I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. About: I have been around dogs my whole life. They truly are a man’s bestfriend. At home I have a beautiful white lab, he is 95lbs of pure love thinking he’s a lapdog. I also have a King Charles Cavalier that is the princess of the house. She is so happy and spunky and keeps us all laughing. Previously I have owned Cocker Spaniels, other Labs and a Maltese. I started dogsitting when I was 11 years old. I had just arrived at my grandparents house and I saw this little dog wandering around and he ran right to me and I saw the owner walking towards me up the road. The puppy let me pick him up and we walked all the way to the owner. He and his wife were pilots so whenever they were flying I was working and I was ecstatic to have my first job looking after their two dogs. Through the years I’ve done Bathing, walks, feeding, medications, shots , vet trips, etc. I truly love dogs and seeing them happy, and giving their families peace of mind that their beloved pups will be well loved while they are gone. I send texts and pictures of each visit and keep in communication with the family. If you choose to trust me with your four legged family member I guarantee they will be well taken care of and loved. I am a teacher so I have Summers to offer. My Schedule throughout the school year fills up so book in advance because I also do tutoring, and nannying throughout the week. We asked on short notice for her to work out a drop-in schedule for our 2 cats while we would be away for 8 days and she promptly set up a meet & greet and fit us into her schedule for the time we requested. Caitlin is highly communicative, fast to respond and followed all of our asks and instructions. We could immediately see she loves animals and treated ours like her own. She provided detailed updates after visits, shared fantastic pictures everyday, and brought extra toys for our cats (which she left for them!). What we appreciated most is she also takes initiative unasked - she brought lick mats for the kitties after I mentioned offhand that sometimes they vomit after eating too fast; took out our trash because "no one likes coming home to a full trash can;" and tied up the litter bag and disposed of it when it got full. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I can remember. Grew up with livestock, normal pets too. I have experience pet sitting, dog walking, dog and cat nail trims too. I needed better work life balance than what my normal 9-5 could give me. My schedule is pretty flexible at the moment and I am looking forward to making new business relationships. About: Hi! My name is Meredith and have grown up caring for dog breeds such as German shepherds, labs, corgis, and schnauzers. I am comfortable around any breed! I also have experience caring for indoor & outdoor cats and can follow whatever protocol you need to keep them happy and healthy! I’m currently home for the summer from college and taking an online class while working remotely. I coach volleyball on Monday and Wednesday evenings but I’d still be available for visits before and after! I’m really available at all times as long as we can communicate expectations! I do not offer pet care in my home to protect my pet rabbits who are free-roam. However, in your home, I will follow all protocol you ask me to complete while providing many pets and cuddles and whatever playtime they love! It is important to keep your pet’s brain stimulated, especially when they are anxious because their owner is away!
About: I’ve had 13 years of pet care experience, including walking, bathing, and grooming! We’re very interactive with the pets, with at least one family member home at all times. I am currently at a law firm in Fairfax. I will be home in the mornings and evenings every day, with flexible availability. About: With the exception of a few years during college, I have always had animals in my life! I grew up always having a cat and a dog in the house and taking progressively more responsibility for their care as I got older. Now, I'm owned by two dogs (a boxer mix and a lab mix) and two cats, one of which followed my boxer and I home one day and decided to stay. They are by far the best part of my day. With all these fur babies, I've run the gauntlet of pet care challenges, from pilling cats, to dealing with allergies, to working on behaviors like marking and excessive barking. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but what I do know is that it's made me incredibly patient and compassionate with any animals in my care. Plus I've learned a trick or two along the way! I currently work for myself (from home) as a research consultant. While I do have periodic meetings throughout the week, I usually have a significant amount of flexibility in my schedule during the mornings and afternoons. I often find myself going out on multiple long walks throughout the day and generally finding any excuse I can to be outside. So why not use that time to hang out with some new animal friends? My flexible schedule means that I can accommodate most any pet needs. I go for multiple walks every day both on my own and with my own dogs, so it's easy to incorporate lots of activity in your pet's day. I also have an enclosed front porch that we all love sitting outside in the shade on, just enjoying the fresh air. And on hot days, I even have a kiddie pool that one of my dogs likes to play in to cool off. Both my dogs are very friendly and would love to make new friends! One of my cats even enjoys horsing around with the dogs. My dogs have free reign in the house, but usually hang out with me. I'm happy to have your dog(s) make themself at home as well or to crate them if that's your preference.
About: Extremely skilled and educated on puppies all the way up to senior dogs. I love learning their personalities as well as understanding and meeting their needs. I currently do not work on Wednesdays and I am off all other days at four. I am also willing to drive to your home for afternoon services. I am also more than happy to provide updates as often as you’d life, whether that’s daily or hourly check-ins, photos, or videos so you can see how your pet is doing. I pay close attention to your pet’s behavior, health, and surroundings, making sure they’re safe and comfortable both inside the home and in outdoor spaces. I keep information on local vets and emergency clinics on my phone. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own!

I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem!
