“Emily was fantastic again taking care of my pup for daycare. She sent adorable pictures and videos throughout the day and did a report card. She is very reliable and communicative, and I know my pup is loved and safe with her. You can’t put a price on that!”

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life for over 50 years. I was so lucky to grow up in a home that was the local Noah’s Arc. This childhood formed my commitment and love to animals. About 20 years ago, I decided to enter the world of pure bred dogs and have been an avid exhibitor and breeder of Pointers and Ridgebacks focused always on good temperaments and health. I love dogs and really believe it’s important that each animal I care for, feels at home, comfortable, pampered, exercised and loved. I have 4 dogs that are super casual and it has been very easy to bring animals into my home. I will only take 1 or 2 dogs at a time, as I want to be able to provide the best care possible for them. Your animals are treated as though they are mine and the care and love they will experience can only be exceeded by you. It’s always stressful for animals to be away from their families, so the more I can do to relieve this stress, the better I feel. I always tease my clients that their dogs may come home a little spoiled. I’m very much available all day really to take care of the dogs as my schedule is very flexible. In addition my brother lives with me and he helps me take care of the dogs. There is always a person at our house while your dog will be visiting. I also offer a military discount for those that have or are serving our beautiful country. I do not work outside of the home, which provides me with a lot of flexibility to provide dedicated care to your pets all day. I think it's important dogs that stay at my house receive the same amount of attention as they would at home and as my dogs do. I also believe it's important not to disrupt their daily routine, so I work closely with owners to understand each Dog needs.
“Clarissa was great! She was so easy to work with and gave us several updates with photos throughout the day. She took wonderful care of our dog, including administering eye drops. We will definitely use her again as a pet sitter. Added bonus- she has a super sweet dog of her own that kept our dog great company 😁”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I foster and volunteer and love it. I have the sweetest pup named Sadie who loves all people and animals. I do work part time and have the option to let them out several times a day after working hours. They usually sleep with me at night unless they have another preference. I have a large walking trail that I walk my dog Sadie on everyday after working and she enjoys playing in the yard and fetching
“We have one tired pup! Thank you so much for looking after our dog. It was great to have him in a home where he got personal attention and played with another dog versus a commercial kennel. I would highly recommend Kristin and her husband Daniel.”

“Ollie had a great time! Brent sent pics and was a great communicator! If we're back in Lexington, we will definitely have Ollie stay here again!”

“I’m so glad to have found sitters that vibe with my dog so well! Ashton & Jenison have been nothing short of fantastic for my pup who has a ton of considerations. We will definitely be rebooking any time we have a need!”

About: We would love to take care of your furry family member while you're away! We will make sure he has a marvelous time with all of us. My husband and I grew up on farms in Kentucky and have loved dogs all our lives. Reagan is sweet and smart, but mostly keeps to herself unless your dog wants to engage with her. We have a small fenced yard, and there are lots of walking areas nearby. We would take your dog to the dog park with us around the corner if you like, or we can head over to the nearby park! We do have a cat named George and a young daughter, so it is important that your furry friend be comfortable around both. George mostly keeps to himself, so as long as your dog doesn't chase or bark at him, things should go fine! Why I love dog sitting We've loved dogs our entire lives. We both grew up with dogs and firmly believe that they are a blessing to us! About my yard We do have a small yard! My experience administering medication Yes, we are comfortable administering medication. I work from home so am happy to have a furry friend keep me company and get some exercise together. Your pet won’t be lonely! I have a fully fenced yard with lots of space to play and explore. The fenced area is almost 1/2 an acre so plenty of room.
“Andrew and family were great with Stella! She and Cosmo played together so much they just chilled out the rest of the afternoon. We are looking forward to our next stay!”

About: We are not your average sitter! Parents who wish for their dogs to have fun in a safe and controlled way please read on! If your 4 legged friend stays with me, not only will they be treated like the family pack, we will be busy doing fun things. Don’t leave your dog somewhere locked up in a strangers house wondering when you will come back! They hate that! We can have field trips to different hiking locations/ parks around Lexington, lots of fun activities involving food (yum!) and you bet there will be an overload of pictures to share! Challenging dogs, active dogs, and everything in between are welcome! *Bathes with many shampoo options available as well as a blow dry. Fees apply **I offer free pick up and drop offs (although anyone is welcome to do so themselves) within 20 miles of Nicholasville** About this sitter: I have been working with dogs (and other animals) since 2011 in various capacities so your dog will be in well capable hands. The last 3 years I have been training dogs in California and have completed 2 prestigious courses for dog trainers. I have fostered many dogs from the animal shelter so I have learned how to help dogs smoothly adjust into new environments. My other favorite hobby aside from working with dogs are training with my own dogs, horseback riding, and hiking with friends and their pooches in large packs. I am happy to work with any training request while your pups is here if you so choose. Why I love dog sitting I love to give people piece of mind that their pups are accepted, well taken care of and thriving in an environment that is good for their dogs. In return, I get to meet new breeds and temperaments of dogs that will value my future career! A total win win situation. I also love an extra excuse to get out and explore new hiking trails! About my yard We have a large yard with the house situated in the middle. It is unfenced but no one goes off leash (long line) until there is a better understanding of the dog and their habits. There is a flowing creek and dam on the property as well as plenty of space to run around. Your dogs will never want to leave! My experience administering medication Yes, I have administered medications orally, and through injections. The mornings are for potty time followed by breakfast if applicable. After food is digested and the human is ready, we will venture out for the day for a walk, hike, or playtime. I am only caring for pets in my home currently, but I will care for any guest with respect and also keep them entertained. I have all needed supplies but special bedding is allowed to bring with their stay.
About: I’ve been a dog groomer for 1 year. That’s allowed me to learn many different dog breeds, as well as different behaviors styles and techniques for safety in dogs and cats. I’ve watched multiple animal at a time for 10+ years. I pride myself in following a strict schedule that’s given, as well as being sure medication is given if needed and animals are safe during the duration under my care. Taking videos and pictures to be sent while the owner is away is a given for me to make owners feel at ease while being away. I’m very lenient with scheduling, as long as you and the pet is happy and comfortable. I have 5 dogs of my own, all medium-large breeds. I make my own dog treats for their health and happiness. Exercising dog’s minds and bodies are very important to me as well. Attention, time, and love are my priorities when it comes to dogs and cats. I have references from trusted friends I’ve made over the years of pet sitting. I’m a dog groomer. The shop I work at is two minutes from my house inside town, and it gives me great flexibility to fit my job as a dog watcher. Both are very rewarding. Pets in my home have the ability to have as many potty breaks as needed and as much yard time in my fenced in back yard. I have plenty of toys to choose from, homemade treats offered, and a good tight schedule we all can benefit from. In clients home, I got by the exact schedule I am given to allow the animals to continue their activities as normal- as well to give owners a piece of mind.
