About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. About: I have always been a HUGE dog lover. I was raised with dogs and there has never been a time where my family has not had a dog. In 2020 I started my own pet sitting business back home and accumulated over 60 clients. My business offers walks, drop-ins, training, overnight care, baths, and more! I have taken care of puppies, teens, middle-aged, and senior dogs. I have taken care of dogs with special needs and medical issues like diabetes. I started riding horses when I was 7 years old so there is no dog too big or too small! I take care of each and every dog like they are my own and I absolutely love my job. I cannot wait to meet your pup(s)! I am currently a full time student with a very flexible schedule. On Monday's and Wednesday's I have a hybrid class that rarely meets face to face, this class takes place 2pm-3:15pm. Tuesdays I have class from 11am-12:25pm and Thursday's 9am-12:15pm. Friday's I do not have class. I go to the gym once a day but that time of that is fit our my school schedule and working schedule. I offer pet care in the client's home. At the moment my roommate and I have 2 dogs one just being a few months old so I don't offer pet care in my apartment until he is older.

About: I have a dog myself (4 years old) and I understand how hard it is to find someone to take care of your dogs while you’re away. I would absolutely love if you trust me to watch your babies and I will send you lots of pictures and updates if you’re comfortable with that. I’m a graduate student at Appalachian State and live super close to campus so I’m at my apartment most of the day when I’m not in class. I am quite flexible, I do live in an apartment so a lot of what I’ll do with be out and about or playing with my dog if they’re good together. I am available to watch them often and I’m the only one on the home so you don’t have to worry about them running away for any reason.

About: I have spent time working in doggy daycare’s, and have plenty of experience, raising my own dog, link. Whatever you think your animal needs, they will get that from me because you know your animal best. I am a full-time grad student, so my schedule can be limited, but I will only take listings that I am fully able to do; so you will never have to worry that your pet will get full accommodation I am a full-time school counseling student at Appalachian State University. Although I love working with kids, pets will always hold a special place in my heart. Your animal would get the same Care that any student of mine would get.

I work part time and would have lots of time to care for your babies. My dog and I have a daily routine and would love to add your pet into our day. I have a large fenced in yard with lots of room to play. I would make sure to ask boundaries about your home and pet, to meet the pets needs to your expectations.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. I recently retired and miss having a pup in my life. I’m available and flexible for daily walks as well as able to provide boarding in my home. I am very attentive and loving toward all fur babies. I’m a firm believer that exercise and interactive play is essential in developing a bond with each pup.

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals since I was 10 years old! Horses, chickens, cows, donkeys, fish, hamsters, goats, sheep, rats, kittens, dogs, etc! I am happy to help with any pet needs! I have recently graduated from college and am working part time working towards full time! Pet sitting and care fit well into my routine as I typically work 4 hour shifts at a time leaving great time to check in with pets! My weeks are flexible just reach out if you have any questions! I try to have what is best for my animals including fenced in yards and proper food, cages, and medicines. Although I do not offer boarding, I will make absolutely certain your animals stay safe in my care!

About: I absolutely love animals and always treat them like they are my own. Nothing makes me happier than contributing to an animal’s or other people’s happiness. I am free to take care of pets whenever I don’t have class. About: Growing up I have been surrounded by pets and responsibilities surrounding their care. From a young age, I have looked after my own animals as well as the dogs in my neighborhood. In my teens I worked part-time at a doggy day care where I gained valuable skills in animal handling and behavior. I worked with dogs big and small, social and reactive. My background has provided me with the knowledge to work with all kinds of dogs. I am certified in pet CPR and have a pup of my own! I’m currently working in a research lab over the summer which takes up about 6 hours of my week. Luckily, my lab work is flexible so I can work around your schedule to help accommodate your pups needs! I am an outdoorsy person who love to go on walks, especially if I have a furry friend accompanying me. I can go any distance to fit your dogs needs. I am experienced with leash pullers as well as reactive dogs. Because I am certified in pet first aid and worked in a high paced doggy daycare, I know how to react fast. I am able to treat wounds and read dog behavior very well. Your dogs safety is my top priority.

About: I have always had dogs in the house, from old cranky dogs to puppies. I currently have a chocolate lab who was 8 months old when I got him so we have been through it all together. I learned a lot more about pets while working at a pet nutrition shop. I love pets and I appreciate when they are in compassionate hands. It's easy to be mean to a little animal when they make you mad but they don't learn from that, they just get scared. They actually thrive when you show them praise for doing things correctly. It’s all about good energy. I love sharing some knowledge as well as learning. I also would love to take your dog for a walk or run. Excercise is so important to a healthy dog!

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have been pet sitting for the same family for the last 5 years since their jobs and family require them to leave often, but they want to make sure their animals never feel neglected by this. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just being around pets of all types and sizes. Hello! I am currently a farmer turned student, recently back in college after a few years as an organic vegetable farmer. Now I’m balancing the demands of finishing my degree in evolutionary biology with my love of animals, plants, yoga, and simply being in awe of nature. Petsitting allows me a flexible job while I’m in school and gives me a chance to connect with the community in another way. I love the chance to meet everyone’s furry companions & learn more about people outside of my daily rhythms. I am an avid cyclist and hiker, so am happy to take along any pet that's down to adventure at the nearby trails. I’ve watched houses with up to 7 dogs at a time, so I’m very comfortable with multiple animals and giving each one the attention they need.

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a full time potter who just opened an art gallery in downtown Blowing Rock. I run the gallery Wednesday-Sat 11-5 and Sunday 1-5. Beyond those hours, I can make myself available to spend time with your pet(s) either at my home or yours, as frequently as is needed. If your pet needs a potty break midway through my shift, I may be able to accommodate by having a friend cover my gallery mid day to run to let them out. Otherwise, I’ll just be sure they get a good thorough walk before and after my shift. I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals.
