About: I was born and raised on a family farm. From the time I was born I have been riding in tractors and taking care of all sorts of animals. Growing up we always had dogs and cats in our home. I have always loved rescuing strays and rehabilitating injured animals of all shapes and sizes. I now have three fur babies of my very own and they are my life! If you entrust your pet with me I will not take it lightly as it is a deep honor and privilege. I love spoiling animals and giving them all the love. If I ever won the lottery I would adopt all of the oldest animals at the shelter and take them to my pet sanctuary. Please consider booking me so that I can continue to stay at home with my human baby as much as possible! 🐾 I am very part time right now since I stay home with my little one. I pick up evening shifts here and there but I am fairly free in the evenings once my husband gets home from work. Let me know what you need and we can work out a routine! I typically work with children and for that reason I understand the importance of trust, flexibility, and kindness. I will always uphold your privacy and I promise to do my best in every situation. I like to call myself an “over communicator” so I will always share details on your pet and I’m pretty good at taking pictures of fur babies too!

About: Hi there! My name is Anissa (Nis), I am a reliable, patient, loving, safety-first dog walker and animal sitter based in Frederick, MD and Martinsburg, WV. Whether your dog needs a brisk midday walk, a trip around the park, or your animals require an attentive drop-in visit, I’m here to help burn off that extra energy and provide peace of mind for you while I care for your best friend(s), as well as your home! As a current Dachshund mom of 2 anxious angels with very specific needs, a cat mom, and mom of many other babies that I loved before them, I am comfortable with all sizes/breeds, anxiety levels, specific/complex needs, and prioritize positive reinforcement, calm handling, and showing the same kindness that I would provide for my own animals. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies/ferrets/bunnies/other small furry friends to senior dogs needing slow strolls, patience, and joint care. When I care for your babies, you will receive a detailed report, and photos during/after every single outing, as well as anything else that would make you feel more comfortable while your children are in my care. If you are looking for someone to love your family members like their own and ease any completely understandable anxiety you may have when trusting someone with a piece of your heart, please send me a message to chat or schedule a meet-and-greet! I currently work in Frederick from 8-4 M-F with flexibility to step away and return as needed during the work day. I have full availability on the weekends as I do not have any current commitments. I am flexible throughout the Frederick, MD area at any time, as well as house-sitting, and visits before/after 8am-4pm in the following locations: Martinsburg, WV Hagerstown, MD Shepherstown, WV Williamsport, MD as I have a unique situation and am able to stay/commute from any of those locations. When caring for your animals in your home, I strive to keep their normal routine, ensure safety, and maintain the household according to specific owner instructions in hopes to provide the same peace of mind that I require when leaving my own babies under the care of someone else.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Zullinger
I can’t say enough good things about Abbey. From the very beginning, she was communicative, and followed through on all things pre-visit. Prior to meet and greet, she made time to learn my 4 dogs names from pics. When we met she named them all…telling them apart even though they all look nearly identical. This was amazing to me!! She has a great vibe and my dogs really enjoyed her :) It gave me such peace of mind knowing my doggies were in capable, attentive hands. Abbey shared visit pics and they all looked perfectly content and at ease. Instructions carried out as discussed with no issues. When I returned, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for—always the best sign. I would absolutely recommend Abbey to anyone looking for a dependable, kind, and professional sitter. 5 BIG Stars!!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
