About: Hello, my name is Tori and I LOVE dogs! I have been caring for and working with dogs for over 10 years. I have experience with all breeds, sizes, ages, and even special behavioral and medical needs. As a dog owner myself, I know how difficult it is to put your trust in someone else to care for your fur baby. I vow to provide the highest care possible for your dog, and treat them as they are my own. I do have a full time job Monday through Friday, however, I am available before and after work, weekends, and holidays. I have a dog of my own, so I always ensure I have time to take care of animals! I vow to treat your dog as my own. They will receive quality and compassionate care. I follow instructions and ensure your fur baby is safe and cared for at all times.

I have pet sat for all kinds of dogs, cats and horses and look forward to caring for your animals! I've had experience caring for various aged animals and am comfortable with all kinds. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate early mornings, afternoons and evenings throughout the week. I look forward to working with you and meeting your pets! I am willing to accommodate your family's needs in your home. I consider pets family, and will care for them as you would to make them feel the most comfortable while you are away.
About: I have lived on a farm my whole life. At age 12 I started managing our family farm, which ment taking care of all of our animals, from the horses to the rabbits. There are two rules I keep for myself: 1) every animal has a purpose and a name. They are not just a number (which is important to remember on a farm) 2) They are fed and cared for before anything else. It doesn't matter what's going on they are my first thought when I wake up. I take care of them before I eat. I am currently a college student and working part time for the school. My times and avalibility will change when I resume school in September. Because I live on a farm, I am blessed that my cats can safely be indoor - outdoor cats. I do have a house cat, and I have two outdoor cats. For dogs, I am used to taking dogs on walks, and letting them into secure, fensed in yards.
“Dayton was great! We had a last minute trip and thankfully she was available and responded to our request quickly. Our dogs loved her and even our shy cat. She sent pictures and updates while we were gone and replied to our messages right away. We felt very comfortable leaving all our pets with her. She asked questions about their care and was very genuine and friendly. We would and hopefully will work with her again!”

About: Hi! I'm Reis, a dependable and active animal lover with both professional and personal pet care experience. I previously worked at a dog boarding facility where I supervised doggie daycare, monitored group play, and helped ensure dogs stayed safe, happy, and well cared for throughout the day. This experience taught me how to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels. In addition to my professional experience, I have provided overnight house-sitting and pet-sitting services, caring for pets in their own homes and maintaining their regular routines while their owners were away. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and secure, and I strive to provide attentive, loving care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. As someone with an active lifestyle, I enjoy spending time outdoors and can provide plenty of exercise, walks, playtime, and companionship. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a weekend sitter, or just some extra attention during the day, I'll treat them with the same care and respect I would give my own. I currently work a part-time job that allows me to have a lot of flexibility. I am able to work in all of Richmond and surrounding areas as well. When caring for pets in a client's home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Through my experience working at a dog daycare facility, overnight house-sitting, and caring for both a senior dog and a young dog of my own, I've learned that every pet has different needs and energy levels. Whether your pet prefers a relaxed walk and extra patience or lots of activity and play, I'll make sure they receive personalized care and feel safe, happy, and loved.
“Riley took excellent care of my 3 senior dogs, all 3 on meds, including 1 that is diabetic and needed blood glucose monitoring and insulin shots. I was thrilled to find someone with experience with diabetes. Thanks Riley!”
“Tiffany is my go to for Bruno every time I have to go anywhere. She is a life saver. She takes care of Bruno’s special needs and is very accommodating. Would recommend her 10/10.”

I treat pets just like family. they are family to me and deserve to be treated with passion and integrity. Their emotions are stronger than the average person.

“Rochelle absolutely exceeded all my expectations. I received so many lovely updates while I was away, and she communicated with me about everything. This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit uncertain, but it was such a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be working with Rochelle again, and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Helena was absolutely AMAZING!!! This was our first time using Rover and the first time we left our dog overnight. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the time we were gone, showing just how relaxed and happy our dog was in her care. When he whined about sleeping in his crate, she kindly let him share the bed with her (with our approval, of course!). He even seemed disappointed when we came home 😉. We cannot recommend Helena more highly!!”

About: Hello! 🐶 I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, including dogs, cats, fish, and even a pet shrimp! I’m not shy around medications, multiple animals, or high energy pets. I have extensive experience loving senior pets and those with special needs. I’m a daytime and overnight dog and cat sitter with almost 20 years experience caring for animals! 🐱 I am a graduate student, dog and cat mom, and enjoy lots of hobbies like gardening, reading, sourdough baking, and biking. I would love to spend my extra time hanging out with your pets! I treat my clients’ pets and homes as I do my own. I understand how intimidating it is to trust a stranger with their schedules, medications, anxieties, and even your own home while you’re away. I’m comfortable asking for clarification when needed and communicating to make sure your pets have what they need.
“Ada house sat my dog who was both diabetic and recovering from bronchitis which required shots and other medications twice a day. She not only cared for MMO’s medical needs but provided emotional support for him in my absence. She sent pictures and conducted a River video chat with me to ensure not only Momo’s emotional support but for mine as well. I felt confident my beloved pet was in good hands.”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals- birds, cats, dogs and more since I was small. I have a wide variety of pets and lots of space for your baby to feel welcome while youre away. In home care is also available- taking time to make your pet feel loved in their home is important while you're gone. I am a teacher and have nothing but time during the summer! During the school year I am available for early morning drop in and check ins after school as well as house sitting and overnights. I have a fenced in yard with 2 dogs of my own for company. Additonally, we live on 4 acres where we can take walks and play. Your kitty would be comfortable in our rancher 2 outdoor cats.
About: I have been blessed to grow up with a variety of animals in and around my home. I’ve had a variety of dogs that have ranged from 12lbs to 200lbs. I’ve also had cats in the home, as well. I have taken care of the basics of feeding them, giving clean water (daily), maintaining the litter box (as needed) and even giving insulin injections (to both felines and dogs). I’ve trained many of my larger breed dogs and my service dog. Bathing, feeding, walking and not just for my pets, but also friends & family. Since my sweet Bella (pictured) passed I actually have a 20lb Boston Terrier, named Lucy, now. I also live on a farm where we have 3 miniature horses and one thoroughbred big boy. I’m very flexible in my schedule and if I was needed to stay for extended periods of time, my animals would be taken care of. I’ve been on medical disability for 4 1/2yrs now. Other than my appointments I have throughout the week, my only other commitment is the upkeep of my home and taking care of my animals. I would not be bringing clients pets to my home, as it’s a spacious and fenced in yard; however, we have one dog who doesn’t play well with others. In a client’s home, unless asked by the owner, the only thing I would remove from the home (temporarily), would be the pet. I’m very cautious with another’s fur baby; so, I would treat it as my own with love, snuggles and a gentle touch. I’m always aware of my surroundings, especially with something so precious, to another. I’ve always been described as very trustworthy and compassionate, with people, as well as, with their animals. Pampering and maintaining a secure environment for your animal(s), no matter the type or the amount you may have. This way, you know that one of your family members is in the best hands possible while you take a vacation for your own self-care.

Abigail was wonderful! She was great at sending pictures and communicating with us! When we arrived home, the dogs were relaxed, the sheets were washed and the house was clean! Abi did a super job following the dogs’ schedule and kept them happy! Highly recommend!

Abi is a phenomenal dog and house sitter. She is communicative, trustworthy, and easygoing. She took the best care of both of our dogs and we could see how happy they were in all of the photos she sent! Our home was also very clean and tidy, we are so impressed with Abi. I would recommend her to everyone. We hope to use her again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Apple Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Apple Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Apple Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
