About: I've taken care of dogs for over a decade from high energy (I have a border collie) to low energy (I also have a shih tzu), elderly, and everything in between. I'd love to make your dog's day by taking them on a walk or giving them an incredible play time. Same goes for your cats! Whether your pets love activity or simply want someone to watch them sniff in the backyard or hang on the couch, I'd love to bring a highlight to their day. Right now, Friday nights through Sunday are the times I have completely free to dedicate to helping take care of your pets. I'm hoping to add more times soon and options to board. As someone who searches for hours to find the right person to watch my pets, I know how hard it can be to trust someone new to take care of your fur family. Whether it's pictures, reassuring texts, following your instructions exactly, or all 3 I will do my best to make your pets as happy and healthy as possible. I offer drop in visits and walks, so please let me know what you are and aren't comfortable with and I will make sure they are well cared for while giving you as many updates as you'd like!
“Heather never disappoints! Our pup loves to stay with her! Heather goes above and beyond to make sure all her "guests" are loved and cared for. She sends pics and videos almost daily. I never have to think about whether Scooter is being well taken care of or not. We even had a major flight change and Heather was more than happy to have him longer than expected. He is booked for the following week again. He has met many other friends at his stay.”

“This is the second time we have boarded with Ms. Anna - I cannot say enough praise - she is amazing with our high energy Husky! She sent updates and photos and genuinely loves animals. She is our go-to caregiver :)”

“Melody took excellent care of our Ziggy! Ziggy was very hapoy hanging out with Melody. Ziggy is content to have interesting walks, to eat all her food and snacks and to sleep. Melody did well with all of that. I would highly recommend her. 🙂”
“Genalind and the whole family were great with my dogs.. will definitely book with her again. Great pictures and keeping me posted with my dogs all day.. We loved that.. thank you so much”

“I chose Deb as my sitter the first time I used Rover and I will choose her again. If I have to leave him with someone again. She was fantastic with Levi. I much preferred the direct care of someone I can do a meet and greet with, get to know the person that is willing to care of my sweet Levi, like I do. She sent me pictures & up dates each day, they played outside every day, he slept in her bed. We go camping and Levi always goes with, but this time we went to an AirBNB (No dogs aloud) his first time away from us, and he did fine.”

“It was the first time we leave our dog here in the Usa...and we couldn't choose better!! Vicky and all her family were amazing with Hope...she sent us a lot of photos and video...and kept us updated with everything they did during the day...so we could enjoy our trip at best!!”

“What can I say!, I am so glad that I chose Stacy to care for my dogs. She treated them like if they were part of the family. She kept me updated often and sent lots of pictures! I 10/10 recommend!!”

“Gabrielle's home was perfect for our dogs. They had plenty of room to run around in the yard with her dogs, and she was so accommodating. She even borrowed a dog bed from her mom for our pup because she was nervous and overstimulated, the bed was her special place to escape. Gabrielle had no issues handling our dogs and gave them a great weekend stay! Thank you!”
About: I've taken care of and have had pets for forty years, and would love to care for yours as well. I grew up raising Labador Retrievers, and have owned cats over the years as well. I've also had the pleasure of caring for and boarding friends' & families' pets, and having them in my home always brings me so much joy!!! We currently don't have any pets so yours will get all the attention! I am currently a stay at home mom who homeschools my teens. I have flexibility in my schedule most days of the week, and would love to care for your pets in my home, or in your home. I offer dog walking and visits to your home, and will take your pet(s) into my home as well. We have a great neighborhood for walking, and I will accomodate your pet's exercise needs.
“Tara is a fabulous dog sitter! She gives our Billy a great blend of activity and quiet time. He loves going to her home. We feel so happy to have her avalable. Marjorie Mattey”

“If you want your fur baby taken care of, she’s your girl. We were jealous how much our Jefe loved it there with Courtney 🥰🥰 She treated him as if he was her own. We will definitely be rebooking”

“Amber did an amazing job with Parker, he came back super relaxed and sleepy. She was a huge help when we were down on our luck and had just a few days to book a boarding. Her home is super safe for all kinds of puppies, and her children were great with Parker. I definitely recommend booking, and will book again!”

“Julie watched my mini goldendoodle 2x. The 1st time was one full day boarding and the 2nd time was an overnight boarding and full day. The most recent was overnight for the Thanksgiving holiday. I appreciated Julie’s flexibility and last minute acceptance to care for my dog. Julie and her family made Xena feel right at home and part of their family especially since she was with them on Thanksgiving. Julie sent pictures and provided updates. I would definitely recommend and continue to use Julie for any future needs. She is absolutely amazing!”

“Jo-Ellen is an outstanding Rover host!! She really went above and beyond to make sure Zoom was comfortable given this was only his second rover stay. I'm grateful for the A+ communication and attention given to Zoom. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic and lots of grassy lawns. Definitely will be leaving Zoom with Jo-Ellen during future travels!”

“Mary’s home was PERFECT for our Stanley - there was a fenced in yard to run around and plenty of snuggles on the sofas and bed. Mary was attentive to making sure Stanley had his own space to eat meals and chew on his bones. She sent photo and video updates and was always responsive whenever I reached out to check in with her. I truly felt that Mary and her family loved Stanley as their own while he was with them! I would absolutely recommend Mary and book with her again.”

“Brenda took extremely good care of Bella while we were away. She send pics, videos and messages daily so we could see Bella enjoying her time away. We knew Bella was in good hands with Brenda so we could relax and enjoy our vacation.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Akron
"I highly recommend Tonya and David! They took exceptional care of our two boys, who have very different personalities and needs. One of our dogs struggles with anxiety, but Tonya and David were incredibly patient, gentle, and great with him. Right from the start during drop-off, they asked very thoughtful and intentional questions to make sure they understood our dogs' routines. It was clear our boys were truly loved and received top-notch care. We will use them again if needed!"

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
