“Taylor is the best. She is reliable, communicative and accommodating to your schedule. We have a 6 month old miniature schnauzer that she has been walking off and on for about 2.5 months now. I've had zero issues with having Taylor help me out while I am at work. She always provides an update on how the walk went, how Tucker was doing and making sure he gets some love and attention while I am away. I would recommend having Taylor's help to anyone thinking of using Rover. Thank you!”

“Annalia is wonderful! We are so happy we found her! She is attentive to detail and absolutely phenomenal with our large great Pyrenees mix. We plan to continue to book her for all future walks.”

“Hillary is the absolute best person I've ever used to walk lucy. She's responsible, funny and super caring. Definetly felt like I was texting with a friend the whole time she helped out. She communicates very well and everything she does is out of her heart for the love of the animal. I will definetly be using her again and you should too!. Lucy misses her already I'm sure.”

“Uli has been caring for our dogs for a long time and has gone through multiple puppy hoods and the geriatric days with our previous. She is consistent and reliable and loves our boys! We are so lucky to have her!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog and cat owner with experience caring for pets of all sizes, personalities, and needs—including blind and diabetic dogs. I’m also a proud cat mom to two of my own, and I truly love spending time with animals. I’m an active, outdoorsy person and am always happy to match your dog’s energy, whether that means going for a walk, playing in the yard, or getting out for a run. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I take the time to get to know what makes each one feel happy, safe, and comfortable. When you’re away, my goal is to give your pets the same love, attention, and care they receive at home. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for while you’re gone! I currently offer pet care availability during early mornings, lunchtime, and evenings on weekdays, with more flexible availability on weekends. I’m an active person who loves hiking, running, and rock climbing, so I’m happy to match your dog’s energy—whether that means walks, runs, or playtime. I’m also very comfortable with a range of pet personalities. I’m happy to cuddle affectionate pets or give shy cats the space they need to feel safe and comfortable. This makes me a great option for anyone needing reliable early morning or afternoon care, along with consistent, attentive support for their pets throughout the week. I will always follow any specific instructions regarding treats, care routines, brushing, walking, or play so your pet gets exactly what they need and are used to. I take communication seriously and am happy to share pictures and regular updates during my time with your pet so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. Your home will be treated with the same care and respect as my own, and I always aim to leave things even better than I found them.
About: I grew up on a family farm in Mamers, NC, where caring for animals has always been second nature. After moving back to the area from college, I now work from home, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care and a flexible schedule for the pets I watch. Before leaving for college, I pet sat for local families through Facebook and built lasting relationships with many of my clients. For one family in particular, I provided in-home care and became their trusted “dog nanny” for over three years. From daily visits and walks to overnight stays and personalized routines, I understand how important consistency and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. I visit my family farm daily to help maintain the property, giving dogs in my care the opportunity for supervised outdoor time, exercise, and plenty of enrichment. Whether your pet enjoys adventures or prefers cuddles and quiet time, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own. 🤍🐾🌾 Pet care is seamlessly built into my daily routine. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. I also visit my family farm daily, so dogs in my care can enjoy supervised outdoor time and extra exercise. Because I’m home most of the day, pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family, with lots of love, structure, and companionship. Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly condo community with access to a dog park, where I often take my own Doberman for supervised play and exercise. I enjoy starting the day with morning walks and make sure pets have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, enrichment, and attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine closely and always prioritize their safety, whether that means leashed walks, supervised outdoor time at my family farm, or a cozy, calm environment indoors. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, secure, and right at home while their family is away.
“Sarah is FANTASTIC!!! She is very responsive and flexible which is great for my nursing schedule. My dog fell in love with her right away! Her first night with Zeek they were snuggled up on the couch! Sarah sends great updates, and super cute photos. I have rebooked her so many times already!!!”

About: I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors for years, including high-energy dogs, shy rescues, and senior animals needing extra TLC. I’m patient, dependable, and happy to adapt to your pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether your pup loves cuddles, long walks, or just needs some TLC, I’ll treat them like family. Since I work from home and do school online, I have plenty of time to give your pup lots of love, care, walks, and attention I have a secure fenced yard and 5 friendly dogs of my own, so if your pup enjoys socializing, they’ll have playmates. If not, I can easily keep them separate and make sure they’re comfortable
About: I've had animals in my house for over 20 years. Spanninng a cockatiel, a cat, five dogs and my clown fish who are going on 18 years old. Once, I drove the bird into the Tuft's vet school in a blizzard on a weekend night. Another time I took one of the clown fish into the Tufts satellite clinic on a Sunday because he hadn't eaten for days. Both pets lived to tell their tale. Cats are great, I love how they set the rules :) But dogs are where my heart is, especially Airedales, and rescue dogs are a labor of love! My priorities start with my pet family, unless I'm taking care of yours. Then, your pets become my priority. I work from home most of the time and that allows me to have the ultimate flexibility in my schedule so that I can care for your pets as appropriate, on their time. I've raised my dog training game significantly over the past few years, attending regular sessions with my trusted trainer, Baptiste. Our work has focused on highly reactive dogs and also puppy training. Like kids, pets can do no wrong. I do not get upset with them, I just clean the mess ;)
About: I have previously worked as a zookeeper, a vet assistant, and am a AKC Certified dog trainer! Animals have always been my passion and I am well versed in handling techniques and general care/grooming. I am currently free every day so I will have plenty of time to make sure your animal(s) get the attention and care that are needed while you are away! Safety and trust is essential to making sure your animal is comfortable. A disruption of someone new can be scary, so I take the time to let your animal acclimate before doing anything.
About: Family and friends have relied on me to take care of their pets over the years. I have cared for different types of animals growing up, from hamsters, fish and birds to dogs and cats. I also live on a farm with cats and dogs of my own, as well as two alpacas! I’m currently working part-time, so I am available on weekends and after 3pm during week days to help look after your animals when you’re not able to. I can take care of a number of tasks to ensure your pets are properly cared for. A few of them being, feeding/watering, potty time, play time, walking, cleaning litter box, and any other requests of you and your pets.
About: Dogs and cats have been in my life since I was a toddler and over the last couple years, i’ve raised 2 litters of kittens on my own, and 1 litter of puppies. I’m gentle and caring when it comes to my dogs, and any other dogs or cats. Currently I have a part time job so usually I have a lot of spare time with my pets personally, but I would love to meet and take care of more dogs and cats. First off, I would like to build a relationship with your fur-babies to be able to build that trust with them. I have 2 adult dogs at home, and one playful puppy which would definitely help for socializing.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
