“Melody is a gem! I was very pleased with the updates and photos provided during our trip and felt so relieved to know my furbabies were in good hands. Will definitely use her services again when we go out of town!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals since age 5, from fish to horses, and have officially 7 years of trusted experience caring for family pets. As a teacher on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for drop-ins, walks, and quality time with your pets until school starts. As a cat mom of three, I provide a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and secure while you’re away.
“Kim is amazing! DJ warmed up to her immediately and even Binx (who can be a shy under the bed cat) decided she was her friend! Kim is ALWAYS responsive and willing to answer all questions for first time (over protective) helicopter pet parents! I highly recommend her and will be using her for all our upcoming adventures!!”

About: My first word was kitty. Not kidding! Since my very first word, animals of all kinds have always been a huge part of my life. I have either owned or cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, fish, birds, frogs, horses, goats, and…well, the list goes on. Not matter what four legged (or more or less legged!) friend you need care for, I’m your girl. I have experience caring for all ages (bottle-fed to seniors) all sizes, and many, many different needs. I am experienced in providing wound care and other medical needs, and I am comfortable with animals of all temperaments. My years of experience has taught one thing: ALL animals are unique, and each needs to be cared for individually. I look forward to learning the unique needs of your pet and caring for them accordingly! My work is freelance and gig based, so I often have large stretches of time open and my day to day routine is very flexible. I typically try to book Housesitting stays about a month in advance, but if I am available, I am happy to book last minute! Call it a cruel twist of fate, but my landlord doesn’t allow pets. So, I have TONS of love to share with yours! While I won’t be bringing any of your furry friends home with me, I am always willing to come to them and provide care in the space they are most familiar with and comfortable in. You pet has a routine, and it’s my goal to help make sure that routine is carried out whether you’re at work or out of the country. I prioritize your instructions while caring for your pet and their environment, and make sure to keep open communication with you so you can feel at ease while away.
“Carolyn was wonderful. She kept us updated constantly over what she and Harper were doing. She sent pictures, etc. I'm so thankful that we were able to schedule her last minute and we will definitely be using her again.”

“Was so thorough and such a great communicator!! Adriana updated me with every drop by with simple and effective communication so that I felt completely confident she was caring for our pets! I appreciated her punctuality stopping by right when she said she would each day! We were very impressed, thank you!!”

About: As a proud dog mom and dedicated pet sitter, I know how much your pets mean to you. They are a part of the family, and I believe they deserve to feel loved and secure when you’re away. I'm happy to follow any request you may have from taking them on walks, snuggling on the couch, or provide special needs. I have years of experience and a true heart for all animals. I provide the attention your pets need to stay happy and healthy. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pets are in caring and responsible hands. I'm happy to provide as many updates as you need by sending photos and videos each day. I have total control of my work schedule each week. So, I will be able to take off work to focus and stay with your pets. In my previous experience while dog walking and pet sitting, I always follow the requests of my clients. I'm happy to take their pets on long walks, go to the dog park, or simply stay home with them to give them bathroom breaks. I also clean out the litter box for cats however many times my clients have requested. I also make sure to tidy up and pick up toys around the house and take the trash out before you come home.
“I hired Paige to care for my cat while I was away for a few days and I couldn't be happier with the experience. She was incredibly friendly, communicated clearly and consistently, and followed all instructions perfectly. My cat was well cared for and happy when I returned. I would absolutely recommend Paige to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter!”

“She was wonderful! I accidentally locked the door with the safety lock and she was able to get through the back gate which wasn’t easy! She was reassuring that they would be cared for and it all worked out because of her willingness to find another way in after some instruction on how to do it.”

“LaDonna and Chris were awesome. We had some household things come up and they volunteered to stay at the house when the repair was being done. They spent lots of sweet time with our kitty and she was well cared for. They took out the trash and made sure our house was secure. They went above and beyond what was asked for.”

About: I've always had a connection with animals. I know how to give medications as needed. I've always been asked to pet sit since I was 10. I used to own my pet sitting business but life happened and COVID happened so I had to go back to work full-time. I have been wanting to pick back up pet sitting because it made me happy. I, now, do side gigs and am free most of the time. I do have my own animals so I'd like to be able to have some time with them if I stay at your place. I will follow whatever instructions you leave me. Plus, help them feel loved while you're away. There will be no worry because they will be in good care.
About: I have had pets my whole life! I worked at a local vet clinic for over 8 years before becoming an RN. I am experienced in giving meds, caring for senior pets, snuggles, and love! I will love your pet as my own! I am currently a stay at home/homeschool mom. We are home for the majority of most days. We love to be outside, go on walks, and spoil pets! I have an 8 foot privacy fence around my large back yard. I am mom to a playful and very friendly golden retriever and a 13 year old diva cat who mostly sleeps all day. I am available for overnight care at your home or drop-in visits.
About: I've taken care of all sorts of dogs of many different sizes. From puppy's to senior dogs they're all no problem. I've also given medications to dogs to. I'm currently available to look after your pets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at anytime. I would like a day in advance so I have time to prepare. I have three cats and a dog. One of my cats is in her senior years so she requires special foods. I like to keep my animals environments very clean and stress free for them. I have no problem with giving medications to any animal. I don't mind what size or how old the animal is I think they all deserve great care.
“Christina loved our dogs and gave them the attention they needed while we were away. We would trust her to watch our furry babies again. I loved receiving pics and knew they were being taken care of.”

About: I have grown up with pets all my life and have worked as a doggy daycare attendant. I recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science and have experience handing animals from ferrets to cows. I have experience with all kinds of dogs: big, small, old, young, etc. and I have also done a lot of neighborhood pet sitting. Caring for animals is my passion so you can truly trust that you are putting your pet in the hands of someone who genuinely cares and has good experience with them. I am a full time student at Tarleton State University and most days, I only have one to two classes in the morning. I have two ferrets, but they aren’t on a specific schedule meaning that I have a lot of availability. I love spending time with animals in whatever ways that they prefer whether that is playing, cuddling, or neither :) I am happy to spend time with your pets outside of the necessary care they need.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 412 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Georgetown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Georgetown. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
