retired and am available most days and evenings. I’m unable to give the best care in I may provide this service in the future.

First time I’ve had someone on Rover come to my house but Kearsten was amazing!! We have a dog that has medical issues and also a cat with cancer. She was very helpful with them and knew exactly how to take care of them thanks to her vet background. She also brought some treats to help with giving our cat his medicine which was soo sweet! I cannot stress how much I recommend her!!

About: I’ve spent my entire life learning what it means to have a pet and how to treat all animals with compassion and care! In my house, pets are family and should be treated as such. My love of animals has led me to adopt a dog from the shelter, foster dogs, and open my home to any pets of family, roommates, and visiting friends. Now, after 20 years of numerous experiences with pets of various nature, I feel comfortable handling even the most energetic, difficult, and unique pets. Most of my experience is with handling dogs but I also have experience handling cats, rodents, fish, and amphibians. As for my experience with dogs, I have studied dog behavior for approximately 4 years and have handled nursing dogs, puppies, skittish dogs, aggressive dogs, and older dogs, large and small. My older dog is an adult chow mix who I have owned for over 5 years now and my younger pup I adopted into my pack recently once I started dating his dad. The younger pup is a gentle 3 year old black lab/pit mix. Both of my dogs love to have a house filled with other animals offering your companion play time and cuddles! Currently, I am only offering services in other’s homes, but hope to offer boarding in my home again soon. Please contact me with any pet walking, check in visits, and boarding inquires. I am currently on break until the beginning of next year as I am a graduate student getting my doctorate in physical therapy. Therefore, I am able to care for your dog most of the day outside of the time I’ll be spending with my pups at home and running errands. If you’d like another dog for your pup to play with I am happy to bring my pup along! I try to cater my care to the pup and owner’s needs. If you’re looking for your pup to get plenty of outdoor time, cuddle time, or play time, I’m happy to offer all these services and any other services which may be necessary for your companion. Ultimately, I want your furry friend to feel safe and comfortable until you are able to come home to care for them.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bakewell. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
