I am flexible and able to work around the schedule that you want me to execute for your animals. If you would just like pop ins I can do that or spend time with your furry friends, take them for walks, and give them love. She took her time each visit made sure the boys got enough time to potty and even have them sun bathe outside. This made my trip much easier. About: Hi, I’m Grace! I love all animals and grew up surrounded by them and have many of my own at home! I currently have 3 dogs,3 cats, parrots, and chickens who I take care of. I have even volunteered at Haven Humane many times, so I have lots of experience with feeding, walking, playing, and grooming! I also learned how to read pet body language and manage animals with different temperaments as a volunteer. I’m good with both young pets and older ones, and am even comfortable with administering medicine if needed, as I have pets that need regular medications. Whether you have an energetic pet who needs lots of attention and walks, or one who just wants to cuddle and needs someone to sit around at home with, I will take the best possible care of them! I’m currently working part-time usually Thursday through Sunday, though my schedule varies. I’m typically available in the afternoons or evenings on these days, so I can do walks or play dates. I’m free to house sit Mondays through Wednesdays and can even stay all day if needed. When staying at your home, I always make sure to never leave pets unattended for long periods of time, always keep them leashed while on walks, will send updates and often as possible, and carefully follow all instructions including feeding or medication instructions. I will also treat your home with the most care, and make sure everything is kept clean and secure.
“Thank you Jennifer! You are the best! Thank you so much for coming over short notice to meet the dogs before my vacation. That helped me feel more comfortable since it was my first time using Rover. Thank you so much for going beyond taking such good care of my fur babies. The check ins text and photos were awesome and made me feel comfortable leaving them knowing how well they were taken care of. You are my new go to dog sitter! Thank you so much!”

“As a repeat client, I absolutely recommend Stacy to watch over their little loved ones! She always goes above and beyond to ensure our cat is taken care of and is vigilant when she drops in. She's brought in packages for us and cleans up nicely. And our cat absolutely adores her!”

“Regena was amazing! She let us know what was going on with our boys each time she visited and the pics were great! We felt they were cared for well while we were away! We will definitely request her again!”

“Danielle was super accommodating with our sweet senior boy! She was always really communicative and she put a lot of care into our old man's special needs during her drop-in visits. 🤍”

About: I grew up on a farm, so animals have always been part of my world—feeding chickens before breakfast, brushing horses after school, and getting covered in dog hair in between! I’ve looked after everything from bouncy puppies to mellow senior dogs, and I’ve always had an easy, natural connection with animals. They seem to sense that I’m one of the good ones. I’m great at picking up on their vibes—whether they’re in the mood to zoom around or just want some chill cuddle time. Taking care of animals is second nature to me, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I live a flexible lifestyle and am fully available to care for your pets. Since I’m not tied to a traditional job or schedule, I can offer your fur babies lots of time, attention, and consistency. Whether it’s daily walks, extended stays, or last-minute needs, I’m here to help and happy to adapt to your routine. I prioritize creating a safe, nurturing environment wherever I’m staying. I care for pets in their own familiar space, which helps them feel secure and relaxed. I’m attentive to routines, respectful of your home, and can adapt to any special needs your pet may have—whether that means crating, administering medication, or extra cuddle time.

I went to a 4 month emersion program to study the behavior of the amazing animals and now I feel I am way more prepared to communicate with K9s now that I understand them as they try to understand us! I have had dogs of my own since I was a child all the way through adulthood. Potty breaks, socializing and and playtime are key pillars in our daily routine. K9s aren't just animals for a lot of us they are apart of our family. A foundation that we come home to everyday. People have their own routines and I will make sure to do the best i possibly can when caring for your furry family member the best way I can!

“Morgan is trustworthy, reliable, and paid excellent attention to detail! For my first time leaving them in her care, I forgot to leave instruction on a medicine for one of my dogs; she carefully read the bottle and communicated with us! She provided good updates & pertinent information about how my dogs were doing. She was punctual, showed up for every requested visit, always locked up the house, and I loved all the pictures she took of my dogs.”

About: Hey I’m Callie, and I’ve been raised around dogs and cats since I’ve been able to talk. I have grown up with many big dogs as well as taking care of senior dogs who need extra care especially for diets and giving them the proper exercise. I am currently a college student at Simpson university, so I will have lots of breaks to check in on your pets and give them the attention they need. When taking care of your pets I will be able to crate them when necessary, as well as follow any instructions I am given about specific care for your pets because attention to detail is very important to me and taking care of animals.
About: My family has always been passionate about giving animals, the best possible life and experience that we possibly could. I have owned multiple dogs of different sizes and cared for multiple kinds of reptiles. I’m a quick learner and can follow any instructions you set for me. Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
