“Our dogs are like our children so we only leave them in the best hands. We did a meet and greet with Rita before booking her for our trip. Rita was more than willing to do it complimentary, but with any business it is important to pay people for their time and professionalism. Rita’s high reviews are accurate and we felt at ease by the end of the meet and greet. Fast forward to the first time we booked Rita, which was over a holiday weekend. Rita stayed at our house overnight and ensured our dogs felt at ease with us being gone. We have a very protective German Shepherd (90lbs) and an older Yorkie (9lbs), which require different levels of attention. Rita communicated multiple times a day with pictures and updates. By the time we came home, our pets were very content and did not act like we ever left. It was a wonderful surprise to see how relaxed they were, especially our shepherd. We will book again and cannot speak highly enough of Rita’s great care.”

About: I've had large dogs since I was born and when I was young I remember going outside and feeding them with my mom and giving them treats. Now I have two small dogs I've had for 10 years that I trained myself, they know pretty much every basic command plus some that are more advanced. I also groom them myself such as brushing and bathing. I love walking my dogs and getting out of the house and getting fresh air, it always tires them out so they can sleep throughout the night. I'm available full time since I left Amazon in Feb. I will be able to give dogs or cats my full attention all day and night. I can take them out for walks or even give them outdoor time in my yard. I'm new to pet sitting in-home but I'm sure I'll learn along the way. I have a fenced yard they can play in and a park is close by to play at. I don't crate my pets but I can crate yours if needed.

“Paloma was so wonderful - my cat loved her! Our cat is a bit high maintenance and needs a lot of attention, sometimes acts out, and is happiest when the sitter can stay at our place with her. Paloma was so attentive and really met all of her needs. She sent updates with photos and made us feel so at ease that our cat and our home were in good hands. About: I’ve been trusted to care for elderly dogs that need medication, to the littles still in potty training. I will follow whatever instructions are left to give the best care. Even if your baby needs their food “cooked” on the stove or need to be tucked in for a story. I’ve raised two dogs of my own and one cat, all who love to play. Ex-teacher on summer break so my schedule is open. I will be starting school in the fall so scheduling will change but I can easily be flexible and respond quickly. I can accommodate crating, open, yards, going for walks, etc. I aim to give your pet consistency so they are safe and comfortable when in my care.

About: Caring for all animals. Fur babies large and small. Young and old alike. Barn animals… horses,mini horses,goats chickens and donkeys. Of course your kitty too. We do reptiles. Finding one’s self with little to do after retirement, caring for animals just fit in so well and what a stress reliever these fur babies are. 😄 I have double fenced in areas, with all sizes of houses. My preference is to care for animals in their own environments. They are Less stressed at home.😉

About: If there's anything that I can brighten my day, it's seeing a happy dog! Since I was young I have always had a soft heart for all animals. I believe in the ethical treatment of animals, and I will advocate for them however I can. I have cared for many dogs of my own over the years, as well as for others. Your fur babies will get as much love as I give my own. Caring for animals has always brought me a deep sense of comfort and joy. I especially enjoy supporting senior pets or those who need a little extra attention, patience, and care. I recently lost my beloved dog of 15 years to cutaneous lymphoma, which required attentive, around-the-clock care, including carefully timed medications and a thoughtfully managed diet tailored to his health needs. He was truly a member of my family, and his loss has left a significant space in my life—one of the reasons I’ve chosen to join Rover. I’m very attentive, protective, and detail-oriented when it comes to an animal’s well-being. My experience has also led me to learn extensively about canine health, particularly cancer prevention and supportive care. Caring for animals is important to me, as I know completely how worrisome it can be to give your baby to someone else and hope they get the same love and care. I have always been very cautious with my pets in any situation and this is one of the reasons I joined Rover. I understand the nervousness of giving someone else the responsibility of your beloved pet, and if I can be that relief to someone else then I would love to! The attention, detail, and care I put into them reflects my fees. Since my dog has passed, I truly miss the simple joys of daily walks and spending time outside with a dog, and I look forward to providing loving, reliable care for yours. I currently work on a project basis and have full availability, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, walks, and play. I’m attentive to details, keep a close eye on your pet’s behavior, and provide regular updates so you feel informed and at ease while you’re away. I have also been accepted as an APS substitute teacher, so I have passed an extensive background check. Along with dog sitting, my background also includes a professional career in the film industry, teaching English in Spain with families, and caring for a farm in Hawaii. If caring for pets in my home, I maintain a clean, secure environment with plenty of supervision, comfort, and affection. I ensure pets have a safe space to relax, access to fresh water, and appropriate exercise and enrichment based on their energy level and needs. Safety is always my top priority. I’m mindful during walks (leash safety, surroundings, avoiding hazards), and I’m experienced with administering medications and caring for senior or higher-needs pets. About: I am a former zookeeper and I have a couple of years experience in veternary care. I’ve had animals of all kinds my entire life. I live with my husband and we both love spending time with animals. I work for the film industry and would love to pet sit your pet while I’m in between jobs. Productions have slowed down a lot over the past few years, so I have time currently. I have a larger fenced in yard that can actually be divided into 2 separate yards. Pets are allowed on our furniture and encouraged to sleep in the bedroom with us at night.
