About: We've been a foster family for the Dumb Friends League for over a decade. My children and I have loved caring for all the furry beasts, and their unique personalities, over the years. We have a fenced in backyard that backs onto a school, park, and walking trails. Ours is an active home with people constantly going in and out. There would almost always be extra people around happy to give your pet attention. I work from home, with small jobs and errands that take me out for only a few hours at a time. There is enough space if your pet needs a quiet space, that can be provided. We do own one unambitious lump of a cat that charms us with his squinty stares and warm cuddles. When other animals have been in the house, he keeps to my room. We've had hundreds of foster animals through the years, mostly kittens, puppies, their mommies as well as some rabbits and guinea pigs. Some have required more attention than others. We've administered meds, fed and cleaned plenty of messes, and spent hours just enjoying and playing with them.

About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, so I'm comfortable with any size or personality. Their safety is non-negotiable — when I was in the Peace Corps and realized the environment wasn't safe for the dog I'd adopted, I sent him back to the U.S. rather than risk it. That's the same care I bring to every walk and every stay. I run regularly, so your dog gets an actual walk, not a lap around the block — they'll come home tired and happy. I also have my own dog, so walks might come with a buddy, if you're up for it. Pet care isn't something I fit in around my day — it's already part of it. I have open availability across mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so your dog's walk or visit isn't squeezed into a narrow window between other commitments — it's a real priority, not an afterthought. I also have my own dog, so daily walks, feeding schedules, and reading a dog's mood or energy level are already habits, not extra tasks. Your dog's care gets the same consistency mine does. I show up on time and stick to your dog's usual routine — same leash, same route, same pace, unless you'd like something different. I watch their energy and body language throughout, not just for safety, but to actually read what they need that day. Before I go, I make sure water's out and everything's left the way I found it. I also send a quick photo or update after the walk, so you know exactly how it went.

About: I always have had a dog - since I was really young. I love all dogs and think they were put on earth to make us humans realize what love really is! ;-) I have two kids, 12 and 14 years old that have grown up with dogs and loves them all! I also have a 11 year old dog that loves dogs too named Walter! We also have a 13 year old rescue named Earl. We love dogs so much!! We will love your dog as much as you do!! UPDATE! We got a third dog to add to our home during COVID. He is such a joy and even though he is little - he acts like he is big! I am a stay at home mom that is home most of the time... I do have cats in my home, so I only accept dogs who are comfortable and safe around cats and are fully potty trained.
