About: Hi! I’m Zinia, a stay-at-home mom living in North Liberty with my husband, Grant, a resident physician at UIHC, and our 2-year-old daughter, Zoe. We lost our sweet Yorkshire Terrier, Missy, to old age after 15 years together. She was such a big part of our family, and we really miss having a dog around! We’re not quite ready to get another dog of our own, but we’d love to have a furry friend to spoil every now and then. That’s really what brought me to Rover. We miss the company of a dog, and I thought this would be a nice way to have one around from time to time while helping out other dog owners. Zoe grew up with Missy and absolutely loves dogs. She’s a gentle little girl who loves to cuddle, read books, and watch movies with any dog willing to keep her company. She’s used to being around small dogs, but of course, I’ll always supervise their interactions. Your dog and Zoe will never be left alone together. Since I’m home with Zoe during the day, your pup will have plenty of company and attention. We like to spend our mornings outside, going for walks around the neighborhood or exploring the nearby trails and parks. We usually go for another walk in the evening, too. The rest of our day is pretty relaxed, with lots of time for playing, lounging around, and cuddling on the couch. Our yard isn’t fenced, so all potty breaks will be on a leash. I take dogs out every couple of hours and more often if they need it. We only take dogs from one family at a time, whether that’s one dog or a few from the same household. We’re really just doing this because we miss having a dog around, so we’d rather keep things small and enjoy spending time with the dogs we have staying with us. That way, each pup gets plenty of love and attention, just like Missy did. I am out of school and I'm home all day on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. I have a part-time job working as a dental assistant on Tues-Wed-Thurs, from 9am-2 pm. However, the hours are flexible as I can leave late or arrive early or not go if I'm busy and it is more of a learning experience for me. So I can be a little flexible, so shoot me a message and we can figure it out :) I live in an apartment, but make no mistake, we spend plenty of time outside! Throughout the day, I keep owners updated with photos, videos, and messages to provide peace of mind. We're fortunate to reside near a dog park, allowing for daily visits to keep our furry guests active and entertained. Exercise and playtime are essential parts of our routine, and I'm more than happy to ensure your dog gets ample opportunity to socialize and have a blast. In our home, we prioritize comfort and relaxation, so you won't find any crates here. Instead, your pup will have free reign to chill on the couch and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. If I need to step out briefly for a quick errand, I'll make sure to secure the bedroom doors and let them have full access to the living room. Generally, my pup gets some play time and exercise in the morning before work, during lunch, and then after work. During work hours, they hang with me in my office playing with toys, enjoying a chewy treat or just cuddling and napping while I work. I have a friendly dog who loves to play (he can be a little vocal - it's the terrier in him) and will be happy to give your fur baby some company. I allow my dog on the furniture and beds, but if you prefer not to, I am happy to adjust per your need. Let me know if your dogs need a specific routine or have play preferences. My main goal is to make sure their time with me is stress-free and they miss you as little as possible.

About: I always knew I had this nature since I was little, on taking care of animals. I always want to protect them and make sure they are well, because I love them very much and I get upset when an animal is not okay. Been taking care of animals since I was 5 years old. I currently do not have a full time job but I do have offers around and I want to experience with this app too. My availability depends if I have an interview or I have to do an orientation. I currently have to go to Chicago every week starting on the 16 but I can do weekends. I am very exited, can’t wait to meet all these animals :) My house it is pretty big, and is very safe, there is no kids around and we can always place something on the side for them to stay put into one place !
