“We took our two dogs to Alice for a day trip - we were headed to Lake Michigan, and wanted to be sure the dogs were well cared-for. Alice was very cordial and her instructions clear. The dogs seem happy and content, and I couldn't believe the report on the dogs I received by email! It was a wonderful thing to see that they were doing well. Nice touch! About: I have offered animal care services for 15 years. My experience includes daycare, medication administration, drop in visits, dog walks, and care for other animals such as cats, chickens, and other farm animals! I have little kids so services I offer require your dog be comfortable around kids, although their direct interaction will be limited. I have 2 dogs at my home. I currently work from home and have open availability. I am typically awake early, and can adjust my schedule around your needs with the exception of my kids bedtime routine :) I have a fenced in yard. I offer a crate if needed for eating or breaks. About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have a 12 year old Doberman, a 2 year old pitbull mix, 4 black cats, 2 donkeys, 6 chickens and a parakeet. In the recent past, I worked as a temporary Animal Care Technician at the Ingham County Animal Control which gave me experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and cats with different behaviors. I also learned a lot about giving medications and vaccines, animal enrichment, feeding guidelines and more. I am very interested in dog training so your dogs will get some free training as I am sure I will be practicing any new techniques I learn with my clients! Recently I opened a small dog daycare a mile down the road from my home. Any dog that stays with me will likely get to go down to play with other dogs during the day. BOARDING: Any dog I board must get along with my dogs. We will set up a free Meet and Greet at my home before the visit gets booked to make sure it will be a good fit. I have a large fenced in back yard but can also take your dog for daily walks if you prefer. We do also have 2 donkeys that share a fence line with our backyard area. They are used to dogs and have never broken through the fence. I always treat others pets as my own. I interact with them with patience, gentleness and love. I only use positive reinforcement. I am an active person and love to play ball and go for walks or slow jogs, but I also love to cuddle with any furry friends. Pets are family!
