“Adriana was fantastic! We have two dogs, and one is still working through some fear of new people from her time before us. We had a long time sitter that recently moved away and we're very nervous about introducing someone new. Adriana took the time to come meet us and our dogs prior to the requested service and was very patient with both of our dogs. She spent the entire visit outside playing ball and letting our dogs run even on a cold, rainy day. We will be booking with her again!”

“Katie was absolutely amazing! She had great communication throughout her stay, followed all of my instructions perfectly, and quickly became someone I felt completely comfortable and confident trusting with my animals. Most importantly, my girls absolutely loved her! 🐾💜 Katie has such great energy—she’s personable, kind, and incredibly easy to talk to. During her sit with Opal and Rory, the Rover app was being a little challenging, but Katie went above and beyond to make sure I knew she was there and that my girls were happy and okay despite the technical difficulties. That extra communication meant so much to me! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I will absolutely be booking with Katie again in the very near future! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, communicative, and genuinely wonderful with animals. 🐶🐱💜”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and caretaker! My home has always been filled with fluff or paw prints. I've cared for various breeds of dogs, especially larger breeds (50+ lbs). I grew up with multiple pit bulls in my home, which I had the responsibility of caring for. I adapt easily to any environment; maintaining a fur-baby's daily routine is no issue for me. When working with senior fur-babies I accommodate for any and all needs of the animal at hand. I've handled rowdy kittens and puppies, as well as tired elders. I've been caring for animals my entire life, especially dogs and cats. I'm currently an online college student, so my schedule is very flexible with plenty of time to spend with fur-babies. Although I am capable of handling gentle giants, I was injured recently so my partner works with me for larger dog breeds (55+lbs.). I ensure the care and safety of every animal in my care at all times. Adapting to new routines is no issue for me. I have helped with puppies that are still being potty trained as well as kittens that need help feeding. I have handled elderly dogs as well, providing them with the utmost respect and care. I'm well informed on how to handle pets as well as houses. I'm here to help ease your life; providing enrichment to your fur-babies and ensuring their routine is uninterrupted.
“Isabel did an excellent job with my German shepherds. My dogs felt comfortable around her, she was very attentive and communicative throughout each drop in visit. Would highly recommend her!”

“For the first time in 5 years since having our dog, we both had to be away for 5 days. Crux was a rescue dog with severe abuse issues whom we adopted from a rescue shelter. We booked with Alexandria. She was fantastic!! She cared for him with physical needs like food and water. She played with him and took him on long walks on our mountain property. She spent time with him out on the patio. She met his emotional issues. Due to his huge shedding issues, she dry mopped our floors. More so she instilled trust with a dog who had huge issues. There is no one better to trust care for your pet.”

“Christina sent daily updates to let us know how Zoey was doing. Everything seemed to go great while we were gone and when we came home everything was in place and Zoey was a happy girl. Thanks Christina!”

“Emily was fantastic. She was timely and communicated everything. She went above and beyond in caring for my dog Nala while I was away via Drop-Ins. Thank you so much Emily for giving me invaluable peace of mind while I was away! Would book again and again :)”

“Danny did a great job checking on calamity and mikey. Even though they hid when he came, as I knew they would, I could tell they were well taken care of while I was gone. I will use him in the future when I need to go away.”

“Jasmine has been wonderful. She does all the things that a Rover sitter is supposed to do. She loves my dog and two cats. She takes cute pics of them. She's on time. She's reliable. She's trustworthy.”

“Amber is a life saver! She is super flexible, responds quickly and is very considerate about how we raise and train our pup. We have used Amber’s services several times this month and we’re very happy with the care she provides. Boba is always very excited (and relieved) when she visits!”

“Abbie did a wonderful job looking after our two cats. She followed all of our instructions and somehow even got our one very shy cat to gladly interact with her. Definitely will be using again!”

About: life-long dog owner (i currently have four of my own!) who works from home and is available to walk your babies and drop in to feed, let them out, walk, and play with them while youre away! I admittedly prefer dogs to people and will treat your furry children with love and care, and as if they were my own!! ♡ let me know how i can help you out! love, mandy I work full-time from home, but am salaried so i am able to come and go as needed. I can walk, feed, and play with your dog(s) whenever suits your schedule- just let me know what works best! If pet care in my home is needed, I have a fenced in yard and four very friendly dogs- 2 dachshunds, a chihuahua, and a mutt (labradoodle-blue heeler-sheltie-corgie) who love to play.
About: I've been surrounded by animals, in particular cats, my entire life. At one point, we had a household full of animals ranging from a rambuctious German Shepherd to a teeny tiny Leopard Gecko and Corn Snake. We've had pets for a long time, and they always gave us structure. They are and have always been a part of our family, and we tend to take care more of them than ourselves. I live in an apartment now, but I am willing to come to the owner's home for daily walks, pet/house sitting if they're at work or on vacation, play with the animals and give them exercise, and also available to stay overnight if needed.
“Arnie is incredible! He came over a few days before my first booking to meet my 2 dogs. My senior dog warmed right up to him, and my 3 year old rescue even allowed some scratches and to be held. I was able to tell they both felt safe and secure with Arnie around. My senior needs a little extra help up and down the stairs, and I’m still working on leash confidence with the 3 year old. These things didn’t faze Arnie or stand out as a problem. He was ready to tackle them head on. This made me feel safe and secure knowing my babies would be in goods hands with him. I’m so thrilled that Arnie will be a buddy for my pups, and give me some peace of mind when I have a long work day!”
About: I am a Psychology and Social Work student in my masters and I love animals. I specialize in animals who are seniors, or have special needs. Specifically, animals that require gentle care and a calm demeanor. I have 2 cats, fish, and an aquatic turtle. I have and cared for pit bulls, boxers, labs, Jack Russells, and a mini pincher. I have also cared for parrots and chickens. I am responsible, detail oriented, and patient. Meaning you can give me very detailed instructions and l will read and follow them even if you think they’re silly ;). I currently work as a care giver during the day on weekends part-time. I also have an internship I’m working at during the week, so my schedule will be changing soon when that ends, I will have much more availability. Right now, Mondays and Thursdays I am completely available! In the evenings and nights as well as mornings before 9am I am also available every day. I will feed, walk, and play with your dog or cat depending on what activities they enjoy. I like to take long walks and I don't mind taking animals with me for a ride or to the park. I will follow instructions exactly. I will give snuggles, baths, and clean up messes as well if needed.

Catie was phenomenal with my two pups who absolutely adore her! She came twice a day to check on them while I was on vacation and spoiled them while I was away. I highly recommend her as a sitter if you want and need someone to care for your fur babies. She is the BEST!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
