“I’m so glad I found Dina! She took great care of my timid and fearful dog Buddy. He usually doesn’t let people near him, but Dina was able to bond with him! It was so nice to see the update pics of him being so close to her! I was able to enjoy Christmas with family, knowing Buddy was in great hands! Dina is caring, trustworthy and kind! Buddy will definitely be seeing her again!”

About: We’re an empty nest couple with no children or other pets in the home. We recently lost our beloved dog and while we’re enjoying the freedom of not having a pet, we still love caring for furry friends! Our home has a fully fenced yard and we’re ready to provide a safe, loving environment for your dog while you’re away! We own a business and operate out of our home so there’s always someone around to give your pet attention, feedings and potty breaks throughout the day. We provide attentive, loving care for your pet. Dogs are let out on a regular schedule for potty breaks, exercise, and fresh air. Weather permitting, they’ll enjoy supervised playtime in our fenced in yard. We give plenty of attention, belly rubs and companionship so your pup feels safe.
“Jaden was great with our 1 year old lab. Lola is very energetic and when I got him from work she was fast asleep on the couch after a mile long walk. Jaden sent updates and has been very flexible with our schedule.”

“Carissa was so mindful and caring with my kitties, and was so gentle with giving my 20yo kitty her meds. She even took out my trash when I forgot, and sent lots of pictures every day I was away. Absolutely will be booking again, thank you so much!! 💙”
About: Animals are my passion. I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs/cats of different ages and sizes. Through my years of experience, it’s easier to coax the most timid of animals into being my buddy. I like to learned and study what each animal needs or wants! So they are the most comfortable with me and on walks. I can check on animals mornings, midday through the afternoon and night. I’m free most weekends so any overnight stays would be fine with me. I would traditionally prefer animals to be in their own home. I know it can be stressful enough for an owner to leave their animals so I’d like for them to be the most comfortable in their own home.

I offer drop-in visits, walks, or extended stays depending on your needs. While you're away, I’ll keep your pet’s routine consistent and provide updates, photos, and peace of mind. I respect your home and your pet’s habits and will treat both with the same care and responsibility I’d expect for my own.

About: I have taken care of dogs in one way or another for most of my life. I have had a pet, either a dog, cat, hamster or a horse all of my life. A couple of years ago I started sitting for friends pets and the last six months of last year I worked for a couple who ran a pet sitting business. I did dog walking, cat feeding and care, and some overnight visits. I am not an expert trainer but I went through all the puppy classes with my border collie and spent a couple of years training for agility. I am semi retired so I have a very flexible schedule. I work at home on my online business. I can easily accommodate pet sitting visits round my schedule. I am very cautious when taking care of other peoples pets because I know how important they are to their families. My own dog is a treasured part of our family.
About: For my senior year of high school I went to a trade school to get my vet assistant certification. I graduated and received my certificate. In the program I was taught basic grooming nails, ears, and even shaving. Everyday we would walk the classroom dogs and interact with them. After high school I worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months before I ended up without a car and wasn’t able to drive the distance to work anymore. Looking for something to do on the side as I work a full time job but never wanted to give up working with animals as it’s my passion. I have a almost year old Pitsky puppy (pitbull/husky) named Dior. He is my such a sweetheart and loves to be around other dogs as well. Over the years I have watched my coworkers dogs, my uncles dog when he got fixed and had to wear a cone during the day so my uncle wasn’t able to watch him since he had to work, etc. I can’t wait to meet and interact with your furry friends and give them a special place in my heart as well💕 I work full time during the week but I always have evenings available to drop ins or walks. Days I am fully available would be Sunday and occasional Mondays as I now babysit as well. Weekends vary but I’m willing to be flexible. I have a nice area that I walk my dog to, to go to the bathroom and there’s also a development I walk through on nicer days, I have an extra bedroom for a crate if your dog needs to bring theirs

I am extremely respectful of my clients’ homes and adhere strictly to their instructions. I treat the environment as a place of employment; and I aim to leave the home clean, neat and as the clients left it.
“Akaycia was absolutely amazing! She came over to meet Tenchi (my dog) before we left on vacation and my dog instantly loved her. She came over and hung out with her, took her for walks each time (she did this on her own) reported exactly how she was doing, potty breaks, and I also got lots of great pictures! I’ve never been away from my dog who is 10 before and she made me feel comfortable and kept in contact so I knew she was doing well. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation. She went above and beyond and I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Akaycia!”

“Katie did an excellent job checking in on my girl, playing with her, giving her lots of scratches and pets, sending me loving pics ❤, and taking care of her needs. Puddy was a happy 😾. I was a happy. I would recommend Katie 100%.”

“Michael was the most caring, considerate, punctual, and responsible person we could have ever imagined to watch over our dog. We booked him for two days of three visits. He put such thoughtful consideration into every visit. Each visit was perfectly on time, all instructions followed, and a thorough summary of his visits were provided consistently. I’m so relieved to have found a responsible person to care for our pup. We will be rebooking with Michael again!!”

Gabby is wonderful . The dogs took to her quickly. She is punctual. We were so nervous this being our first time leaving our dogs home with a sitter …. Gabby is a definite big YES! We already have her booked for upcoming dates . As long as she’s available, she is our go to sitter for our fur babies ❤️

Dina was wonderful and gave me great peace of mind while I was away. She came once a day to check on my cat, cleaned the litter box, made sure he had food and water, and spent quality time playing with him. It was obvious she genuinely cared and wasn’t just stopping in quickly. My cat clearly loved the attention and interaction. Being able to leave him comfortably at home instead of boarding him was a huge stress reliever. I would absolutely recommend her and would gladly book with her again.

Jennifer did a few drop-ins for us in early January. We have a Sr. Golden and a puppy Golden to which she gave the best care. We did a meet and greet prior to the drop in so she could meet the pups. I was so impressed with the thoroughness of her questions to understand habits and schedules. If the pups could talk I know they would say they were overjoyed with her love and attention while she was there. Definitely recommend and would use again.
We’ve worked with Brian a handful of times over the past three years, and I still can’t reccomend him enough! He’s been the most thoughtful and detail oriented cat sitter we’ve ever experienced. We moved this year and completely changed our set up, and Brian was quick to adjust and continue to provide too if the line care to both of our cats. Knowing he’s checking on them puts us at such ease when we travel out of state, I feel like I never have to worry about the quality of their care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
