About: For years, I've walked the fields and trails along the Potomac River with a furry companion - most recently with Flannery, my family's Great Pyrenees who loved romping in Virginia Bluebell flowers and sinking her paws into mud. Animals have always been a part of my life. I've mucked stalls, herded ewes and lambs, evaded headbutting rams, cuddled pigs, milked goats, trimmed hooves, and named a farm dynasty of cats and kittens names like "Nefertiti" and "Isosceles" (after Egyptian royalty and geomotry terms). I'm available for daycare and dog-walking every day except for Sunday mornings. Your dog can stay indoor in my apartment or outdoor in the fenced-in yard, as needed. I live in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking. If additional space is needed for running and walking in the open countryside, I am also happy to take your dog on a "field trip" to my family's little farm.

My neighborhood is quiet and provides many different accesses to grassed areas of different kinds. We have a cemented sidewalk that circles the neighborhood perfect for walks. About: Hey there! My name is Porter and I'm "that person". The one that will stop talking mid-conversation to go pet a dog. My husband is used to it, but I regularly abandon him to cross the street to "hi" to whatever meatball or floof walks past me. I also nickname every dog that I've known for more than 15 minutes. Dog care isn’t a side hustle for me, it’s a genuine love. We sadly lost our sweet dog, Riggy, in early 2025, and while we plan to welcome another dog in late 2026, we truly miss having a canine presence in our home. I work from home full-time and am looking to care for just one or two clients at a time in the Leesburg area, so your dog gets calm, consistent, one-on-one attention. I’ve lived with and cared for dogs my entire life. I grew up with dachshunds and most recently owned an English Springer Spaniel, but I have experience with all sizes and personalities from Mini Schnauzers, Irish Setters, Rottweilers, Huskies, Labs, and even Great Danes. For everyone’s safety and comfort, dogs must be potty-trained and crate-trained. I ask all owners to visit our home ahead of time, and your dog will be the only dog in my care during their stay-no overcrowding, no chaos. I also use a detailed intake questionnaire to make sure I understand your dog’s routine, preferences, and needs. At this time, I’m unable to accept dogs who require medical care. I offer in-home daycare and boarding in Leesburg, VA, and I’d love to meet you and your pup. If you’re looking for a calm, attentive, dog-obsessed sitter who treats your dog like family, I can’t wait to connect! I work for remotely from my home in Leesburg, VA. Dogs receive as many potty breaks as are needed, but I usually take a new dog out every 1-2 hours until they're more comfortable in my home. They receive 3 daily walks - the morning long walk (30min), the 10min lunch walk, and the evening 15-20min walk. Throughout the day, it's snuggles, meals, whatever is needed. If I need to leave the home, dogs will be crated for their and my home's safety, since it's a new place. Dogs that have stayed with me for multiple visits are allowed to hang outside the crate unattended. Owners must visit our home prior to any booking being confirmed - this gives us all a chance to know each other and sure we're comfortable. Owners must complete a questionnaire so I can understand your dog's comforts, discomforts, likes, preferences, etc. This helps ensure a comfortable and safe stay. Dogs are walked on a "double leash", I will use two leashes connected to different colors/harnesses. Dogs outside their environment are much more likely to spook, a double leash ensures on a visit stay ensures that if a dog spooks and a collar breaks or slips, there is a backup to keep us tethered. Safe stay are my utmost priority - I treat your dog the way I'd want my pet treated!

About: I am very great with animals. I have a little homestead on my own. I have nine years experience as a vet assistant in the medical field in three years of dog grooming. I’m a hairstylist locally so my schedule is very open. I visit my home multiple times a day and I have older children that will be home with the animals as well. At our house or dogs are crate trained, cats are free range. They have access to water and food all the time we go outside a lot and we have lots of dog treats and toys to play.
