“Annalise took great care of our pup! Our pup came home exhausted from all the fun she had while she was there! Annalise was very communicative about how our pup was doing, and sent us pictures as well! We will be using her for all of our future pup-sitting needs!”

“Zero complaints. Went out of town for thanksgiving and she was amazing with our puppy. Gave me updates, bathed him before we picked him up. Highly recommend!”

“Alexis did a great job with our two german shepherd dogs. She kept in touch and sent us photos. She even sent us a photo of our shy dog snuggling with her daughter, something I would have never expected our dog to do!”
“Jasper was so comfortable at Dana’s! He looked very at home and it eased my mind while I was away to see that he was content. Jasper will definitely be back in the future :)”

“Our dog Astro has stayed with Courtney twice now. I could tell from the start that he was very comfortable in Courtney's home. She knows so much about dogs and animals, its very reassuring. She is super accommodating for drop-offs and pickups. The first time we picked-up Astro, he didn't want to leave! After this past stay he was very tired and sleepy. We could tell he had a great time playing! We will 100% use Courtney again!”

“Erica was absolutely phenomenal. She was very caring and sweet with Theodore. She kept me posted with pictures and updates everyday she had him. I cannot wait to rebook with Erica. Thank you!!!!”

“Excellent experience! Jacque was great with our dog! He stayed in constant communication with pictures and texts. Our dog was so content there and came back incredibly relaxed and happy. I Would absolutely use him again!”
“Joan and Tim are dog people. They took great care of my dog while I was out of town. Any time I checked in they were very quick to respond. I'm not sure who was on vacation. Me or my dog?! Highly recommend.”

“Sean and I refer to Michael as "Uncle Mike," because the second we walked through the door with our boys for the meet and greet - he made all four of us feel welcome and at home. Uncle Mike is a very special man with a heart of gold. He has a true gift for making dogs feel loved and comforted, and making sure they are cared for properly. While we were on vacation, he loved and took care or our boys as if they were his own. We got picture updates that melted our hearts and were completely at ease knowing they were in his care. We will GLADLY recommend him to anyone in the area for their dog sitting needs. We consider ourselves blessed to have found him.”
“Megan kept me updated on how my dogs were doing and worked very well with my schedule! Was willing to be up early in the morning and dropped the dogs off at my place late with no problem. The dogs came back happy and exhausted showing they had a fun time. I'd definitely book with her again.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Denae and Mark! Zero absolutely loves them and I can tell the love is reciprocated! I feel totally comfortable leaving my fur baby with them and will 100% us them again!”

“Took great care of our dog which was accompanied with cute pictures consistently throughout her stay. Also appreciated how they accommodated to our last minute request and was such a welcoming and sweet couple!”

“Vidya was wonderful with our 1 year old rescue dog. We got daily updates and pictures. You could tell she truly cares about the dogs she sits and makes them comfortable. She also kept our dog busy and occupied. We would highly recommend her and use her again!”

“I cannot express enough the wonderful care my dog Willow received during her vacation. I was very anxious leaving her for the first time and especially with people she did not know. I got updates and photos daily. I was able to take her familiar bedding and toys and treats. I am also great full that she got her eye med ointment every day.”

About: Hi! I am here to make your life easier with taking care of the needs of your pets. I love animals and you can count on me to take care of them like they are my own. I am happy to care for your animals on evenings and weekends. They are always welcome to stay with me at my place as well. I live in a community where there is a dog park, plenty of walking areas and lots of other dogs. I will treat your home and pets like they are my own.
About: Dogs have been a part of my family since childhood. My sweet dog, June, passed at the age of 15 last year. I have a loving home, great yard, and daily walks to share! I have experience with small to large dogs, including rescues and puppies. I work from home several days a week, and have open weekend availability to give your pet love and support while you are away. I walk everyday, even when not hosting a pet. My home is accustomed to the routine and flow of having a dog in the family, so your pet will be loved and cared for like family while you are away! I have a large yard, with very quiet neighbors around me. It’s a very peaceful, open place for animals. My previous dog loved chasing the squirrels and groundhogs! It has never been fenced because I preferred to be outside when the dog was outside, and walks are my preference. Your dog will be leashed and accompanied for safety and support, whenever I venture outside. I can crate your pet if that provides security. I have a comfy, quiet home with a large front window for watching neighbors go by, if your pet loves to lay and watch the street.
About: As a fellow pet parent, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone new. That’s why I treat every pet like part of my own little furry family—warm cuddles, silly moments, and all. Your pet’s happiness and comfort mean everything to me. I’m available for boarding pet care on the weekends mainly. Also, open to be flexible and accommodate special requests. Please message me with your questions. I have a smaller fenced yard for quick potty breaks throughout the day and take my own two doggies for regular walks in the neighborhood as well. A minimum of 2x per day, rain or snow.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
