“We had Andie house sit for us while we were out of town for a few days and I would highly recommend booking with her! She was very nice and easy to work with and our animals were well taken care of. The house was left in perfect shape and with happy animals!”

“Ashley did a great job watching our dog over the weekend. We have used her several times and always come home to a clean house and happy dog. She is reliable and sends updates. We already have her booked for our next vacation!”

About: Ever since I was a young child, I've been obsessed with animals. I've happily grown up with dogs and cats as the center of my world. I've pet sat for several neighbors during high school and since I've graduated. I'm reliable and can be trusted with your fur babies needs and care. I look forward to working with you. Dog-sitting is my main thing, so i'll be available to take care of your baby no matter the hours! Just contact me and we can discuss :) I can stay over for as long as needed, taking care of your babies and keeping them fed, well rested and exercised! If you have any specific routines your baby needs to follow day-by-day just tell me about them and i'll follow them!
About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for many years and currently care for my own dogs, bird, and aquariums every day. Friends and family have trusted me to help care for their pets while they’re away. My background in healthcare has taught me to be dependable, detail-oriented, and calm in unexpected situations. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I’ll treat your pet with the same patience, kindness, and attention that I give my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule and will keep my Rover calendar updated so it always reflects my availability. I make pet care a priority and enjoy spending quality time with animals through walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will follow your instructions and routines to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I know every pet is different because I’ve experienced that with my own dogs. One of my dogs has epilepsy and takes medication on a strict schedule, so I understand how important routines, careful observation, and clear communication are. I have a fenced backyard and will follow your pet’s feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions exactly as you ask. Whether your pet is young, senior, or has special needs, I’ll treat them with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I give my own pets. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away.
“Katie is a fabulous pet sitter and we have used her services for our dogs multiple times. She is very considerate and easy to work with and the best part is, that I can go away on a trip and feel peace that my dogs are in the hands of a professional, caring, responsible person. Highly recommend!”

“Kristi did a great job taking care of my fur children while I was out of town for the July 4th weekend! She sent daily updates and pictures and really seemed to care about their well-being. I definitely would recommend using her for all of your dog watching/walking needs!”
About: I have taken care of 2 dogs in my life. I know the basic’s, example , feeding, walking, and bathing. Wanting to spend my time to help all dog owners find someone they can trust while they are away. I’m working Full time currently but have time mostly in the evenings throughout the whole week. Giving time for your dog and providing love till you are ready to pick them up or drop off I have a fenced yard with neighbors fence near mine. They do have pets as well,Husky's, they are vocal and jumpy but I mostly supervise outside in case anything may happen. My home is near a dog park where they can have more space to roam and get all there energy out.

“Susan was great!! This was our first time going out of town and leaving our 8 month old puppy at home. I think our pup had the time of his life, she spoiled him! Lots of play time, treats, and snuggles. Susan sent me lots of pictures daily and kept us updated. We came home to a happy puppy and clean house. Perfect!”

“Erin was an exceptional dog sitter. We asked her to stay with our dogs throughout the day, leaving only at night, and she was consistently reliable and present every day. One of our dogs has significant anxiety, and it was clear she felt comfortable and at ease with Erin, which meant a great deal to us. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such capable and caring hands while we were away.”

“Elisa was the best! This was our first Rover experience, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. She was friendly, communicative, and took great care of Jax while we were away. We appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We would absolutely book with Elisa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Sandra was great with my two dogs. She went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of! I was a little nervous leaving them, but once I met Sandra I knew they would be in great hands. When I returned home, everything was perfect--dogs were happy and everything was cleaner than I left it. ? I highly recommend Sandra and will be using her again in the near future!”

“Sydney was a great house and dog sitter! Our pup really bonded with Sydney. We were gone for 2 weeks, but we had the peace of mind knowing Sydney was with him and her schedule could accommodate being with him during the days. We got updates with pics, which we loved, and our neighbors even said that they noticed how much time and care our dog was getting. Sydney also did a few extra things for us, like changing our bedding before returning from a late flight and putting our grocery delivery away. It made coming home so much easier! Overall, working with Sydney was a great experience and I'm looking forward to future bookings!”

“Jay went above and beyond caring for our pup while we were on vacation for a week. We’ve never left her in the care of someone that wasn’t friends or family before, but he made us feel so comfortable and our dog was so happy to be with him, which eased our minds greatly! I have previously worked at dog daycare/boarding facilities, on Wag!, on Rover and other pet care companies for the past decade, so I do have knowledge and high expectations when it comes to pet care and Jay exceeded them all. We have Furbo dog camera and it alerts me every time someone is in our home, our dog is playing, etc and he was always very timely and so very caring regarding our home and our dog. He also left the sweetest notes about what they did every morning and evening and sent us pictures of her every day. We will definitely look to Jay for every time we need someone to watch our dog moving forward! Thank you again so much!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost of House Sitting in Aubry is $56 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $33 and $60 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.
As of November 2026, there are 1,442 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aubry. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aubry walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aubry maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aubry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
