“Madison did great with my cat and dog. She was very professional and friendly, and they both took to her right away when she came over for a pre-trip meet. She was also punctual and polite and always uploaded pictures when she came by for the feed/walk. I will definitely be a repeat customer of hers.”

About: I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own that I care for daily. I also care for my friends pets often and am excited to meet your pets and provide them the best care that they deserve. I am available all day on weekends and in the evenings every day. Some week days I am available more often. I am also available for overnights stays. I have a fenced in yard so would be able to have your pets in my home with no concern of them running off or anything like that. If I am caring for your pets in your home I will treat your home like my own, providing the best care.

About: (Please confirm the city or county you’re in- just to make sure you’re not too far away!) I have watched animals as long as I can remember! Almost 19 years now. I am flexible with hours and try to accommodate your schedule best I can. (I do work from home so will need working wifi) I do not mind staying in the home. I can pick up mail and water plants if needed. I do not mind the age of the animal. I love cats, birds and fishes too! Open to meeting new animals of all kind. I have my own transportation. Gentle Care, True Service. How can I help? I work from home so my work schedule is pretty flexible if I can work from the persons home. I only care for pets in their own home. I can play with the pet and take to parks if you prefer. I work from home so my work schedule is pretty flexible if I can work from the persons home. I only care for pets in their own home. About: I have been researching animals and animal care since I was able to read, I was always at the library as a kid! I worked as a dog trainer at PetSmart for two years (worked with the company for three years total!) and have met and worked with a variety of breeds. I volunteered at a dog shelter all throughout highschool as well. I have had many animals of my own and have even fostered orphaned kittens and puppies in the past! Working with animals gives me a purpose I cannot find anywhere else :) I work half remotely so I have plenty of open availability, let me know what works best with you! I'm always willing to make accommodations. When watching your pets at your home I would likely ask many questions regarding you/your pets routine so I can make things as comfortable for your pet as possible! I would never leave the pet unattended unless directed otherwise! I have experience handling large, strong breeds of dogs and have no doubt in my capabilities to keep your pet safe and comfortable.

“Briana was an excellent in home sitter! She kept us updated every day about our cat, Lilly. She also sent photos and videos daily of her. She gave her medicines twice a day and brushed her, which she loves and gave her lots of pets and attention. She is the best sitter we've had since we moved.”

About: I only work with cats and have had them all my life. I have experience with giving oral and topical medications. Most of my experience comes from my own cats and assisting loved ones with theirs. I own a cat with complex medical needs and multiple health conditions. I am familiar with navigating some asthma related illnesses, severe allergies, and hyperthyroidism in cats. I have always loved cats and would be happy to assist in the care yours need. I work full-time and am available from Monday-Friday 4:45pm or later. I am also off from work Saturday and Sunday and am flexible with the times on these days. I do drop ins for cats. I am comfortable giving most basic medication to any cat that may need this in addition to checking in on them and making sure they have adequate food/water.

Crystal was great and the cats loved her. My Suzie can be leary of new people but she liked her immediately. I would definitely recommend her.

Alannah is wonderful to work with. She took very good care of our girl, Lucy, before she passed away. And now, Alannah takes good care of our newest babies, Doc and Wyatt. Highly recommend her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
