“Madison was great! This was the first time I had someone stay at my house and look after my dogs. She was great with my 4 dogs, even my scardy cat dogs! She was on time and quick to reply when I had questions. I would definitely recommend her and definitely use her again.”

“Carrie stayed with our dog, who has medical issues, for several days. Carrie send updates and pictures of Penny, which allowed us to enjoy our time away without worrying. We came home to a clean house and a happy dog!”

“Cristina was absolutely wonderful!!! Our dogs are like our children, and she took care of them while we were away as if they were her's too. She was extremely reliable and thorough. We were so excited to have been introduced to Cristina (she was a rec from a friend and neighbor), and look forward to booking her many times in the future!”

“Savanna responded promptly to my LAST MINUTE REQUEST for 9 hours of help with 2, maybe 3 dogs. She sent photos and reports through the afternoon and assured me she would still be there, even though I was going to be 30 minutes late getting home. My dogs, fostered for a Border Collie rescue, wanted to follow her out the door. I hope to continue asking for Savanna's help for future dog sitting needs.”

About: My name is Ashley. I currently work in healthcare and looking to make some extra money. I always had dogs growing up from extra small to extra large dog. I am a cat mom of 2! I also have experience with farm animals! I currently work full time in healthcare in Pittsboro NC. During the week I am unavailable unless it’s walking your pet after work. I get off around 5pm! I am free Friday afternoons and most weekends. I will treat your baby just like it’s my own pet. I love to get to know each pet and their personalities! I do not offer visits at my home due to restrictions.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12! I’m currently a Kennel Attendant working with lots of animals and taking care of them! I love any animals and treat them with love, care, and respect at all times. I can also administer medication. I am 18! Im currently working as a part time Kennel attendant for dogs! I have dogs at home, and I love caring for them and loving on them! Caring for animals in my clients home will come with lots of love, rule and routine following, let outs, feeding times, respect and care of animals and the home!
About: I've had animals in my house for over 20 years. Spanninng a cockatiel, a cat, five dogs and my clown fish who are going on 18 years old. Once, I drove the bird into the Tuft's vet school in a blizzard on a weekend night. Another time I took one of the clown fish into the Tufts satellite clinic on a Sunday because he hadn't eaten for days. Both pets lived to tell their tale. Cats are great, I love how they set the rules :) But dogs are where my heart is, especially Airedales, and rescue dogs are a labor of love! My priorities start with my pet family, unless I'm taking care of yours. Then, your pets become my priority. I work from home most of the time and that allows me to have the ultimate flexibility in my schedule so that I can care for your pets as appropriate, on their time. I've raised my dog training game significantly over the past few years, attending regular sessions with my trusted trainer, Baptiste. Our work has focused on highly reactive dogs and also puppy training. Like kids, pets can do no wrong. I do not get upset with them, I just clean the mess ;)
“We could not recommend Bri enough to anyone needing their pets looked after while away! Bri was not only able to accommodate our last minute request when our family had to go out of town, but she was incredible with our dogs! Between daily message and photo updates of the pups, we could not have asked for anything else to feel more comfortable leaving our dogs back home. We will happily be using her again in the future!!”

“William is absolutely amazing! We have 3 very high energy dogs with a very strict routine. William followed their routine without flaw and was more than just “watching them”. He sent photos upon arrival, throughout the stay, and before leaving. His communication was timely and clear. We will be booking with William again because he is someone we know we can trust with our pups and they enjoyed him. Even our very picky cat took to William right away!”

“She did really great watching our two rambunctious boys, we received many updates as it was our first trip without taking them. We would highly recommend her to watch anyone’s babies, and we are definitely going to be hiring her again. Thanks for all you did for Mason and Houdini Kiki.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have one of my own, I am great at being active with them and would love to dog sit or dog walk for you. I have plenty of references, and would love to watch your dog babies and treat them like my own for how every long you need. I currently work part time so I have lots of time to spend with your animals and can stay with them as much as they need! We have a big fenced in area for our dogs, and take them on car rides and to the dog park, they love being outside!
“Kiera is hands down the best dog sitter I’ve ever worked with. Kiera is thorough and attentive and showed so much care and affection for my greyhound. I so appreciated Kiera’s frequent updates and pictures— it was clear that my boy was having the best time! Kiera is gifted at her job, and I felt so comforted knowing that my fur son was in such wonderful and responsible care. Kiera is the best! I will absolutely be rebooking. Thank you so much!”

“Natallia was great with Duck! She was very communicative and made sure both Duck and I were comfortable when I had to leave! I will definitely work with Natallia in the future and highly recommend her!”

About: Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets for years, and I genuinely treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who is dependable, patient, and attentive, and that’s exactly the kind of care I strive to provide. As a nurse, I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, giving medications when needed, recognizing changes in behavior, and staying calm. I pay close attention to the little things because I know every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, or simply having someone keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also send plenty of updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in great hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! Schedule & Availability I’m currently available throughout the day on weekdays, making me a great option for morning, afternoon, or evening visits. Whether your cat needs a quick drop-in, feeding, playtime, medication, or extra companionship while you’re at work or traveling, I’m happy to accommodate your schedule whenever possible. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, litter box care, playtime, and any other preferences you have. I understand that every cat is different, and I’ll respect their personality…whether they enjoy lots of attention or prefer their own space.
“Jennifer took great care of my dog Chief pet sitting at my house. Everything went perfectly smooth and communication was perfect. Next time I travel I will try to book her.”

“Aneycia was wonderful with my pup, she’s patient and attentive, and kept me updated as needed. I was able to fully engage in the event I was attending because I was confident in Aneycia’s ability to care for my dog. I came back to a clean home and a happy dog. I highly recommend booking with her.”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 10 years old, and over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me with the special care of their beloved pets. For over a year, I worked in a lab-like setting providing daily care to a wide variety of exotic animals, including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and birds. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning, and general husbandry for each species. I also have experience caring for senior animals, including administering medication and performing nail trims, so I'm comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention and care. I currently work part-time and am finishing up my Associate's degree, which gives me a good amount of flexibility during the week to care for your fur babies. On days I work an 8-hour shift, there may be a slightly longer gap between potty breaks, but I always plan ahead and communicate clearly so you know exactly what to expect. Providing consistent, quality care for your animals is a top priority for me, no matter my schedule. When I care for your pets in their own environment, I bring nothing but comfort and love. I give excellent cuddles and scritches, and genuinely enjoy enriching their day with play. I know when to be calm and reassuring, and when to be playful and energetic, adapting to match each pet's unique personality. Every animal I care for receives quality, individualized attention tailored to exactly what they need. Above all, you can count on me to be reliable and consistent, every single time.

FAQs for House Sitting - Asbury
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,843 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Asbury. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Asbury walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Asbury maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Asbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
