“As all true dog lovers know, a dog is not just a pet, it is a member of the family. As such, I am very cautious about where and who I leave my dog with. As we had never had to leave our Violet with anyone, my wife and I were very worried when we had to leave our girl for almost 2 weeks. We did not feel comfortable boarding her at a kennel as we didn’t think she would respond well to that environment. So, we went to Rover to see if we could find someone we thought would be a good fit for our Violet. After reading multiple write ups on various Rover sitters, we found Erika who we thought looked like a good fit and was close to our home. At our meet and greet with Erika, my wife and I had perfect peace as we met with Erika and saw the home where Violet would be staying. Erika had a warm and inviting home, a fenced in backyard, and the perfect playmate, ( her dog Huxley) for our girl Violet. My wife and I decided immediately that this home and sitter would be the perfect fit for Violet. We were not disappointed! Erika loved our Violet as much as she loved her own dog and showered her with love and affection. She sent us daily pictures and videos of Violet and her dog playing, napping, and just having a wonderful time. She was having so much fun. We jokingly, worried that Violet wouldn’t want to come home with us after spending time with Erika. Ha Ha. In summary, any dog would be lucky to spend time with Erika. She is an amazing person and we were so happy we found her. This app only let me put in a rating of 5 stars, but if I could have, I would have put in 10 or more stars in rating her performance. We would definitely use Erika again in the future, if and when we needed to board our Violet. My only worry is that after reading my review of Erika, everyone will want to board with her and I won’t be able to have my Violet stay with her when I next need her. Ha ha.”

About: I absolutely adore animals but especially dogs, I worked at a dog kennel for two years, which has helped me to gain experience around dogs of any and all different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments/requirements. I have been dog sitting/walking and doing overnight stays for 3 years and take great pride in taking care of your pet as if they’re my own! I am working part time at a kennel right now, however my shifts are very short (5 hours max but typically 2.5-3 hours). I get my schedule on a week to week basis, so if you want to guarantee that I have the availability to watch your pup, let me know at least 2 weeks in advance and I will happily request off from work to help you out (please still feel free to reach out even if its less than 2 weeks in advance, I likely will still be able to help you out). Having such short shifts, im available for pop-ins and walks the majority of the day, however there should be no problem with staying overnight as my latest shift is from 8:15-9:15pm at the kennel for let out. I will care for your pet as if it’s my own to ensure their safety and enjoyment for the time I am with them, as well as making sure your home is safe while you are away. I will follow any and all instructions that are given to me to guarantee everything runs smoothly and that your pup has a great and safe time!

“Ayah was a blessing!! This was our first time needing a cat sitter and I was a little nervous. Mr. Winston can be a little shy and usually hides when new people come over. But Ayah was able to get him out of hiding and he actually started to greet her when she would come over. She treated him so good while we were gone and I didn't worry at all. Ayah sent very thorough and thoughtful reports with pictures after each visit. I am very satisfied with the level of care she gave Mr. Winston and he seemed to enjoy their visits as well. About: I have aided in training both of our German shorthaired pointers growing up as well as a go-to pet carer and walker when close friends and family are on vacation or cannot get away from the office. I take time out of my day to do this for my current family & friends so I am used to making the pets a priority because that time of their day I get to spend with them is very crucial to their happiness since their owner cannot be there. I take pride in being chosen to be a part of different pets lives and have a vast experience with different breeds (aussies, bulldogs, labs, and cats are just to name a few!) Looking forward to chatting soon!! Pet care fits into my routine pretty frequently. I have an hour of lunch time to myself and use that to be able to let pets out and if the owner requests to stay with them a big longer, I do & finish up some work there if possible. Getting out at 5 p.m. every day is a benefit to the pets I go let out and spend time with because the rest of the night I am free. My availability is Monday-Sunday! I care for the pets with mostly the instructions the owner gives like if they need fed or not etc but I always always always make sure to play with them, give them pets, and make sure they are used to me before anything else. If they have a fenced in yard I will play with them but in other cases when the dog is staying in my house with me, I always give them walks throughout the day as well as bring them to a cages in dog park near my house so they can roam free a bit without the leash.

I am disabled and the vets office wasn't giving me any good advice. He showed me how to get her into the tub and keep her there for 15 minutes without over stressing her. He was very impressive. He obviously loves animals,and has a talent to calm them.”

About: Hi! I’m Mary. I am a stay at home mom of 5 year old twins and a 12 year old shihtzu mix. I became a dog walker 5 days a week in September of 2024 by chance and realized how much I love it. I’ve been around animals my whole life, currently including my 8 chickens! If you’re looking for a dog walker, I walk in all weather. I can also just pop in and hang out for a bit and let them out for a potty, change litter boxes, feed, etc! I am experienced with all types of dogs, cats, and other animals and I hope to meet yours too! Currently booked for weekly walks 12-1pm on Monday Tuesday and Fridays. Only other commitment is school drop off and pickup for my twins, otherwise open! I am open to all types of animal care and have experience with elderly dogs. I have cared for big and small dogs, cats, chickens, fish, etc.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since the age of 12. I have dog sat for many relatives, and I take extremely good care of my beagle! I have plenty of free time as I recently graduated college and most of my grad school classes will be online, I also love going on walks, and would love for a furry friend to join me! My full focus is on the safety of the dog. They are like my babies. I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, happy and healthy.

About: Although I've never personally owned a dog, I have experience with pet sitting and walking dogs that belong to my freinds and family members. I am confident that my love for animals and my ability to follow instructions will ensure the safety and happiness of your dog! I work full-time Monday-Friday, however my work schedule is hybrid so it allows me to be flexible to cater to your needs! I am also free all day most Saturdays and Sundays. About: I have worked in the veterinary field for 4 years as a vet technician and now embarking on a new career within the pet field. I have fostered over 100 dogs in the last 8 years, young and old, healthy and some with medical needs. I love all fur babies big and small and look forward to this new chapter. I run a small hobby farm and am home 24/7 so available all day to relieve animals for potty breaks or playtime. With animals of my own we are sure to get them the exercise or needs met. I have a large fenced in backyard or a long tie out for those that can jump or climb fencing. I have some playful fur pets that can keep them company or a separate living room if your animal needs his or her own space.
About: My family has had dogs my whole life of different types and sizes, now I raise a mini Bernedoodle. I have taken multiple puppy training courses which I could apply to any age dog. I work in law enforcement. My schedule is flexible due to my job and I will update my availability ASAP according to my work schedule. I spoil my dog and will do the same for any that come into my home. No human food is my big rule. My Mini-Bernedoodle is just over one year now and raising her has been very rewarding. I have taken multiple training courses on training young dogs but could apply these concepts to any age dog. I have a good size yard which I am able to walk my dog around when she goes to the bathroom. My yard is 3/4 fenced in and my neighbor doesn’t have any pets.
About: I have a big house with room to run and play. I'm happy taking care of the puppies and dogs that aren't quite fully potty trained. My family dog in Florida is not spayed so I have experience with females in heat. I don't mind cleaning up messes because the house is all mine. I have 2 small dogs living with me that are very spoiled. My little Einstein has allergies so I buy him special food, shampoo, conditioner, etc to help with his itchy skin. He is a quiet little one who loves meeting new pups. My little Lola loves to cuddle and chew on her bone. You can be certain that your dog will be spoiled too. I also have 2 cats, Harley and Quinn, who have their own room where they love to play. As for me, I'm a Preschool Teacher. My work is right down the road so I come home and let my dogs out during lunch. My dogs go out every couple hours when I'm home. Spending time with my dogs and cats is probably one of my greatest joys.
