“What a fantastic experience! I’ve never had to leave my cats before when family couldn’t take care of them, and Mildred was the best person I could have hoped for when it came to leaving them for the weekend - she did her best to be sure she met both cats, even though one is very people-shy, and in every update I could see Willow getting more comfortable with Mildred around. I was so excited and impressed that the first time they met, she had Willow playing with her before the meeting was over! I really don’t think I could have found anyone better. Pickles would get his love at the start of the visit and then Mildred would play with both cats, so much that I think they both of my slightly overweight cats slimmed down a bit just from the exercise! I came home and they’ve been asking me to play almost constantly - they clearly missed us, but there were no signs of the stress I usually notice after I’ve been away, and no new bald patches on anyone even after a recent bout of stress-grooming after our move. Very communicative, lovely with our animals, made sure I knew that if weather caused issues with getting home on time I could reach out to make sure the cats weren’t left alone. Truly a wonderful experience and we’re so grateful for the care she gave our kitties.”

About: I am currently in my undergrad on the pre-vet track, but when I am not studying I have worked as a vet assistant for 4 years, volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center for 3 months, and taken care of family members pets. I have also been surrounded by my own pets my whole life and been involved in their care. I am currently a full time student, but I am available most afternoons and mornings! My schedule is pretty set for each week, but there is room for flexibility! I have had many experiences with nervous dogs at the animal hospital and know how to calm them down and make them comfortable if necessary. I have also dealt with some aggression in dogs, and am very aware of my actions.

About: We got our family dog, Lucy, when I was just 3 years old, and I’ve grown up taking care of her. She’s now 16 years old, and in the last couple years I’ve taken on most of the responsibilities: walking and feeding. I check for ticks daily, bathe her monthly, and schedule & take her to all vet + grooming appointments. I also take care of my Aunt’s dog, Kasper, along with their cat, Sammy, when their family goes on vacation! I take pride in knowing that they feel at ease when their pets are in my hands. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m available most weekdays, and my schedule is flexible. I currently live in a small apartment, so coming to you and your pets would be preferable. I can simply stop by for check ins to feed and walk your pet. I can also stay with your dog for most of the day, and even pet sit overnight! While you’re away, I’d love to send photo and video updates, so that you can see your baby is happy, healthy, relaxed, and thriving (despite them missing you dearly!)
