“Jenny and her family were fantastic with our dog, giving periodic updates and sending pictures and video. Allowing us to be at ease while on vacation. This is a very loving home. Her and her husband (and others) took great care of our dog, giving him plenty of walks and attention and love. Big thanks to entire family. I recommend others to take her services.”

“Brineydi took great care of my dog Bella. We haven't used rover much in a long time, so this was a great relief. I was provided pictures and updates throughout her stay so I could see she was doing well which gave great peace of mind. 10/10 would book again”

“Cindy was very flexible with scheduling and allowing Duke to have a meet and greet prior to our scheduled boarding. Cindy also shared photos and videos during the stay.”

“David and Phyllis were wonderful in accommodating our unique situation and went above and beyond to make sure Cassie felt comfortable in their home. Communication was excellent—not only with us but also with our friend who had been caring for Cassie during the month. They kept us well informed and made sure we received updates on how Cassie was doing, which gave us great peace of mind. We truly appreciated their kindness, flexibility, and the loving care they gave Cassie.”

“Sarah and her family are THE BEST! Hopper has never been so excited to go somewhere. My pup has separation anxiety, so it’s a hard feat to get him comfortable somewhere. After his first time there he recognized their names and zoomed when I told him he was going back! Such peace of mind leaving your dog with someone who loves him.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Hali as a dog sitter. The communication was great from the beginning and was easy and reassuring. She took great care of Ruby and even watched her as a 5 month old puppy. She sent pictures and videos of Ruby enjoying her time outside in her fenced in yard. She responded quickly to my check ins and made me feel comfortable leaving her. Ruby was happy and calm when we picked her up and I would highly recommend Hali as your dog sitter. I will be using her again when I need a dog sitter.”

“Danielle was great! She was very attentive to our dog Dylan, who stayed with her and her two pups for three nights, and Dylan got along with her dogs--Gunner and Ruby--swimmingly. She gave him his meds on schedule and took him for walks. She also greeted us outside when we arrived and invited us in, which was much appreciated. Oh, and she sent multiple pictures Dylan each day. We will use Danielle again.”
“Think of it as more of a vacation for your dogs. They will be smothered with love and extremely well taken of. Hilary and her husband do a phenomenal job of caring for your animals, and making sure your mind is at ease. They sent plenty of pictures of my dogs while I was away and easily kept up with their feeding and medication schedule. We will definitely return.”

“Megan was extraordinary! She took care of my labradoodle while I was in New Jersey visiting my daughter. We had difficulty with the timing of our visit, but Megan was very accommodating and flexible. She was very welcoming and loving toward Loki, and we so appreciated the homey atmosphere that she and her whole family provided. She's such an ideal boarder that I only wish she lived in NC where we live!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 we’ve always been a dog family. Even now at the age I am we still have dogs we walk them, take them outside every couple hours and feed them twice a day I have a passion for animals. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I make time every day to feed pets, provide fresh water, take them on walks, play with them, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. Throughout the week, I keep a consistent schedule and can easily adjust my routine to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s extra walks, medication, or sticking to their normal feeding schedule. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In my home or a client’s home, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also keeping their environment clean and safe. I provide updates with photos and messages so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for during their time away.

I am very happy that my husband and I decided to leave our baby Thor with Danielle. We could tell by the numerous pictures she sent us, that Thor was well taken care of, and Really enjoyed being there. Especially since he found a new best bud in Danielle's dog. I would recommend Danielle to anyone who's looking to board their dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
