Experienced Animal-Loving Family
We are an animal-loving family with experience with many different animals and dog breeds. We currently have 4 dogs, 2 cats, a mini pig, a chinchilla & reptiles. We are an approved foster family with a puppy mill rescue and have fostered many dogs with special needs, including a precious golden retriever with a paralyzed back end. We are experienced with senior dogs and various health concerns, including diabetes, seizures & collapsing trachea. We've been pet sitting in our home for many years and this truly is a family business. Our 17 year old is experienced with dog walking, drop-ins, and house sitting while our 13 year old loves doing the cat drop ins. Our 16 year old granddaughter just joined our team as well as a house sitter. All of our children and grandchildren have grown up in homes with animals and are mature and responsible. I work from home and homeschool our 17 year old, so pets staying with us would be loved & cared for all day long. Your pet will be loved as our own and part of our family the entire time they are here. We know how hard it is to leave your beloved pet with someone new, so we created a Facebook page for our family, Stief Family Pet Sitting. It is our hope that following our page will help you get to know us a little better and feel alot more comfortable trusting us with your babies. We are happy to answer any questions you have.

Ambers family always takes such good care of both my pup & my home & I have always felt so comfortable having them there. My girl is always calm when I come home & to me, that’s a sign that she’s been in good hands!!
We appreciate Amber and how well she cares for our dog! He came home tired and happy after his time there. I’m thankful to have somewhere for him to go when we’re away where I know he’s well cared for!

Amber was able to pull the babysitting together so we were able to celebrate our 39 year anniversary. We came back and all 5 girls were doing great. That is the most important thing to us and she is excellent and getting that done. Highly recommend her, but not on days we need her.

Schedule
I work part-time from home so I'm available to love your fur baby day & night. Our 17 year old is homeschooled, so while he does work, his schedule is relatively flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
We consider all of the pets we care for our extended family. When they are here, they are treated like our own, with full run of the house. We have a fenced in yard and separate everyone during feeding time. We also have gates & crates in case we need to separate anyone or we have a pup who is crate-trained.
Pets
A typical day
Your pup(s) will get plenty of indoor and outdoor time and exercise. We love playing ball in our fenced-in backyard and the pups love doing their zoomies in the open space, often making circles around the tall grasses & swing set, and running over and hiding under the bridge. We live in a small, quiet town with sidewalks so it's easy and safe to get walks in. We also live close to the Rail Trail and the Lloyd Roland Park which has a great walking trail.
