About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I also worked in a dog kennel where I helped manage and care for 25+ dogs, which taught me how to stay calm, attentive, and handle different energy levels and personalities. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your dog is playful, shy, high-energy, or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to follow their routine and give them the attention they need. I take pet care seriously and always aim to be dependable, communicative, and respectful of your home and your pet’s needs. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. My daily routine is super pet-friendly—I do all my homework from home, so your pet will have company and attention throughout the day. I also work out in my garage, which means I’m never far away and can easily take breaks for playtime, walks, or cuddles. I’m homebody at heart, so your furry friend will always have someone around to keep them happy, safe, and loved. In my home, I treat pets like family—giving them a cozy, calm space where they feel safe and loved. I keep a consistent routine with plenty of playtime, potty breaks, and snuggles, and I always follow any special instructions you provide. When I’m in your home, I care for your pet the same way I would my own—respecting your space, keeping things tidy, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s sticking to their feeding schedule, going on their favorite walking route, or giving belly rubs just the way they like them, I make sure they feel right at home.
“Our puppy was giving Sarah kisses when we went to pick him up. That's a 5 gold star review :) Sarah's location is great for families visiting Kennedy Space Center who need a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of everything from Great Danes to Shih Tsu and numerous cats. Most of my clients are repeat customers. My passion for animals comes through the way I care for them I work full but my daughter 15 and son 13 after school help me with the pets with whatever it needs to be done. I’m free on the weekends to care for the pets. I live in a 3 floor townhouse. The senior pets stay in the first floor where my bedroom but they are free to go up and down the stairs as they please. The young ones in the second floor where then can run if they please. The pets can sleep on my bed, or around my bedroom or my sofa. I want them comfortable as possible.
About: Paws & Claws Pet Care of Lake Mary I am mom to an adorable 18lb pup who I raised using the positive reinforcement method. In addition, I've always had pets since I was young. On most days I am currently available for drop-in visits from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday I have more flexibility. In June 2026 my schedule changes to Thursday and Sunday with open flexibility and 9:30 am to 10:00 am on Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday. Safety is a priority for me. For boarding, dogs must have updated vaccines, be clean, and free of fleas, worms, mites, etc. During boarding with more than one dog, I always make sure that the new dog gets along well with the other dogs before the pet parent leaves. It’s best to know your dog’s personality. If your dog shows signs that they do not respect other pets boundaries even during play then group boarding may not be the best fit. For everyone's safety, health, and happiness, if the dog does not get along then the pet parent may need to make back up arrangements. For best practices, parents should always have a back up option in case things don't work out or if there is an emergency. To prevent the risk of dogs not getting along, the pet parent can offer to buyout the sitter at their full capacity. Other best practices to consider: For pups who are sensitive to minor sounds, it may be best to book them with a sitter who lives in a house versus an apartment. For dogs who are prone to potty accidents or excessive drooling, it may be best to book them in a home that has wood floors versus full carpeting. Pups who don't like to share attention would match best with sitters who except one dog at a time. Pets who have extremely high energy may be happiest with sitters who have a fenced in yard for them to run around freely.
“Rolando was great ! She sent me picture and videos through out the day. My 4 month old golden retriever has a great time . He had a lot of space to run and roam . My pup had a great time! Thank you so much for letting him spend the day with you . I will definitely have him stay with her again .”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Alaqua Lakes
Irene is a rescued dog who has been with us for over a year. She’s naturally skittish and gets stressed easily, so finding the right person to care for her was very important to us especially after the loss of our beloved Sophie, who was with us for 14 years. Before choosing a sitter, my husband and I carefully reviewed several Rover profiles, and Rita’s immediately stood out. We were drawn to her empathy and experience with rescue dogs and those with medical needs. After a meet-and-greet that went very well, we felt confident giving it a try. Over the past few months, Irene has been in Rita’s care several times, and each visit has only reassured us. We can see that Irene is becoming more comfortable, which speaks volumes about Rita’s patience and compassion. She keeps us updated with pictures throughout the day and always sends a detailed report card afterward, which we truly appreciate. Rita is kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of the dogs she cares for. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver for their beloved pet. 🐶

Sasha did great! She treated Dolce nicely and was very friendly even when Dolce was scared to go in at first, her family was also very friendly and Dolce came back happy and not scared at all like when she just got there hahaha, I would trust Sasha to take care of Dolce again.

Here's a revised version of your review with some enhancements for clarity and flow: --- Sasha was wonderful! I was initially nervous about leaving my dog with someone unfamiliar, but as soon as Sasha met him, she showered him with love, and he was very happy. He didn’t even notice when I left! I felt a huge relief knowing he was in good hands. Sasha was incredibly kind and even sent me pictures, which made me even happier. I would absolutely choose Sasha to care for my dog again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Alaqua Lakes commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
