“Linda is amazing!! My dog absolutely loves her. She is easy to get along with and is a hard worker. She is very trust worthy. I am making her my permanent person to watch my baby.”

“Aleyah really helped us out and very short notice. Meeko and I really appreciated her professionalism and timeliness. She will definitely be in the normal rotation of dog walker for our girl. Thank you!”

“English has been amazing since day 1. Such a beautiful spirit. English is very attentive and sure to meet whatever your fur babies needs are. She is very responsive should you have any questions and keeps you updated at all times. And has been super flexible. Izzy has found her a new best friend 🧡. I couldn't be happier”

“Aliyah did a nice job with walking my dog! I liked that she took and sent pictures of my dog while they went along their walk. She treated my dog nicely, followed my instructions, and returned him the same way that she received him. I’m appreciative!”

“Trina has been amazing with Nugget who is NOT a fan of walking. She has been resourceful to ensure he gets the most out of his walks. She is on time, communicative and provides a thorough report after each walk.”

About: I get along with animals pretty naturally. I do a lot of sitting for family and friends when they go on vacation. Giving love and care to your fur baby takes a lot of time and the DMV has a lot of traffic. It takes a village! I can pop in or stay over to make sure all physical and emotional needs are taken care of. I am a fitness instructor. My schedule changes and is flexible as long as I am given notice and clear instructions. I do not work full time. I do not have a fenced in yard, but can keep a crate. It is a townhouse so limited space, but plenty of parks and areas to walk your fur baby.

“We are so happy to have found Alexis for the weekend. She was very responsive and professional. She gave us peace of mind by keeping us updated with pictures of their walks. She was able to accommodate us last minute so we are thankful. My dogs seemed to have enjoyed being with her. Johnny and Lionel said thank you for the walks!!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
