“Katrina was the best with my dog and cat. She kept me updated every visit and they seem comfortable with her. She fed them and kept the space clean for them! I would definitely book her again.”

“Kaitlyn is great! At our meet and greet, she did great work building trust with our shy young dog and turned her into a fan by the end of the visit (and she was instant besties with our senior dog). Kaitlyn’s taken care of them two times and the dogs are clearly both having a great time with her already. She gives great updates with pictures and has been so easy to communicate with. I highly recommend working with Kaitlyn!”

“Emily did a wonderful job watching our cat! We had a meet and greet a couple of days before our trip which was very helpful, and Emily sent photos and a lovely note every day. She was also extremely flexible and accommodating when we had to deal with an unexpected change of plans mid-trip, and made the schedule change as painless as possible. We would absolutely book Emily again!”

“Ardin did a great job with our big 100 lb. boy, Charlie, for 11 days, 3x a day drop in visits. The photos she included, with the activities they did (walks and soccer) showed a happy dog. Her texts really reassured us about how well it was going and we plan on rebooking with Ardin for a long family wedding this fall!”

About: I have been a lover and caretaker for animals since I was young. I foster puppy’s often and love it. Having the opportunity to train and prep them to find their forever homes is so special to me. From potty training, to obedience training and everything in between as a start to giving them their best lives! Through Fostering, I have learned how to connect with dogs on a different level. I would love to have the opportunity to walk, connect and take care of your animals as needed. I work part time and I have plenty of time to do drop ins or take your pups on a nice walk. Around the neighborhood or a few miles in the woods. What ever matches their energy. I treat every animal I care for like they are my own, keeping them safe and loved while they are in my care. ❤️ ❤️

“Matt is so friendly, and was great with helping take our dog out for potty breaks while we were traveling. He clearly loves animals, and they love him! Every picture he sent of our pup made that especially clear.”

“Colin, as always, goes with the flow and follows my sassy girls' lead, while still getting them fed. I'm glad they actually had a Khloe sighting - it is a testament to Colin's perseverance in coming to feed them, regardless of the welcome Colin gets. (My shepherd mix often won't make an appearance at all). Colin is a champ! My yard lights went out and the sun was already down before feeding time came. My Miss Madeline is black and can be skiddish - not an easy playtime in the dark. With a quick heads up, Colin was ready with a flashlight and for hanging out with Mads, despite the darkness. I know she appreciated the attention. They were happy girls when I got home. Many thanks to Colin :-)”

“Blaise did an awesome job with my dogs while I was out of town. They warmed up to him quickly, and he made sure they were taken care of which kept my mind at ease. Would definitely hire again :)”
“So glad we found Kari! She is reliable and trustworthy. She has come for several visits for my lab and my guinea pigs and she always sends great pics! I would recommend Kari for any household with pets!”

“Nicole went above and beyond caring for our five cats, even making it out during snowstorms. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our pets. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands.”

About: Owned and taken care of dogs and cats since I was young. Can’t remember a time without having pets! Currently own two crazy pups and two pretty kitties, and can’t wait to meet yours. Have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and everything in between. I am a full time firefighter/EMT, so I only work two 24hr shifts a week, and the rest of the time I get to play with yours, and my own animals! Love to hike or be outdoors with as many pets as possible! If they’re happy, I’m happy! I will follow all rules set for your pet, and be sure to keep their safety at the top of the list! As a pet owner, I can’t imagine something happening to my own animals, and I would never want to let anything happen to yours!
“Elizabeth was wonderful, kind, reliable, and very responsive. She was available on short notice, which was a huge help for us. She took great care of not only our cat, Nuggets, but also our 4 chickens! We felt completely at ease knowing our babies were in such good hands. We were so happy with her care that we have already hired her again for our next vacation. Highly recommend!”

About: I'm a lifelong dog and cat owner who treats every animal like family. I build strong bonds with dogs through communication, patience, and positive reinforcement. I enjoy basic training, teaching tricks, playing, walks, and giving dogs the attention and companionship they deserve. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I'm looking for side work taking care of people's pets along side my loveable Labrador. I'm available for walks, car rides, pet sitting and pet check-ins. I care for pets with patience, attention, and genuine affection. I follow each pet’s routine and the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and comfort level rather than treating every dog the same. Kaitlyn is so great with our dogs! You can tell from the photos that the dogs are both thrilled to be hanging out with her! She does an awesome job tiring out our young dog with fetch in the yard and giving our senior dog lots of loving and attention, too. Kaitlyn is so reliable and communicative - I highly recommend booking her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
