“My dogs absolutely love their time with Aunt Leslie. They settle in quickly as if it hasn't been a couple months since the last stay. I enjoyed my time away without any concerns about the pups best they were under Leslie's care and supervision.”

“Dana is our go-to when it comes to care for our pup and this our third or fourth time using her and the longest we’ve been away from our guy! We got daily pupdates and he had a great time with his daily long walks and spending time outside. We all love Dana!”

“Highly recommend Leah and Christopher for dog sitting! Finn felt right at home and loved running around their fenced yard. They were very helpful wi the my changing schedule and sent lots of pix of Finn! We will definitely ask to come back!”

“Jessica truly went above and beyond while taking care of our dog Frank! She provided many updates and pictures and we knew he was in great care! She is amazing with dogs and would absolutely use her again!”

“Whitney was wonderful! She made our pups feel right at home and eased their sitter/ boarding anxiety by taking great care of them and sticking to their routine. She accommodated our last minute booking request and sent updates so our minds were completely at ease while our 2 large rescue dogs were in her care. I highly recommend Whitney to care for your pups!”

“Exceptional service and great animal lover, Provided daily updates of pictures with the dogs activities throughout the day. Very pleasant experience! Kaiser had a blast!! Thank you, Tara and family!”

“Richard took phenomenal care of my dog, Bruno, and I could not recommend him more highly. He truly went above and beyond during Bruno’s stay. Bruno has a daily skin care routine and requires medications, and Richard handled everything perfectly. By the time we picked Bruno up, his skin honestly looked better than when we dropped him off. Richard is clearly experienced and confident administering all types of medications, including injections, which gave me a huge sense of relief and comfort. It’s not easy to find someone you fully trust with a dog that has medical needs, but I felt completely comfortable leaving Bruno in his care. We had daily updates which put our minds at ease You can tell Richard genuinely loves dogs. Bruno got constant attention, enjoyed his backyard, and clearly loved spending time with Richard and his family. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bruno was being cared for like part of the family. We will absolutely book with Richard again. Richard is officially our new Rover when we go on vacation.”

“This is the third time Tamara has watched our little guy, and she is the best! We get lots of pictures of Max during our time away, which we love. Thanks, Tamara!”

“I booked Cori very close to Christmas and I was so thankful that she had room for my pet. She is wonderful - made me & Cheesy feel right at home upon meeting her and she sent fun photos of my dog. I will definitely keep her in mind when I book my next trip. I can easily recommend her to anyone who is looking for a place to board their pet.”

“Jennifer was very quick to respond and sent me lots of pictures of my pup 😁 which I really appreciated and made me feel better since it was our first time using her. We will be doing it again. 🫶🏼”

“Aubreyann was great! She took time with introducing our dog who tends to be nervous about other dogs to her dogs and provided us updates. She was also very adaptable and made the care of our baby so easy, thank you again!!!!”

“Ashley and her family took great care of our cat MJ! The pictures Ashley sent of MJ having fun makes us smile and laugh. We have to ask ourselves, “is that our cat?” because MJ is so comfortable and out going with Ashley and her family. Ashley - thank you for the great care you give to MJ!”

“This is the first time I have used Rover and I'm thankful this app is out there. Jocelyn B. was wonderful. I have one dog that is easy and the other can be a handful. I was thankful that I could leave for the weekend and not worry.”

“We used Stacie for the first time while on an international trip, and she was great. She communicated regularly and sent pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. My dog got to interact with other chill, sweet dogs and clearly had a great time. We’ll definitely be using Stacie again. Thank you, Stacie!”

“Our old pup absolutely loves staying with Julie’s family. She takes wonderful care of him, navigating his picky eating and various joint medications. He comes home so tired - from both the outdoor time and the social interactions, I am sure. I trust Julie completely with his care and will continue to use her for our dog sitting needs as long as she will have us.”

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
