About: I have owned dogs all of my life and understand that they are family members and should be treated as such! I love all dogs from big to small and young to old. While I do not have any pets of my own right now, I would love to help care for yours whether it be feeding, walking, playing, loving on them or more. I am currently off for the summer leaving me plenty of time to care for your pets. From August to May, I work 2 days a week so I will still have plenty of availability. I have two daughters who live with me part time ages 9 and 7 who love pets as well. I would love to care for your pets as you see fit in your home! Just let me know their daily routine and I can accommodate.
“August is a pro. Here are just a few examples. -Established immediate rapport with, and respect from, our teenage Bernedoodle. -Came to the meet and greet prepared to take notes -Confirmed the dates after our meet and greet, as well as confirmation the morning of the job. -Left our home every bit as tidy as when we left -Sent pictures and gave Tigger good walks We'll plan to hire August again.”

“Svetlana was amazing with our boys. She sent us updates everyday and was amazing with them. She did amazing administrating insulin to our dog Koda twice a day. Definitely going to book again!”

“Susana took such great care of our pup earlier this year that we rebooked her to stay with our dog, Remi, and my parents' dog, Winnie, when we went out of town for a family event. She's such a wonderful sitter. She was in touch each day, letting us know the boys were doing great, and she sent us pictures, too. Her communication was comforting and put my parents at ease that Winnie was having a great time even though they were away. We appreciate Susana so much and will definitely request her help again the next time we leave town.”

“Juan did a great job with our boy. We got updates and pictures and he was very responsive to any messages we sent while we were away. Took great care of the house as well!”

“Josie did an amazing job taking care of my dogs and my home. The dogs were very happy and the house looked great. I would definitely have her back again. Thank you!”

“Allie is the best!! This was the first time we’ve left our dog in a long time, so we were so happy to know he was in such good hands. Allie is a great communicator and genuinely cared for our dog and home as her own. I know he had a great time with her and we would 100% ask Allie to watch him again!”

“Laurie was excellent to work with! She house sat and took care of our dog, Luna, while we were away on an international vacation. Laurie was incredibly communicative, caring, and exercised such consideration when caring after Luna and our home. We highly recommend working with her for any housesitting and pet care needs!”

“Christina absolutely exceeded any expectations we had of a dog/house sitter. Her communication was extraordinary and updates (including pictures & videos) throughout the day brought us serious piece of mind while out-of-state. She went above and beyond to keep our home & dogs safe. We cannot wait to book her for ALL of our upcoming trips!! ??❤️”

About: Caring for all animals. Fur babies large and small. Young and old alike. Barn animals… horses, mini horses, goats chickens and donkeys. Of course your kitty too. We do reptiles. Finding one’s self with little to do after retirement, caring for animals just fit in so well and what a stress reliever these fur babies are. 😄 I have double fenced in areas, with all sizes of houses. My preference is to care for animals in their own environments. They are Less stressed at home.😉
“Daniel was the best dog/house sitter we have ever used! He took such great care of our pups, always updating us and left our house soooo clean! We will be booking him to help us every time! The dogs loved him too!”

“Our dogs are like our children so we only leave them in the best hands. We did a meet and greet with Rita before booking her for our trip. Rita was more than willing to do it complimentary, but with any business it is important to pay people for their time and professionalism. Rita’s high reviews are accurate and we felt at ease by the end of the meet and greet. Fast forward to the first time we booked Rita, which was over a holiday weekend. Rita stayed at our house overnight and ensured our dogs felt at ease with us being gone. We have a very protective German Shepherd (90lbs) and an older Yorkie (9lbs), which require different levels of attention. Rita communicated multiple times a day with pictures and updates. By the time we came home, our pets were very content and did not act like we ever left. It was a wonderful surprise to see how relaxed they were, especially our shepherd. We will book again and cannot speak highly enough of Rita’s great care.”

About: Ever since I was young, I have loved being around animals and helping take care of them, especially dogs. Watching dogs has always come naturally to me because I am patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. What makes me different from other dog sitters is that I treat every dog like they are my own by giving them attention, affection, exercise, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know them and build trust. My love for animals motivates me to provide the best care possible and create a fun, caring environment for every pet I watch. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give them the attention they need. I am organized and responsible, so I can easily plan my days around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and check-ins. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping them on their normal routine as much as possible. I provide fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention and affection. I also make sure pets get plenty of exercise and companionship so they stay happy and relaxed while their owners are away. In a client’s home, I respect their space and carefully follow any instructions they leave regarding feeding schedules, medications, routines, or special care needs. My goal is always to create a calm, caring environment where pets feel comfortable and well cared for.
“Hailey took great care of the house and the dogs during our trip. She was communicative and sent pics and videos now and then to show us how they were doing. We felt confident leaving everything in her hands and would certainly book her again. Thank you Hailey!”

“Brooke was fantastic! She was kind enough to come by and meet our kiddos and they just loved her! It was the first time I used Rover and I was so pleased with how easy everything was. We are excited to have a new dog sitter that we can trust with our little loves!! Thank you Brooke!!”

“Syanne did an amazing job taking care of our 3 fur babies. She was so patient with them and won them over easily. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing they were receiving great care. Syanne was always available and gave updates while we were away. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Levi was an amazing sitter!! He was very communicative and kind. We will definitely be rebooking and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is nervous about leaving your babies!! I was, and he made the whole experience easy and worry-free. A++++++++++”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Yrisarri on Rover is $26.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 592 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Yrisarri. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yrisarri walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yrisarri maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yrisarri choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yrisarri. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 91% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
