About: Aside from having pets since childhood, including farm animals, I also have professional experience. I started working at a kennel at age 22 with tasks such as bathing, walking, training and playtime supervision. I was in charge of 15 dogs at a time. I then moved on to vet care for 3 years learning animal health and behavior. I work from home and very available for pets needs and provide individual care as needed. I have a great understanding of pet behavior and react accordingly. My dogs get let out at least 4 times daily. All dogs in my home can free roam and only caged if requested by owner either nightly or while I'm out. The privacy fenced in yard provides a safe place to play.

“Jacob and Sarah do am AMAZING job with our little Stella. We have been bringing Stella to them for the past few weeks on and off. Whenever we drop her off, Stella is so excited to see Sarah and play. I feel very comfortable with them watching her. You can tell very easily see that they take good quality care for her. Highly recommend. We will be returning! Thank you.”

“Maria and her husband are wonderful! They have taken such amazing care of our pup!! She is always happy to see them. They are caring, flexible, and have great communication!”

“She was great! She was very understanding and helpful since Izzy is young and was not on her best behavior. She took her on walks and feed her lunch. Larissa was very attentive. I’ll definitely use her again if she’ll have us.”

“She really is the best Aunty to my baby girl!! I contacted her last minute to watch my dog and she immediately responded even tho it was super early in the morning when I needed to drop her off! She sent so many updates and pictures for me! I’ve already recommended her to sooo many people!!”

“My pup had an amazing day with Audree. Her tail was wagging when she left. It was so nice to see the pictures throughout the day and then see my pup’s face at pick up - confirming her enjoyment. She was comfortable enough to take a long nap on her first stay. That’s really telling me she was comfortable.”

“Tiffany was an absolute delight to book with!! From the very beginning, she was very prompt in her responses and answered any questions that I had. I am a newer dog mom, so she put me at ease due to her kindness and professionalism. She was very flexible with drop-off/pickup times, which I know can be tough for most. That was a huge plus! She also communicated throughout the day with updates and cute photos of my fur baby so I knew he was safe and well taken care of. If I could, I would give her 10/5 stars! I definitely plan to book with her again in the near future! Thanks again Tiffany!”

About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.
“⸻ Pedro had an amazing day with Yeny and Ray! He got plenty of playtime with his new furry friends, Charlie and Leo. When we got home, Pedro was happily tired and ready for bed. Yeny and Ray sent us photos and videos throughout the day, and communication was great. We’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Svetlana took great care of our 2 dogs on a last minute notice for the day. She is so kind, and good with the dogs. Her house is clean and tidy (1 of my dogs likes to chew everything), and she has a nice large fenced in yard for the dogs to run around in. I highly recommend her, and will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much!!”

“Zorra and Theodore were SOOOOOO happy with their stay with Jorge's family! We received several pictures. We appreciated how they made our dog care request work out with their busy schedule! Next time we travel to Stafford, we will definitely request Jorge's family.”

“Laurie was very good with my dog and very knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt that she provided very good care and that my dog was in good hands. Her fenced in backyard has plenty of shade and is great for breeds that like to be outside and roam. I recommend her for taking care of your dog.”

“I was so happy to find this sitter! We just adopted a rescue dog. He has a lot of anxiety. He needs special care while he is adjusting to his new home. Because of his anxiety he needs a low stimulation environment. She has been so good working with my dogs special needs! I can’t say enough good about her!! We are so grateful for the care she has given our dog!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Artillery Ridge
Tahliyah was great with my fur baby. She provided updates and photos during his stay. When he needed some extra attention, she was great with providing him just that and making him feel comfortable in a new environment. I would definitely recommend her for anyone’s need for dog services.

Susannah is amazing! She was able to accommodate my last minute booking. She fed my pup with her pup's food because I completely forgot to pack his. She walked, played and kept me updated on my puppy. Gus gets a wiggle butt when he sees Susannah and her pup. She's been so great to work with.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
