About: Since I was a kid I have been surrounded by animals: cats, dogs, parrots, turtles, hamsters… I have lots of experience with many animals and find joy in caring for them. I moved to DC recently and I truly miss having pets. I’m hoping Rover will help me to spend some time with little cuties. Moreover, I work remotely and I love to be outside, my schedule is flexible. About: I've taken care of several dogs of various personalities and ages, and I'm a former pet owner (of a cat) myself. I enjoy taking care of animals and making owners reassured that their pets are A-OK. I have taken a buyout offer (deferred resignation) from my federal agency, so I am not currently working and have a very flexible schedule that allows for pet-sitting. I live in a dog-friendly condominium community. My condo unit is up a single flight of stairs from the building entrance making it easy to hop out for walks around my community. There is a very popular dog park along a stream (Four Mile Run) within about a 10-minute walk. There is also a woodsy park with a walking/biking trail across the street. About: I am 29 years old and am currently on Paid Leave/Not Working full time, so I’m back on Rover for the time being! I was born and raised around pets of all kinds in my household. From Great Danes to German shepherds to miniature poodles, I’ve cared for many furry friends (even birds, snakes, and goats!). Growing up, I always had three dogs at once as well as cats. I have a lot of energy, so I am able to go on long walks or runs for any dog to get the daily exercise they need! A few times a week, I provide walks and meals for dogs of my friends’ who are required to work in an office and cannot make time to tend to these daily needs. As a kid, I was always the friend who would come over and play withy friend’s dogs as much as possible since we couldn’t have one due to allergies (my dad). We do allow our dog on the furniture (even though he never snuggles us), but can be flexible for whatever you prefer. We also have a doggy camera to keep a close eye on the pups when we aren’t there.

Miryam took great care of our dog, Koby! He is very shy with new people and she did a great job of making him feel safe with her. By the end of his time with her we could tell he felt comfortable, which was a huge relief for us! We already have her booked to care for Koby again.
Leila came to my rescue w/ my last minute request for doggy daycare today. She responded quickly and made my Zoe feel so welcome at drop off. Zoe did not want to leave when I picked her up, which is a first. Leila is a dog whisperer! Thank you for your kindness and the adorable photos. Immediately had peace of mind knowing Zoe was in great care w/ a loving sitter. My girl Zoe can be a bit high maintenance but Leila never made me feel like an inconvenience.
