“Stacy did a great job! I appreciated the updates and photos each day. My cats were calm and happy when I got back from my trip and their food station, waters, and litter boxes were nice and clean. We will absolutely rebook with Stacy if she’s available next time we take a trip!”

“Eva was amazing taking care of my 3 dogs! She went above and beyond and even took them on a walk! She played with them and took great care of my girls! They absolutely loved her! I was nervous leaving my dogs for 3 days but she sure made it easy and I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing they were taken care of and safe!”

About: Hi, I’m Grace! I love all animals and grew up surrounded by them and have many of my own at home! I currently have 3 dogs,3 cats, parrots, and chickens who I take care of. I have even volunteered at Haven Humane many times, so I have lots of experience with feeding, walking, playing, and grooming! I also learned how to read pet body language and manage animals with different temperaments as a volunteer. I’m good with both young pets and older ones, and am even comfortable with administering medicine if needed, as I have pets that need regular medications. Whether you have an energetic pet who needs lots of attention and walks, or one who just wants to cuddle and needs someone to sit around at home with, I will take the best possible care of them! I’m currently working part-time usually Thursday through Sunday, though my schedule varies. I’m typically available in the afternoons or evenings on these days, so I can do walks or play dates. I’m free to house sit Mondays through Wednesdays and can even stay all day if needed. When staying at your home, I always make sure to never leave pets unattended for long periods of time, always keep them leashed while on walks, will send updates and often as possible, and carefully follow all instructions including feeding or medication instructions. I will also treat your home with the most care, and make sure everything is kept clean and secure.

I am CPR certified, reliable, and committed to following your instructions carefully so your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for every time I’m with them. I have open availability and am flexible to meet your pet care needs. Whether you need early morning, daytime, evening, weekend, or last-minute care, I’m happy to help whenever my schedule allows. I understand that every pet has a unique routine, and I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care while keeping you updated for peace of mind. I treat every pet as if they were my own. At home, I make sure my pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of love and attention every day. When caring for your pet, I’ll carefully follow your instructions, respect your home, and do everything I can to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
About: I was raised with Dogs my whole life! My aunt was a groomer so I've been around all sorts of animals. I've personally owned/fostered, 2 labs, a pit/boxer, a french bull dog, 2 Chihuahuas and more. I've even trained a bit too. I've decided that this is something I'd like to do full time,or as much as possible, I love dogs and if I can help their owners out as well, I think it's a win win I have a huge back yard, high fences, and plenty of running room, all tho they might get a bit dirty(not currently accepting at my house). As for at your home if you tell me what needs to be done I will follow the list and provide pictures of it done!
“Danielle was super accommodating with our sweet senior boy! She was always really communicative and she put a lot of care into our old man's special needs during her drop-in visits. 🤍”

“Laura is the best! She has compassion for my fur babies and excellent communication skills. Every time she stopped by she sent multiple pictures and told me what they were up to! I will definitely request for Laura every time we travel! Thank you so much Laura!”

About: I have been watching the animals of over 5 families for the past 5 years. I not only give basic care, but also go above and beyond to make your animals feel cared for and comfortable while their family is away! I am flexible and able to work around the schedule that you want me to execute for your animals. If you would just like pop ins I can do that or spend time with your furry friends, take them for walks, and give them love. I am very loving and attentive to my own animals and will treat all of the animals I care for in the same manner. I understand that they are pets but they deserve the same attention and love as our other family members!
“Julie was the best! The sweetest and great with my older dog who’s extremely needy ☺️. My dog instantly took a liking to her when she walked in the door. I received pictures of Kila playing and looked super happy when we had to go away for the weekend. I definitely recommend Julie and trust her with my fur baby anytime. I def will be using Julie again if she agrees of course lol . 10 stars for Julie!!”

About: My family owned many animals at the same time, we had 3 dogs and 2 cats. I would help take them out to play and go for walks even if they were a little mean. I would help feed the animals the right amount a food for each dog and cat and refill their water so I am very familiar with basic sitting My schedule is given to me weekly for my main job but I mostly work the evenings so you can expect me for mornings unless they decide to make me work the morning but I ask for a week in advance schedule (before Sunday) so I can have my boss give me a schedule that works for you:) I care for all animals as if they were priceless creatures and they should always be treated with respect and modesty, and I try keep the animal comfortable

About: My name is Jessica! I am 21 years old and I am originally from Brentwood, California. I just graduated last week from College and I have officially moved into my first apartment here in Redding. I am looking for clients that I can gain their trust to watch their animals in Redding. In high school I had a couple families back home that I was always on their list to watch their animals and I would love to be on your list as well. I have my own car and I am willing to take your animals on walks and to outdoors areas to play if you would like. I have a huge love for all animals but unfortunately I can't have any animals in my apartment so this will be perfect to get my animal fix for the weekend. I am very reliable, organized, and trustworthy. I would love to help you and your family out! Thank you for your time. Pet care fits into my daily routine by going home during my breaks at work to let animals out. Weekends are a huge part in taking care of animals for people when they go on vacation. I plan on taking care of the animals any way the owners do like in their own home. I will play with them and keep them active.
About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was young—I love critters of all kinds and I am willing to learn how to care for any animal who needs a companion. Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rats, fish, you name it! I have owned pets of my own since I was about 10—fish, hamsters, cats, even ant colonies and pillbugs—and I began to petsit for neighbors as a teenager. I'm generally capable of regular house visits, keeping a punctual schedule, engaging in play & enrichment any way I can, bathing animals of any size, and adapting to the needs of any animal in my care. I am not able to consistently walk very high-energy dogs, but if you have an enclosed yard I'm more than happy to let your pet(s) get his or her energy out there. I'm great with low-energy animals who need a cuddle buddy or somebody to simply share a space with. I'm willing to do overnights, week+ long stays, and jobs with multiple pets. My schedule is very flexible to the needs of your pets, but I do have animals of my own to care for at home. I typically do not like to leave clients' pets alone for more than 4 hours at a time during the day, so you can expect regular visits within that time frame. I like to have lots of options for play & exercise with your pet. I don't take pets home, but I'm happy to supervise your pet in a fenced yard or a nearby park! I enjoy snuggles & handling small enclosure pets like rodents, and I'm willing to learn how to provide enrichment for any animal. I'm very strict about sticking to a feeding schedule, but I do like to give plenty of treats throughout the day if health allows. I try to keep clean as much as possible—bathing pets, regularly vacuuming/mopping, emptying litter, brushing fur and teeth, etc.

About: I've had the pleasure of working and taking care of many clients throughout the last decade and have loved every single one. I would love the chance to be able to take care of yours as well. I currently work at a grooming salon starting at 9am and work until about 3:30pm ( at the LATEST) Monday through Friday. I am willIing to work around schedules that you and you're family have. Since I am offering care at your home I can provide detailed emails, text messages, and pictures of your pet to make you feel at ease while you are away. If bathing and cleaning are needed I can also provide basic bathing as well as carpet cleaning if accidents happen.
About: Hi, I’m Ariyana! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I also make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you’re away. I’ll respect your home as if it were my own by keeping everything clean, secure, and tidy. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care while making your pet feel comfortable in the place they know best.
“Kristin did a great job caring for my "sometimes difficult" cat while I was gone for over a week. She came to the house to feed him and give him some attention every day. He responded positively to Kristin when we had our meet and greet and from the photos she posted he was very happy. I felt very comfortable leaving on a trip knowing that Kristin was here for my fur baby. I recommend her highly and will definitely ask for her again.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
