We had a few days when we could not take the dogs with us on our adventures, so we are thankful we had someone take of our fur babies for walks, to water them, and interact with them. She took pictures during each visit for us to see how they were doing. Our fur babies were well taken care of during these check-ins, and we will definitely use Valerie next time we camp in the area.”

About: I worked at a veterinary hospital for almost two years and got a lot of experience from that. I worked as an assistant and worked in surgeries and the clinic area. I also stayed overnight with patients. I’ve also helped my family watch their animals for them while they have went out of town. I’ve had animals in my life my entire life. I am currently a stay at home mom with my two children and I’m trying to bring home some income to help support my family. I have a pretty open schedule. I have a fenced in area in my back yard and I also have a ‘dog room’ that we call it in our house. I don’t plan on boarding at my house though currently. Possibly that could be something in the future but not right now.

About: Hi I’m Liz and I absolutely love animals! When I was younger I was always wanting to help out any animal I could find. I grew up with cats and a dog but once I got married my husband was allergic to cats so I never got to own my own cat. But I foster dogs on the side! I don’t work with any agencies, I just help certain life or death situations or senior pups who were denied proper care. I currently own 7 dogs ranging from all ages puppy to senior. I also own what most people call “difficult” breeds Akitas, Shibas, huskies, German Shepherds, Pomeranians, and Samoyed! I have a few puppies in training at my house and would love to share my knowledge of dogs with others! If you have training questions I’d love to help you and get you on the right track! I can’t wait to meet your pup! I’m currently working full time but I get off at 3-4pm each day and I am off Saturday and Sunday. I have a lot of wiggle room and would love to accommodate any way I can! I want to care for your pet in the same manner you do! About: I used to have a successful pet-sitting business where dogs could stay at my house overnight, instead of being stuck in overnight kennels. I had regular clients, but had to end it because I was in high school and doing other extracurricular activities. I've had dogs since I was a small child. They are my family and I would do anything for them. Knowing how much my dogs mean to me, I will treat other's dogs like I would my own. My schedule is very flexible and I have reliable transportation. I think it's very important to make sure dogs are comfortable, happy, and given the care each individual dog requires. Having the opportunity to work with dogs would be something I would love to do- it wouldn't feel like work.

About: My experience pet-sitting (before I joined Rover in 2019) began at age 14 and has consisted of taking care of neighbors and family friends' dogs, eventually getting gigs through personal referrals. Helping others look after their animals and taking care of them as my own while making a few extra dollars is the perfect gig for me! Dog-walking/sitting: I'm pretty active and love the outdoors, so I'm more than willing to take your fur baby on short or long excursions outside. Some of my favorite memories are taking my family's dogs on long walks and spending time with them at the lake. Cat-sitting: I love both cats AND dogs for very different reasons. Dogs are awesome because they're friendly, energetic, and man's best friend! Cats are so different in that they are sooo relaxing, hands-off compared to dogs, and relatively independent. Other animals: I have little experience in this arena but would love to take care of any other pets you may have! I'd love the opportunity to take care of your pets while you're away! :) I work full-time from home when not traveling for my job. Because I love animals and travel too much to have some of my own, pet sitting is the perfect, flexible gig for me! I treat my clients’ pets as my own, so I do let them on the bed or couch to snuggle if that’s something you allow in your home. My personal motto is “leave no trace” typically used for the outdoors, but that is also the standard I abide by when staying in a client’s home.

About: I’ve always been that person who immediately notices the dog before the humans (respectfully 😂). I genuinely love animals and take caring for them seriously. Whether your pet is full of zoomies, prefers a slow stroll, or just wants someone to sit nearby while they judge me from across the room (looking at you, cats), I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m reliable, patient, detail-oriented, and I’ll stick to your pet’s routine because I know consistency matters. Expect lots of updates, cute pictures, and the occasional message telling you your dog made a new best friend (me). I’m currently a PhD student, so my schedule has flexibility throughout the week. Pet care is honestly one of my favorite ways to step away from my computer, get outside, and spend time with some furry company. I’ll always communicate clearly, arrive when I say I will, and make sure your pet gets the attention they deserve. If your pet is in my care, they’re my priority. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, keep a close eye on their behavior, and make sure they stay safe and comfortable. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel nerve-racking, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can actually enjoy your time away instead of wondering how your fur baby is doing.
