About: I've grown up with large and small dogs always around me, which gave me early insight into pet behaviors and tendencies to always be aware of. From puppy training to senior pet care, I’ve experienced all types of age ranges and requirements needed depending on the breed or size, so any additional requirements of service can be fulfilled when needed. I experience a great amount of joy with every new animal I meet and see! When caring for another’s pet, I can guarantee that I will treat yours with the love and respect that I give to my own. As a student there are classes during the school year that I do have to work around; but I still can accept any day in most cases. My classes are done early most days, so working around them is not an issue. In my own home I have an active dog who requires daily walks, and lots of playtime. I have also dealt with more timid and anxious dogs, so I have a good understanding of the different ways dogs may need to be treated. In most cases, I would just ask the dogs owner anything that may be valuable information in regards to their pet and how the owner prefers them to interacted with.

About: I have been in the pet industry since 2020 & have watched many dogs/cats over the years as well as reptiles. I love seeing how excited dogs get to see you & when a cat comes out of their hiding spot to eat their dinner! I have 3 cats of my own currently & had family dogs growing up but my apartment isn’t a good size for a dog right now. I currently have a job that varies on hours throughout the week but I am available most mornings/nights to take them out to the bathroom & provide food/water. I can also do dog walking almost every day of the week. I currently have 3 cats & they get wet food/dry daily and are also provided a clean water fountain that is replenished daily. I play with them as much as I can every day & they have a huge multi-level cat tree that they love so much.

About: Born around lots of animals, including the GSD my mom bred many going to K9 programs and I would show them when I was little. Growing up, I was part of raising & training hunting dogs (Labs) & a seizure dog (Sheltie). As an adult I've had a GSD, Pomeranians and pitbulls (potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, basic commands like sit stay come - clicker method). I also learned some about senior care helping my friend who worked at Hearts United shelter for several years. I currently don't have any dogs, but have cats. I have minimal appointments (2 hour long weekly standing & sporadic others) and errands (school drop off and pickup) so I can be available to care for your pet nearly 24/7 Caring for your dog at your home, I would follow whatever routine, usual/best practices you have for them there. At my apartment, there is a large open grassy area right behind my building and a great walking/bike path, but it is NOT fenced so I would be taking out any dog myself on a leash. If I needed to leave my apartment for an appointment/errand and could not bring your dog along, I would want to crate to ensure there's no accidents while unsupervised in a strange environment.

About: I grew up helping with our family dog and couldn’t wait to get one of my own. I currently have a 3 year old golden retriever named Betty, who is very active and we walk daily! Would love to add your precious pup to the mix! I would love to add your precious pup into Betty and I’s daily walk! On weekdays I am available around 5:30pm or later (depending on your location) and weekends I am very flexible. Would be willing to leave Betty at home if need be, but would prefer to bring her along so she can make new friends! Walking Betty daily for nearly four years has given me great knowledge in how to control dogs that have lots of energy and love to pull on the leash. I am also able to help teach your pup simple commands while on our walk or am able to ensure to use any commands you already use to help keep those part of their daily routine.

About: I have had pets my entire life and have taken care of family friends dogs before. My dogs are rescues, so that is training on its own. When family is out of town I take care of theirs, that includes my aunt and uncle, grandparents, and more. I'm a pretty flexible person, I like being up early and I don't mind driving to come take care of animals. I do work a lot, meaning i'll be out and about and am always down to come see some animals. I also love taking animals on a good walk!! I am huge on love and attention, making sure that they are well kept. My dogs are a little too loved, they really love their treats. But I am respectful of all owners rules for their animals and will take care of them to the best of my ability as if the owners weren't gone.

About: I’m Elizabeth and this is my baby-boy Umbra, a 3yr old Australian Shepherd. I love dogs, grew up with them, and when it came to purchasing a home, thought about my future dogs first… no, seriously! We have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. Just a block away, we have a lovely wooded area for afternoon walks. Experience - My husband Nathan and I have taken Puppy, Adolescence, and Obedience 1, 2, and 3 training through Greater Lincoln Obedience Club - I was an Assistant Instructor for Obedience 1 - Volunteer dog walker at the Capital Humane Society - I've completed Grooming courses 1 and 2 through Kenl Inn - Pet First Aid course through Kenl Inn - Pet Massage course through SCC continuing education Umbra's Story Umbra is a high-energy, working breed so we got him into dog sports! He loved Agility 1, 2, and 3 until the teeter totter became too scary. We switched over to Flyball and self-taught Dock Diving. Because of his health, we’ve swapped dog sports for trick and sniff training. To keep him active and social we frequent dog parks, Offleash Dog Bar, and dog friendly stores and restaurants. He comes with us everywhere he can, and we’ve taken vacations just for him! When Umbra was a pup, we noticed abnormalities with his eating patterns and stool. For a year, we worked closely with our vet and uncovered severe food allergies, gastroenteritis, and a vitamin deficiency. Thanks to a restricted diet including daily vitamins and probiotics his tummy is doing well! When he was neutered, hip laxity was discovered that would eventually lead to arthritic symptoms. To give him a pain free life as along as possible, we added another daily supplement, started weekly water therapy, and were instructed to administer a monthly subcutaneous shot (Nathan handles the needle). It was discovering his enlarged heart that put an end to dog sports, but he still lives a fulfilling life. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My day is already structured to include a minimum of 3 exercise / play sessions a day for 30-60mins each. Umbra is well socialized and loves large and small dogs. He would love for your pup to visit! Your dog will receive plenty exercise and play, belly rubs, neighborhood walks, and approved outings and treats. We have toys, puzzle games, and snuffling and lick toys for them to engage with. If they need a contained break, we have crates and a playpen to block off larger spaces. You will receive lots of photos and the comfort of knowing your pet is well cared for. For dog's staying in their own home, just let me know their routine and any special needs.

About: Experienced dog owner who would love the opportunity to watch your pets. Let me take the stress out of leaving your pet behind while you're away. Fenced in back yard and willing to play fetch or walk to your dogs content. I work full time out of my home office. I would be available to let dogs out as needed or travel to your house to walk your dog or let them out to potty and play. I have a fenced in yard and experience walking dogs. I will spend time outside with your dog to play fetch or just enjoy a shady spot in the yard to relax. Dogs don't need to be kenneled at night unless they are crate trained to do so.

About: I have petsit professionally for 4 years and worked at an animal shelter for 1. These jobs have given me experience will all types of cats and dogs. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes and cats of all temperaments (including “spicy” cats!) I have experience giving medication and working with special needs cats and dogs. I also have experience with dogs and cats from as young as newborn to seniors. I love all animals and can ensure a positive experience for both you and your furbabies. I am a full time online student which allows me a lot of flexibility for caring for your pets. My dogs are let out every 2-3 hours or when they want to. I give my pets weekly baths and try to take them on walks frequently. My cats are given weekly baths and litter box scooped frequently throughout the day. All of my pets are fed twice a day, with one of my cats requiring a special diet. I care for all pets like my own. I have a firm understanding of body language and can adapt accordingly. All pets are given my upmost effort and attention. Trusting me with your animals means I will ensure both you and your furbabies have a positive experience.

About: I grew up with dogs and have always had pets. I was a toddler when our Brittany Spaniel had a litter of pups. I love to care for animals. Currently, I am having fun raising a high-energy, 2 year-old guy, taking him on adventures, fetch, exercise, and reading all the dog training books. :) I want to share my love and care for your dog too! I work from home, with plenty of time to walk, run, play and train. We have fun and would like some fur-friends to come join us! I work from home and take my dog for two to three 30-min walks/runs during the day (with 1-2 shorter walks or adventures mixed in). I have an outdoor area for shorter play times on leash, and take my dog for car rides and longer outdoor playtimes and walks twice a day. I work on basic commands and use positive reinforcement for desired behaviors. I have an extra large crate and a spare bedroom for quiet times. I am home all day with my dog and would oversee play times.

About: I’m a fire fighter military and civilian so I work ever third day and so I’m looking for something that I can do in my off time that I enjoy. I know how hard it is to find someone you trust to watch your pets and how crazy life can be. I have two dogs of my own and they are my children so I understand wanting to leave your pets in good hands. I frequent the dog parks in Sioux and South Sioux City so I would be more then happy to take your dog there. I’m open to all breeds of dogs, cats, etc. and I know how some times you just want your pet to be worn out when you get home so I will do my very best to do so. I have my own dog who I care for and spoil. I’m a pretty active person and my dog goes just about every where with me. I have a pretty good size yard, a dog park close by, and tons of toys, treats and puzzles available for dogs. Also can have a dog available to play with or can just have one on one time with your pet.

About: My wife and I both grew up with multiple dogs in our families. My wife grew up on a farm with mostly outside cattle dogs and I grew up in the city with mostly inside dogs. When we got married we got a dog of our own. She was our baby until we had kids of our own. She was then the best big sister to our daughters the rest of her life. We have owned 2 boxers in the time that we have been married and truly loved our time with them. We have realized as our 3 girls have gotten older and super involved in activities, we no longer have time for a dog of our own. That is what has brought us to Rover. We would love the opportunity to care for other people dogs in a way that works with our crazy schedule. My wife and I are both teachers and coaches. During the school year we are very busy teaching, coaching, and running our 3 daughters to activities. During the summer our schedule slows way down. We are usually home during the the week and at the lake on the weekend. All/most of my family would be available for pet care Monday-Friday during the summer. We would be available to have dogs in our home or to drive to your home. We would not be able to do any overnights in your home, but would welcome dogs to stay over night in our home. We live in a split level house, so there is no way to avoid stairs. We have a big fenced in backyard with a play set, trampoline, and above ground pool. We live in a quite neighborhood on a side street. We have lots of houses around us with dogs and lots of dogs in the neighborhood. My wife takes long walks daily and would love to have a canine companion. My 3 girls love animals and will spoil all dogs with love and attention.

About: I love working with dogs and cats. I've worked with many breeds since 2015. I am great for the drop-ins and walks in afternoons at the park. I work full-time and have an hour for lunch. I can swing by and do bathroom checks or food checks near the noon hour, otherwise I'm available for walks after 5pm. Depending in the situation, im flexible with any living situation and can take pups for walks or let animals outdoors while keeping an eye on their environment.
