This weekend, spend a day out and about in Boston without leaving your dog at home. I’ve taken the liberty of planning an entire day—from breakfast to happy hour—so you and your dog can go out on the town together. Explore dog-friendly Boston in style!
Read on to learn how to go out in Boston without leaving your dog behind…
Start with breakfast at Henrietta’s Table. I recommend the red flannel hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Your furry pal can sit right next to you in the outdoor seating area as you enjoy your breakfast.
Next, head over to the Newbury street area and browse stores like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Crate and Barrel, Louis Boston, and Moxie for clothes, housewares, and accessories. Shop for it all with your dog by your side!
Take a lunch break at Chipotle. The famed Mexican grill is dog-friendly at their Newbury street location. Get delicious healthy food, fast, all without leaving your four legged family member.
Now its time to treat your dog like you’ve been treating yourself. Walk over to Fish & Bone to shop for on-trend accessories like leashes, collars, gourmet treats and more. After you spent the morning shopping for human accessories, it’s only fair that fido gets to indulge, too.
Now that it’s almost happy hour, it’s time to socialize. The Carleton Court dog park in Back Bay is well maintained and open during daylight hours. It’s a smaller dog park, which provides you and your dog with a more intimate setting for socialization. The park is covered in cushy tennis court-like material, good for your dog’s joints.
Finally, it’s human happy hour time. Call your friends, tell them to bring their dogs, and head over to The Liberty Hotel. Sit in the dog-friendly lobby area and order off the all day bar menu, featuring deliciousness like yellowtail crudo, veal meatball sliders, and steamed mussels.
