“Sara runs a warm, caring, and trustworthy doggy daycare and boarding service. We bring our pup, Enzo, here whenever life gets hectic, and he absolutely loves it. He gets to socialize with a variety of dogs in a safe, supervised environment, which gives us real peace of mind. About: Pet care has always been second nature to me! I grew up surrounded by animals—three cats, a bunny, a duck, and even fish! As an adult, I’ve cared for my own cat and two sweet pups, and though they’re no longer with me, the love I have for animals has never faded. Now, I’m a single mom of three amazing kids and share custody 50/50. On my kid-free weeks, I’d love to open my heart and home to your furry family members. I know how much pets mean to us, and I promise to treat yours with the same love and care I’d give my own. Whether it’s snuggles, walks, or playtime—I’m here for it! With my own pets, I did personalized dog training, and cared for my senior cat. As a work-from-home, self-employed single mom with 50/50 custody, my schedule is both flexible and predictable. On the weeks I don’t have my kids, I have extra space in my day—and in my heart—to care for pets. Since I work from home, I’m able to give animals consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day, whether that means walks, playtime, feedings, or just being a calm presence. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I genuinely look forward to it! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. In my apartment, pets get a calm, cozy environment with plenty of love, attention, and enrichment. I live in a safe, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for getting energy out and enjoying fresh air. I also keep my space clean, pet-friendly, and clutter-free—no current pets other than a quiet little betta fish! When caring for pets in your home, I’m respectful, reliable, and attentive to your routine. I know every pet is unique, and I’ll follow your instructions closely to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home—even when you’re not.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 6 years. Now I have corgi mix adopted from a rescue organization and a Chinese field dog I rescued from China. Pets in my home will hang out in the backyard and they can go wherever they want in the house and stay wherever they find comfortable. My home is located at a dead end community with all the nice neighbors.

“Shay and her husband did a great job with Wrigley! He got play time with their dogs, and Shay gave slow introductions for Wrigley and her pets to make sure they would be comfortable together (they were!). Wrigley was a happy pup when he left.”

About: I grew up with one dog and three cats, so I understand their unique personalities. I also fostered rescue dogs in Korea for five years, helping them adjust to new families. Through this, I’ve worked with dogs of many breeds and temperaments. Plus, I’m ready to run with your pet! As a homemaker, I have a lot of availability during the day, typically from 9:30 AM until 4 PM. I'm free on weekends, except for Sundays between 9 AM and 1 PM. I provide a secure, outdoor space with a fence, a playmate in our friendly Boston Terrier, and the convenience of a nearby dog park for exercise and socialization.

About: I’ve been caring for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies for over 12 years. It started when I was young, helping family and friends with their pets, and naturally grew into fostering both puppies and adult dogs. Today, I live with two senior cats, a ragdoll kitten, two mini schnauzer puppies, and regularly foster dogs. Every dog or puppy I foster learns routines and tricks based on their needs. I’ve helped with leash training, crate and potty training, managing toy reactivity, and teaching commands like sit, shake, and touch. My pets get plenty of playtime, structure, and love and yours will too. I’m careful with pet introductions and always prioritize comfort and safety. I understand every animal is different and will listen closely to your concerns to provide personalized care. I also love sending regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. I work from home, and I am pretty flexible on ensuring the care needed for your pet. I have a lot of time to spoil your pets! I have a fully fenced yard, and monitor pets when they are outside. I introduce pets slowly with positive association and ensure each pet is comfortable. I also have a fence to separate pets indoors if needed. When caring for friends/family's pets, I always ensure pets do not bolt out the door both when coming inside and leaving. When walking a pup, I always ensure their harness/collar is on correctly and have high reward treats/toys to ensure focus stays on me if there are distractions. I never overwhelm an animal and understand they take time to warm up, especially when it is my first time meeting them.

About: I have owned/cared for pets for decades. Your fluffball will be be treated like royalty! I have an 8yr old American Staffordshire Terrior who LOVES to run & play with other dogs and people. I have a large fully fenced yard where they can be goofballs together. Your pup will get plenty of exercise, playtime treats (as instructed), water and belly rubs! I wfh and available M-F for doggy play dates, daycare Doggy guests must be good tempered and ok with indoor cat & bunny as well (cat is indoors only and will probably hide, bunny is secure in his hutch) 2 large fully fenced yards (front & back), lots of room for playing My pets are part of the family, so indoors are ok too! A/C available for hot days

Algona dog parents share their Rover experiences
Brian is great. Super quick in responding to messages. He was very accommodating and provided wonderful doggy day care for our Golden. Brian is willing to work with you on making your pets stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely use him for future bookings. Thanks...

Working with Jordan was fantastic! We have a very anxious dog, but he quickly felt comfortable around Jordan. They're very kind, calm and funny and Diesel seemed like he immediately found a new friend. This was our first time using Rover, or a sitter at all and honestly I would say we weren't great clients.. We just didn't have the experience and things frequently and unexpectedly sprung up on us that affected drop off/pick up times, and things were kind of last minute in general. Jordan did a fantastic job asking questions and prompting information from us, which was a great learning experience and felt very natural and comfortable. In the future I will definitely be contacting Jordan again to care for our pets and we look forward to more (better planned) visits. Jordan rolled with the unexpected changes like a pro. and we appreciated that flexibility very much. We feel more comfortable + prepared using Rover/sitters in general now, but we hope to establish care with Jordan, as they did a great job.

Ari was awesome! Quickly accommodated a meet-and-greet and helped my pup get comfortable with his playful pups. Super responsive while planning the stay and coordinating pickup. Definitely appreciated his patience with getting my old pup comfy in a new environment
