About: I've been surrounded by animals, in particular cats, my entire life. At one point, we had a household full of animals ranging from a rambuctious German Shepherd to a teeny tiny Leopard Gecko and Corn Snake. We've had pets for a long time, and they always gave us structure. They are and have always been a part of our family, and we tend to take care more of them than ourselves. I live in an apartment now, but I am willing to come to the owner's home for daily walks, pet/house sitting if they're at work or on vacation, play with the animals and give them exercise, and also available to stay overnight if needed.

About: I've always been around animals. Whether it was family pets or animals I showed in FFA, I've always had animals near and dear to my heart. Currently I'm working part time and have lots of time to devote to your fur babies. I'm available for house sitting, drop in visits, or dog walking (they can help me get my 10,000 steps in) I understand all things routine involving fur babies, I can walk them when needed, play and take care of them so you have peace of mind while you're out.

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. To me they aren't just pets, but an extension of family. I am willing to help in your home with check - ins, walking and feeding. I am available to help with all pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, amphibians, & fish). My hours of availability are 8 am - 12 am Sun - Sat most weeks for care in your home and / or walking / check in services. I'm a homemaker and pet care is a top priority for me now, as my children are grown. My schedule is pretty open unless I have previously scheduled appointments. I prefer 48 hours or more notice for bookings. Must have a meet & greet to go over your pet care needs and how to access your home before first booking. While at your home, I will care for your pet(s) as we have discussed during the meet & greet. I enjoy walking leash trained dogs, playing with them and cuddles as well as head boops & cuddles with cats too. About: I am a Psychology and Social Work student in my masters and I love animals. I specialize in animals who are seniors, or have special needs. Specifically, animals that require gentle care and a calm demeanor. I have 2 cats, fish, and an aquatic turtle. I have and cared for pit bulls, boxers, labs, Jack Russells, and a mini pincher. I have also cared for parrots and chickens. I am responsible, detail oriented, and patient. About: Hello, I’m Kirsten. I have been actively dog sitting for the last 5 years in and around Washington county and Frederick county. As well as the surrounding areas. (Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) As of September 2026 we do have a newborn. I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I can work from home most days which allows a very flexible schedule. I am willing to accommodate for what ever needs are present and will make sure your pet is well taken care of. About: My Experience My experience caring for dogs goes back well before I started doing this full time. In high school, I walked dogs for people in my community to earn extra money, so getting paid to grab a leash and spend time with dogs is actually something I’ve come back to years later. Since then, I’ve continued gaining hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels through years of owning and caring for dogs myself. I’m comfortable with everything from a dog that wants to stop and investigate every mailbox to a large, energetic dog that genuinely needs to put some miles in. What started as a way to make money in high school has developed into something I take much more seriously today. Pet care is now my full-time focus, and I approach it professionally—learning each dog’s routine, keeping individual notes, communicating with owners, and working to build a relationship with every dog I regularly walk. I don’t just want experience walking dogs. I want experience knowing your dog—what they enjoy, what they avoid, how they communicate, and what makes them excited when I show up at the door. I especially welcome recurring clients who want to make exercise a consistent part of their dog’s routine. Because this is my full-time focus, I can accommodate regular weekday walks, multiple walks per week, longer walks, high-energy dogs, and owners who work overnight or unusual schedules. I also understand that life doesn’t always happen on a schedule, which is why I accept ASAP requests whenever possible. If I receive an alert at 2:00 AM, for example, my goal is to be at your pet’s door by 4:00 AM. ASAP requests are always subject to my current schedule, location, and travel time, so immediate arrival can’t be guaranteed, but I aim to respond to ASAP requests within two hours of receiving the alert. Weather doesn’t automatically mean a canceled walk either. Rain, snow, or shine—hot or cold—I’m prepared to get outside. Dogs still need exercise, bathroom breaks, mental stimulation, and attention when the weather isn’t perfect. Safety always comes first, so extreme heat, dangerous cold, thunderstorms, ice, or other hazardous conditions may mean adjusting our distance, route, pace, or time outdoors rather than putting your dog at unnecessary risk. I also leave enough time between scheduled clients so your dog’s visit doesn’t feel rushed. Consistency is important to me, and regular walks give me the opportunity to learn your dog’s personality, routine, favorite places, preferred pace, and individual needs. Whether it’s 2 PM or 2 AM, a beautiful sunny afternoon or a snowy morning, my goal is to be someone you can depend on—and someone your dog gets excited to see because they know it’s time to go explore. Safety, Trust & Environment: Your dog’s safety will always come first, but I also believe dogs deserve to experience the world outside. Rain, snow, or shine—hot or cold—I’m prepared to get them outside and moving. I’ll always adjust our pace, distance, and route to your dog and the conditions rather than automatically canceling a walk because the weather isn’t perfect. Throughout every walk, I pay close attention to your dog’s body language, breathing, energy level, paws, traffic, other animals, and our surroundings. On hot days, that means watching pavement temperatures, prioritizing shade and water, and recognizing signs of overheating. In cold or snowy conditions, I’ll monitor their paws and comfort and follow any instructions you have for coats, boots, or other gear. Weather won’t scare me away, but unsafe conditions will change the plan. Extreme heat, severe storms, dangerous ice, or conditions that could put your dog at risk may mean a shorter outdoor walk with the remaining time devoted to safe indoor attention and stimulation. Trust matters just as much. You’re trusting me with a member of your family and, in many cases, access to your home. I’ll respect your property, follow your instructions, communicate with you, and make sure your dog is safe and secure before I leave. I also want dogs to have the opportunity to be dogs. I’ll give them time to sniff, explore, investigate their surroundings, and experience what’s happening around them instead of treating every walk like a race. Every dog is different, and I’ll learn yours. Rain, snow, or shine. Hot or cold. My goal is to become someone you trust—and someone your dog gets excited to see walking through the door.

About: I grew up caring, training and assisting in raising German Shepherds since I was 5 yrs old. I trained my first German Shepherd at age 11 and placed second in obedience and showmanship competition. Have also grown up with having a cat. Been in charge of taking care of neighbors dogs, cats, horses and cows since I was 12. Throughout the years I have taken care of dogs from birth to elderly. I also have one year of experience working at a vet clinic and have been a certified barn manager (I didn't pay to renew my certification). Thus, I am familiar with various care and prevention strategies for all kinds of animals. I am currently an occupational therapist; thus, I am mainly available on the weekends with a semi-flexible schedule. Reach out to me and we will discuss the details and see if there is something that can work for both of us. If I am unavailable for the weekend, I try to have it updated on my calendar. In taking dogs on walks I am careful to avoid walking near other dogs and observe surroundings that may cause an issue. I also pay attention to behavior factors such if the dog is showing beginning signs of getting hot or tired.

About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet(s)! I love being and walking outside and having an animal companion to join me is always a pleasure. We have a large back porch and yard for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
