“Abigail is so great that we booked her for reoccurring dog walks throughout the week. She is trustworthy, reliable and takes good care of my dog for his afternoon walks while I'm at work by tracking his potty habits, treats and refills bowl with fresh water. We are very happy to have found her. It's such a relief knowing that our dog is well taken care.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for animals and my genuine passion for their well-being. Since I was 5 years old, I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, fish, and more, giving me a strong understanding of different pets' needs and personalities. In the past 2 years I have been working at a dog wellness/ grooming center, where I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. I also previously volunteered with the Elmwood Park Zoo as well as a local cat shelter which helped deepen my knowledge of animal care and behavior. I'm comfortable caring for puppies & kittens , adult dogs & cats , and senior pets, and I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and following each pet's unique routine. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, playtime, affection, and care while their owners are away. I now work remotely, so I am super flexible with my hours , I’m pretty much available anytime. (with notice if it’s going to be late ) Your pet's safety and comfort come first. Working in dog wellness has given me experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I provide reliable care, follow routines closely, and treat every dog as if they were my own.

About: I used to have a Shih-tzu named Eris who was a very sweet girl with lots of energy. I currently look after a French Bulldog from time to time who I absolutely love. I like working with small dogs/lap dogs but I can work with bigger dogs too. I work from home, and I have plenty of time to play with your dog or take them on walks. I spend most of my day ar my desk, and I would welcome the extra encouragement to go outside and take the dog for a walk. I live with two other family members who love dogs, so your dog will never go without attention. If your dog is small, then I will happily let them sit on my bed while I work, and I'll reach over to give them pets whenever they want. Larger dogs are welcome to lie in a dog bed by my desk, or downstairs on the couch with me.
“Megan has been wonderful. Our dogs are energetic and she has been very patient with them. I appreciate that Megan is on time and leaves me with detailed information after every visit.”

About: My pet care experience goes far beyond simply loving animals. I have cared for cats, dogs, fish, horses, small mammals, and wildlife, and I recently earned my M.S. in Wildlife Science. I have worked as a dog walker, a pet/house/plant sitter, an animal research technician caring for mice, rats, rabbits, and dogs, and as a veterinary assistant at a cat and dog vaccine clinic. I also have experience drawing blood and administering medication to a variety of domestic and wildlife animals, so I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and paying close attention to each animal’s needs. I am very much a cat person, too, and I understand that cats have different needs than dogs, including patience, quiet companionship, respect for boundaries, and careful attention to subtle changes in behavior. I am patient, reliable, and attentive to animal behavior, and I enjoy helping pets feel safe, whether they need a good walk, playtime, calm companionship, or plenty of cuddles. I currently work remotely part-time, which allows me to maintain a very flexible schedule for pet care. I am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, pet sitting, and plant care throughout the week. While I am not able to provide boarding in my own home, I am happy to provide overnight care in your home so your pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety, trust, and consistency by carefully following each client’s instructions and keeping pets in their familiar routines as much as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and household rules are handled with care. I also pay close attention to each pet’s body language, comfort level, and behavior, and I provide calm, respectful care that helps them feel secure while their owner is away.
About: Hey all! Wonderful to meet you. My name is Nicole and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in North Wales, PA and have been providing pet care to my community since I have been able to walk around the block by myself! I have always had family dogs of my own. A Shetland Sheepdog named Shelby, and we still have our Nala bear with us who is a rescue mix, and we have had her since I was a junior in high school. I've branched out over the years. I used to volunteer at special equestrians, taking care of the horses and their stalls. My first job out of high school was at a pet store. I provided care to all the animals even down to the mice. I administered medications orally, cleaned their living spaces, and fed them. I own a fish tank, and I used to own a bearded dragon. I have provided cat care as well. I have a lot of experience in and outside of Rover. When I lived in Philly about 7 years ago I signed up for Rover and had watched quite a few dogs through the app as well as watching dogs just through recommendations. I moved out and ended up deactivating my account. I decided to come back on here, and I am looking forward to meeting you! I currently work 5 hours 5 days a week from 12:30-5:30. We can discuss more details on care if you are interested I would love to have a meet and greet before service starts so we can go over exactly how you’d like me to care for your pet.
“Kelly is the best!! She took such good care of our pup while we were away, always checking in and giving us updates on how he did. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be working with her again in the future!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals through volunteer work at a shelter, frequently pet sitting for family while they were away, and a lifelong love for animals. I’m currently employed as a per diem food service worker, I only work 3-4 days out of the week and rotating weekends. I make it work on the days I am off. I am committed to respecting and adhering to your specific preferences for your pets, ensuring their comfort and care within their own environment, as I am unable to offer pet sitting in my home due to my dogs’ incompatibility with other dogs.

“Booked Randy at the last minute due to previously scheduled sitter cancelling. Randy was very attentive to Finley & Stella and was very prompt in all communication. Would 100% recommend and book again.”

“Very accommodating! Gave less than 24 hour notice that I needed my old gal walked and he made it happen. Very communicative and great pictures. Will definitely use Jason in the future!!”

About: I’m a lifelong pet lover who grew up in a home filled with cats and dogs—I’ve always loved cuddling and caring for them. My father was a veterinarian at a pet hospital in Korea, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals for nearly 10 years. This included administering medications and caring for pets with special needs. I also have experience volunteering at a pet shelter and working with a rescue team as part of my pre-med activities. Currently working in the medical field, I bring both compassion and practical care skills to every animal I look after. I’m available at home all day on weekends and can provide attentive care, including home visits to feed, cuddle, and spend quality time with your pets. I’m also able to drive to clients’ homes and offer home boarding if needed, ensuring your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. 🦮🐈⬛With over 10 years of experience at a veterinary hospital—where I shadowed my father, a veterinarian—I’m confident in caring for pets with special needs, administering medications, and understanding animal behavior. I currently have one cat who gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs, as she previously lived with dogs too. 🐱I’ve had my cat, Sibong, for four years and have never missed a day of dedicated play—15 minutes, four times a day. I’m especially skilled at keeping cats active, engaged, and happy. 🐶While I’m a cat person at heart, I’m equally passionate about dogs. I volunteered for three years at the Philadelphia Animal Shelter, where I gained extensive experience walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments. This experience taught me how to read canine body language, handle various behavioral needs, and provide affectionate care. I enjoy walking, cuddling, and spending quality time with dogs to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

I highly recommend Paulina to anyone looking for a dependable walker or sitter. During our two years working with Paulina, she has proven herself to be a great fit for my nervous pup. She has been so considerate of my pup’s needs, such as slowing down after she resumed walking her after my pup recovered from injuring her hip. She also adjusted her walking pace and route to keep my pup safe depending on the weather and different neighborhoods we’ve lived in. When things have come up in the past, she has always notified me with plenty of time for me to adjust my plans. She has also been respectful of my home the times that she has stayed over to care for my pup and kitties. I’m sad she won’t be walking my pup on a weekly basis anymore after her recent move, but look forward to hearing from her as a friend in the future. It’s been so fun getting to know her these last two years. She’s a truly wonderful woman who is smart, caring, and dependable. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy walker and sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
